It was odd to hear the raven telling him that prejudism wasn't a word, he and his crew used the word all the time.
Ain't raven for nothing Devlin thought to himself. I could leanr a lot from these ravens... It was this time that he remembered an old saying about knowledge equals power.
"It was just a joke." He explained then leaned to try and spot the young Lianna. "I didn't mean anything by it I swear." Sure it looked like he was just trying to get out of trouble but he was just messing with her in the first place.

"Lianna's a good kid," Drew told him, looking over his shoulder to where the little Huffle was hiding herself. "Most of the the Badger girls are. You have some good kids in your house too. You end up missing out on a lot of good contacts... a lot of valuable information... if you limit your circle to the house you were sorted into."

"The ironic thing is I haven't even met anyone from my house yet." In all honesty Drew had been the first who introduced himself before giving him a lecture. "They seem to be harder to find than the right stairs to take."

"Charlie's the brains of the bunch, just so you know," Drew told him. "Reina can be a lot of fun as long as you stay on her good side." The others, he could take or leave them, especially now since Laura had seemed to go back home.

So Charlie's the ring leader, I'll have to learn more about him. Devlin thought.
"Reina has a bad side, and Charlie holds the leash." Devlin recapped. "So the rest of them are all jerks." That seemed to be the repeating theme for Slytherin.

"I didn't say that," Drew answered with a small shrug. "I don't know many of the others. Just like any house: I'm sure a few of them are jerks, a few of them are idiots, and a few of them are pretty decent people."

As the two boys babbled on about houses, prejudice, sides and what such, Lianna had inched herself cautiously back into the light. The situation seemed to have stabilized, and the boy didn't seem all half-bad anymore, well, maybe half, but he wasn't threatening.
She was half tempted to speak, but, about what, what could she talk about, what input did she have? None. All because she simply couldn't think of what to say, at all.

"Like all houses?" Devlin repeated. "So does that mean that Ravenclaw has jerks?" It was an intresting developement to find that the houses weren't united, seemed as though groups would form inside the houses as well as outside instead of uniting by house.

"What, you think we're immune to jerkiness?" Drew asked. "Or that I'd be too blind to notice them? Every group of people is bound to have a little bit of everything."
Heck, he was well aware of how many people considered HIM to be the jerk of Ravenclaw.

Towers and dungeons, tall and small, Young and experienced... Devlin started checking traits off in his mind that the three of them had to check the Ravens point.
"Hey...Lianna right?" He tried to remember the girls name. "You can join us again, it's alright. Can even stay behind...Drew if you want." It was more impulse than anything that had led him to his actions.

Drew looked over his shoulder at the Hufflepuff again, giving her an encouraging grin and nodding at her to join them. He doubted the Slytherin would mess with her now, and definitely not while he was standing right there.

A smile perked at the sides of her mouth as beckoning from both parties, sincere beckoning at that, called her over. Nodding she rejoined the two, a verbal voice still not yet having found its roots.
She still had nothing to go with, as she hadn't been told much of Hogwarts prior to her departure.

The fact that she still couldn't talk revealed to Devlin that he had terrified the girl enough so that she would think twice before entering this area alone. One must defend their turf by any means necessary, and the less people willing to enter the better. However the Ravens all seemed to be on their toes and ready for almost anything, they seemed to be the 'protective brother' type to all younger and probably to those who are older as well. In fact the Ravens might be the only house in the school that actually stuck together.
After a few seconds of silence Devlin half muttered "I didn't mean it."

Think twice? She would think far more than twice, farm more. But when he spoke, she saw and heard truth in his voice, truth she hadn't expected to see, to hear. And that left her at a tough set of crossroads. Forgive and forget, or incriminate?
Forgiveness, was in her nature. "Its...al-alright." She answered warily. How else was there to answer the person who scared you, toyed with you, and made you think you had only one way out? You don't exactly welcome forgiving them with open arms, but you have to. For both consciences.
