Jake, being a muggle born, felt like he had to go with a classic look for the Holloween Ball. He had taken special precautions and even had his mum buy a few needed materials and send them to him. As he put on a pair of black dress pants, a blood red vest ( special for the occasion ) over his white long sleeved button down shirt, he tried quickly to ready himself for the ball. He really didn't want to be late meeting Talia there, but he wondered why he hadn't thought of meeting up before so they could go in together. Shrugging slightly, Jake slicked his hair back with a black colored gel. He grinned and tried to put on the pair of vampire teeth. He tried for about ten minutes only to discover that there was directions.... Wow, he was having a bad night so far. He hoped that a certain someone could change that quickly. Quickly grabbing his cape and fastening it on, Jake walked to the Great Hall and looked around, searching for Talia. He slid the teeth on, and looked in a window as he passed by, they looked rather real in his opinion and he thought it rather funny. Walking over to Talia, Jake grinned and said, " Looking very lovely this evening, I really musy say. " With a slight wink as he took her hand in his. Talia smiled at Anna, and nodded, "Ah, who's the lucky guy?" She asked, and hadn't seen Jake yet. "I'm waiting for someone too." She said, and just at that moment she heard Jake talkint to her. She spun around and smiled a huge smile, "Don't you look dashing." She said, meaning it. Although he was in a vampire suit, he still looked good. "I love the costume." She added, as he slipped his hand into hers. She held in gently, and continued to smile. She knew tonight was going to be just great, and hadn't even seen the inside of the Great Hall yet. She wondered if they would walk in together, or what. She wasn't big on making moves.

Matty walked into the ball feeling quite lonly. She had only just finished it the night before. Gazming around the room at the decorations, she thought that this was going to be a screem. Tonight her look was of a Forest Pixie. Her hair draped out, she had extentions to make it longer. Her eyes she had magilly changed to mach the bottle jewl she had.On her head, sitted a bronze band with white and gold wings on eiter side. Around her neck she had a emerald green and bronze choker. Laying in the middle of it was a bottle green jewl.
Matty was waering a pale grass green dress with no sleeves. It fell down into puffs and had bronze embrodery around it. Underneth the lager puffs, were small paler green ones. On her arms she had the same pale green colour her underneth puffs. They went up to in the middle of her ellbow and shoulder length. On both sides were bronze bands. Coming down from her feet were yet again the smae pale green colour stockings. They only went up to her thighs, with broza trimming around the top of them. Her shoes were bottle green with pale green straps across them, because they were an open hight heel, that wasn't too high.
For her exsesories, she had a small glass cone/dimond shaped jar. In it was a small glittering ball of white light. As it shimmered and sparkled, the light of it shon onto the bronze top and bottom og it. The whole thing was safley clipped at the side of her dress. As she walked into the ball, noticing that not many people she knew were in there, Matty simply went and stood at the wall to the right of her. Leaning aganst it she looked down and sighed, woundering if he would come soon.

Ray was wandering around, she didn't know to many people and had recognized none so far. Choosing a person at random, a girl who was older than her by a year or two by the looks of it, who was alone she walked up to them. She was very effectively hidden in the smoke by her white costume until she drew closer. "Hey." She said with a smile. “What are you supposed to be?” She asked as she gazed of the girls costume.

Caden stalked into the great hall. A white long sleeved shirt that buttoned down the front and was rather fluffy along the buttons, a black tie, and tight black pants that only came down to mid-calf. Sleek white socks that came up to the pants and shiny black shoes. He also were a bright red jacket with rather large shoulder pads which sleeves came to his wrists but the actual jacket only came down just past his breastbone, this was covered with shinny gold sequins. A curving black hat was perched onto of his head and a bright red cape hung off one shoulder and his hair had been temporarily died to dark brown. On his belt in a sleek black leather case hung a sword, not a teal one of course, plastic but it looked real. Obviously he was a matador. Cadence had seen a bull-fight once, it was a gruesome thing but he had been unable to take his eyes off the fight. He had almost come as a bull with a lance sticking out of its chest but this was easer.
He leaned against the door frame and waited for somebody to come by he recognized and waiting for somebody to recognize him.

Ivy hugged Mike tightly, "Mike, I just need... time, that's all. I just need time." She spoke softly and carefully. He probably didn't understand, but his effort to try meant a lot to her. It really did. She sighed, and wished that she could've been a better person. For quite a while, she had this creeping feeling that she wasn't a good person. She had hurt many people in her self-centeredness-- there needed to be a change. Mike's arm hung limp around Ivy's waist as they stood there in each others arms. He smiled lightly and kissed her on the forehead lightly. "Let's just enjoy the night eh" He said with a wink

Charlie could tell from the voice that it was Arty, but when she turned around with a punch cup to her mouth, she almost took a spit take. "Holy crap, kid!" She set the cup down and tilted her head at the skeleton. She wasn't sure if she saw his costume before leaving the common room, but she sure had an eyeful now. "Nice costume you got goin' for ya."

Noah looked at the exchange between Lauren and Jade, and scratched his head-- not sure what to do. It would probably be best to just leave with Lauren, his "date" and talk to Jade later. "Thanks, Estaci-- but we got it. Er... save me a dance?" he smiled at her, hoping that she wouldn't be mad at them leaving. He was grateful that she was trying to help, but Lauren didn't seem to be too happy about it.
He grabbed Lauren's wrist and lead her away to a corner. "Lauren, you alright?" He took his wand out of his pocket and hesitated. "I'm not very good at cleaning spells, but I'm sure there's some way of removing this... I'm really, really sorry," he said to her, feeling bad that he spilled punch all over her.

Ivy nodded at Mike, still rather worried and looked around. "There's not that many people here yet..." She sighed, feeling rather disappointed. Perhaps it wasn't the best idea to come here so early. No one had even showed up. Lately, she had kept an eye out for Allegra or Kellen, but alas, no luck.
Ivy had made it her responsibility to ensure that Allegra and Kellen at least went to the Ball with each other. Annoyingly so, she had kept up with this responsibility. Though, as usual, there was another creeping feeling that she shouldn't get involved with these two. It was best just to let them be.
Pfft! Yeah right!

Esmerelda gracefully entered the Great Hall in a black gown. Her long black hair was strewn down around her bare shoulders into soft curls that seemed to bounce as she walked. The black gown made her pale skin seem even paler, as if it almost glowed. Her makeup was dark and majestic. She looked radiant. Not that she thought she did. She was pretty self concious about it, not that she would let anyone know that. She hadn't asked anyone and no one had asked her but she didn't mind all that much when she saw how many people came without dates.
She looked around the Great Hall. It was sensational and everyone around with their creepy costumes only heightened it. She hoped this night would be awesome because it seemed like it would be. Es headed over to the punch table and got herself a glass of punch. The food looked delightfully yucky but it still looked good to eat. She glanced around, still staring at all the decorations, it was like a zombies dream come true, not that she was a zombie. She wasn't sure what she was but she liked her costume anyway. She walked around for a bit, saying hello to a few people.

Ash stood up limply. Her face was sickly, almost blue. Her eyes, wide open as if she had just seen something very scary. Stupid...you. are. so. stupid. Just go and die, Ash-- look at what you did... just go and die. She bit her lip and walked away from Jade without a word. This was terrible.
Don't talk to anyone for now-- until everything cools off. This was all your fault, you are so stupid all the time, how did you get into Ravenclaw anyway? Just die. she reached teh corner of the room and slumped down on the wall. You ruined it, everything.

Charon took a goblet of pumpkin juice and wandered away from the food table. It looked like he was in for a night of boredom. Maybe he'd just go home early. He sipped at the juice, looking around at the people gathered. There were so few people that he knew, and all of them seemed busy talking to someone else. Oh well. He didn't mind wandering and people watching for a bit longer. And he could at least see if it was possible to get drunk on pumpkin juice. He knew it was more than possible to do it with caffinated sodas, but he'd never tried with any non-alcoholic, non-caffinated drink before.

She was sure she could be an okay friend. But Lauren just wasn't interested. The way Jade came off, and how they started out just soiled Lauren opinion of her. It wouldn't change, not now anyway. Lauren was relieved when they got to the corner. It gave her a moment to actually look over the damage that had been done. There was no way this was coming with a cleaning spell, not one done by Noah anyway. It's not that she didn't trust him, but he openly admitted just then that she wasn't good with cleaning spells. Who knows what could happen. Shaking her head , "No, screw it," she mumbled. She searched around, no wand. She put up her finger as a sign for him to fold on. She ran out of the Great Hall to the Dungeon door. Why couldn't they permit wands to the dance. That was the whole point of having a back-up dress charm on her wand in the first place right? Grr, she hurried down to the Slytherin Common Room. She had left her wand by the door. Trying to remember what Beni told her, she flicked her wand and point at herself. She'd be screwed if this didn't work and might as well stay there. She honestly wasn't sure what it was supposed to look like, but it look okay. Great, another dress. As she walked back to the Great Hall, she almost wished someone would spill another drink on her so she could go back to the common room and stay there or change into something she preferred. Luckily for her, other than her crazy hair, which Beni seemed to have a knack for going wild, she only liked her Snake bracelet. "Ya know you're not supposed to have those things here, eh?" Lauren said entering the Great Hall in the shortest time she could manage.

Esmerelda walked around, sipping her punch. She was so busy staring at the decorations and trying to figure out who was who under their magnificent costumes that she wasn't watching where she was going. She happened to bump into Charon. She gave a slight gasp and took a few steps backward, trying not to fall. It was hard in her high high heels. Es grasped her cup, trying to keep it from falling out her hands and spilling everywhere. Luckily, she was able to not fall. She straightened herself up, grasping her cup tightly. She looked up to see who she bumped into but she didn't know who it was, her eyes widened. Their costume was great. She couldn't believe she had almost spilled pumpkin juice on him.
"I'm sorry.."
She said softly, tucking her long black hair behind her ear.

Charon had neither been holding his cup close to him, nor had he been drinking out of it when the girl had bumped into him. So when his pumpkin juice splashed in the goblet, and out of it, it hadn't gotten on him or his costume. He turned to view the person who'd bumped him and found himself face to face with a girl, a fairly attractive one at that. "That's all right," he said. She hadn't hurt him or ruined his costume, and it was likely an accident. No reason to get upset over that. He looked her over. Her costume seemed to be solely black dress. It certainly looked nice, but it gave no clues as to who or what she was supposed to be. "May I ask who you are?" he asked, referring to both the girl and her costume.
