He smiled at Verina agreeing with him and then smirked in response to Jack. At Jack's following words to him and then his look to Verina Nick couldn't help but let out a small laugh but quickly covered his mouth with one of his hands to muffle the noise. He just couldn't help himself Jack pulling that one like he was about to believe that for one minute. Not. He merely grinned in response to his cousin who seemed rather serious that day but then again he did usually have his days and Nick had learned how to deal with him when he was like that.

Verina's eyebrow's had shot up at sheer shock well if Jack was so well behaved it was amazing then it was news to her. She had found that he only behaved himself when he wanted to usually when a professor or adult was around but otherwise.... That was a different case entirely. "You already know that doesn't work on me," she replied sticking her tongue out at him but only slightly before smiling. "And anways..." she leaned toward him until they were inches apart, "We both know Mr. Roarbitz that you are not always well behaved," her eyes twinkled with amusement as she leaned away from him.
Hearing their professor she looked toward the front of the class and wondered which one of them would have a story to tell and if they did if they wouldn't be embarrassed enough to tell it.

"It just depends on your definition of well behaved," Jack said with a playful smile and a wink as she leaned away from him. "And I do have to say that according to my definition I am very well behaved." Okay so he had to try hard to say the last bit with a straight face, but he thought he did alright covering up the amusement in his voice. He knew he was no angel, but he certainly wasn't going to admit to it at the moment. Besides he was an angel compared to some people, so it really was what definition you were going by.

Verina could tell he was having some difficulty saying that with a straight face because he was well aware of the fact that he wasn't. She couldn't help but shake her head slightly at him, "Then what about we go with my definition of well behaved. And since we are you are clearly not well behaved and i'm guessing my defintion is like yours. Sooo are you still gonna try sticking with you are?" she asked with a slight rise of her eyebrows amusement in her voice at his antics.

"Alright maybe I am not well behaved every now and then," Jack said with a smile, "But we all know you like it." He added with a playful wink. So she caught him in his little exaggeration of the truth, but he knew that there was no fun in being well behaved all of the time. When it really came down to it, he would take fun over proper behavior anyday. "Besides where is the fun in being well behaved. I mean all that gets you is a nice pat on the back, not much else."

"Finally you admit it," Verina replied with a smirk on her lips of triumph at the fact that he had it wasn't often that Jack actually acknowledged something. He usually preferred to remain blissfully ignorant. "As far as me liking it or not that has nothing to do with it," she replied though a small smile played on her lips. "If i remember correctly their was a boy i'd met when i first came here who was just that well behaved," she replied with a bemused expression. When she'd met Jack and they'd first become friends he had been very much the ideal ravenclaw personifying their characteristics. "Only a pat on the back and not much else huh?" Verina asked with a slight raise of her eyebrows.

"Perhaps," Jack said with a smile, knowing full well that he had changed a little bit since the first time they had met. Of course he just wrote this off as her influencing his personality. After all what else could it have been? Okay there probably were other factors that fed into it, but he liked to tease Verina with that one best. "But I guess you have just worn off on me," he added with a playful smile. Then seeing her raise her eye brows he just smiled and said, "Exactly."

Verina couldn't believe that he'd just put all his mischeviousness on her like she could have wrought all that in Jack by herself. Sure in the beginning she had to admit that she'd influenced Jack in a few ways but that had been a while ago and never in any extreme ways. Okay maybe not being first to all their classes any more but was that really such a bad thing. "Mr. Roarbitz i am so not going to let you put all of that on me. We both know that alot of that is all you," she said giving him a knowing look. She couldn't but wonder if he'd still stick with that or if he'd admit it. But all things considered she couldn't help but wonder if just another side of Jack had started to emerge on its own.

"Whatever you say," Jack said with a playful grin and a small laugh. Yes it was evident that even though he was agreeing with her, he really wasn't. It was him just messing around again and the grin and the laugh conveyed it all. "If you don't want to own up to it I will take the responsibility for it." he added with small smirk and a playful glint in his eye. "After all I am sure I could find other, less plausable reasons, that we could pin it on."
