"Yeah, they probably wouldn't like it," Arianna admitted, crinkling her nose slightly. She did think Raynor and Davenport would let her leave, but anyone else she wasn't so sure of. Especially that runes professor. It was hard to prove that you wanted to stay in the class when you didn't enjoy it much. Arianna really liked runes, but it was really difficult for her to have one-on-one time with a professor she didn't care for. It would obviously be hard to sneak out of that one. "I'd come as soon as possible, though."

"Your necklace doesn't work," he reminded her and he pulled on the chain he still wore around his neck. He assumed his dragon pendant still opperated properly, but they'd never know for sure with Ari's on the blink. "Maybe we need to get it fixed... or go back to the old dogtags, huh?"

Arianna frowned at the reminder. It really upset her that it had broken and took all her energy not to run off, find Reina and give the snake a good slugging. It was the Slytherin's fault Arianna's pendent had gotten ruined. Had the girl not tried to take the necklace and broken it Arianna wouldn't have spent all that time during Drew's absence worrying that they'd never be able to find the boy.
"They're kinda hard to replace..." Arianna muttered. "We can use the tags until I figure out what to do, though we won't be able to send messages anymore."

Drew pulled her closer and leaned into her, feeling the slight shift in the mood. "We can try and get them fixed," he tried again, feeling like it might be a more feasable option than a total replacement. He knew they were rare but probably not impossible to find. Reina had gotten her hands on a similar one after all.

Arianna sat quietly for a moment, picking lightly at Drew's hair. Any egg in it had nearly hardened and she had made little spikes in those areas. She wondered for a moment if Drew would let her fix up all of his hair with the egg gel.
"You still want to make that cake?" the girl questioned, smiling sheepishly at an elf that had wandered past. "Or we could go jump in the lake to get this junk off us."

As good as the cake sounded, jumping into the lake sounded so much better to him right now. He could just imagine the coolness washing over him, calming his muscles and clearing his mind. Still, he had a good idea that Ari may have been looking forward to the hunk of chocolately goodness they had planned. "What do you want to do?" he asked softly, not wanting to make the actual desicion.

"Well...I wonder if the elves might have some cake already made?" Arianna directed this question at a passing elf. Making a cake still sounded fun, but she wasn't the one with egg all over herself and Arianna thought for sure that Drew wouldn't want to sit around for another hour like he was, waiting for the cake to finish. "Then we can take it down to the lake."
It seemed they were in luck today. In no time at all, the elves had brought out a cake delicately decorated and possibly looking better than either Ravenclaw could have done.
