"I'm thinking..." Lianna mumbled into her hand, which had came up to cover her mouth after her angry outburst. A moment of silence took over, and it felt far from solemn, but Lianna eventually broke it again. "Sorry Abi...I..didn't...I didn't mean for this to happen..." The girl said meekly. It really was her fault, she was the one that was supposed to be remembering where they were going. She had said she would and she hadn't.
Her fault. Just like everything else.

She didn't look at Lianna but rather continued to stare at the floor. "It's not your fault," she murmured. "It's not like you made me come or anything." It was in fact exactly the opposite; Lianna had told Abby to stay behind. Remaining quiet for a minute to try and figure out what to do, the first year ran possible options through her mind.
"We could stay here for the night and hope no one finds us," she suggested. By 'no one' she implied both staff and murderer. "Or we could keep going and hope we find our way back to the common room or at least somewhere familiar." She wasn't sure she wanted to walk anymore though and chance getting even more lost in the labrynth that was the dungeons.

Lianna bit her lower lip, as she always did when she was nervous, or, in this case, scared from most rational thinking. Listening to Abi speak provided two things, options, and comfort. She'dve been shaking in fear if she'd been alone out in the Dungeons, she was glad the girl had came.
"Well, which do you want to do...?" Lianna questioned, her voice a murmur, her eyes showing some sense of fatigue, which also showed she hadn't slept yet, at all. She should've listened to Abigail, should've stayed in the common room, in bed, but didn't. Curse her stubbornness.

Abigail shrugged. "It's cold out here, but I'm afraid if we go any further we'll just end up in some forbidden area or something. I guess we should just stay here and hope morning comes fast. What do you say?" Her voice remained very quiet though it was also steady. In the back of her mind Abby hoped a professor or someone would find them and come to their rescue despite the fact that it would most likely bring some sort of punishment.

Lianna nodded and frowned. She wasn't nervous about beling lost, no, that was always just part of the adventure, it was the darkness that was getting to her at the moment. While abi had been flinching at every torchlight, Lianna was praising it. Seeing the only light so far away, it made her excrucitatingly nervous.
the only upside, that was both a blessing and a curse, were the halls, corridors, were completely silent. they'd be able to hear anything from a good ways away. But, it also meant they could be heard as well.

They were about in the middle of the corridor so the torch at the end T-intersection was only about ten or fifteen yards away. Squiggling around until she was lying with her back against the wall and on her left side, Abby positioned her arms so that she could lay her head on them as a makeshift pillow. She brought her legs up so that her knees reached her lower stomach and curled slightly into a small ball shape. The Huffle stared blankly at the opposite wall, her gaze tracing the cracks running up and down and side to side. Although she didn't prefer the silence, Abigail didn't say anything or do anything to break it. Her teeth chattered occasionally, though that was the only noise which came from the first year.
This is going to be a long night, Abigail thought glumly as she gritted her teeth to keep them from making anymore noise.

Lianna made no attempt to get comfortable, her mind was too busy racing, trying to fill in the gaps of the route they had came, and then playing them in reverse, which was only giving her a headache, but unlike when the adventure began, she now wanted yo be back within the common room.
The girl sighed in frustration, continueing to rock her brain harder into giving her the right information. It was all there, somewhere, she knew it. She just knew it. It was just a matter of reordering it and finding it. "Abi...?" She questioned quietly. "Wha' d'you got planned for the summer?"

If Abigail knew Lianna was trying to figure out their way back, she would of immediately told her to stop thinking about it. It would be impossible to remember, especially after not paying attention the second half of the trip, and it would only cause more (unnecessary) stress. Still staring at the wall, Abby answered her friend's question with a voice which sounded more relaxed than it had previously that night. "Nothing, really. I'm just going home to Reading. You know, spend time with my dad and sister. I'm pretty excited actually, even though it sounds boring. What about you?" The topic refrained the Huffle's mind from thinking about their current predicament and helped to slow her heart rate down a bit.

She hadn't even known where her question had came from, it really, she supposed, had just been something to break the silence. Still, she couldn't help but wonder if she'd have remembered the way back if she'd been by herself. Lianna probably wouldn'tve thought to remember her route at all.
"The same I guess, I mean, I can't right go anywhere else..." Lianna replied, turning her head to look at her curled up compadre. How the Hufflepuff girl could be that comfortable given the circumstances was beyond her, but she figured she should probably try and get some sleep. Part of her wanted to try and find the way back, a large part of her. But she couldn't bring herself to leave Abi there, nope, she had too much heart.

Far from comfortable ( ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ), Abigail nodded against her arm. "You could visit me if you want," she offered. "Manchester isn't exactly close to Reading, but you could Floo or take the train." She had actually been meaning to ask the Huffle if she wanted to hang out over break, though with all her homesickness didn't know if Lianna wanted to spend any time away from her family.

(xD)
If that hadn't been an invitation to make the summer less boring she didn't know what elce could be, well, besides a suggestion to do something else over the summer. "You're serious, well, yeah, course your serious, I mean, you sure your folks won't mind?" Lianna questioned, making some attempt to get lsightly comfrtable herself now. There reall wasn't much point by now of trying much else now, was there?

" 'Course I'm serious," Abigail said. "Krissy is going to visit me over break sometime, too. My house shall be filled with Huffles throughout the summer," she smiled widely at this thought, comforted by that fact. Looking up at Lianna and watching her try to get somewhat comfortable, Abby asked, "You interested in coming? My dad won't mind a bit."
