Pillow Fight! Not. But no doubt some of the fifth year students would attempt to claim that such a display of horse-play would improve their physical skills should they ever have to turn to muggle resources when defending themselves from a Dark Wizard. What if they lost their wand? Oh, Raynor would calmly inform them that if they wished to become privy to that information, they could inquire from Corey Faulkland and Charlie Jones on such things and leave it at that. However, it did not do any harm at all to stand guard over the giant mound of pillows and seat cushions stationed in the middle of her classroom.
As per usual, all of the desks and chairs had been removed from the classroom. And all that had been left in their wake was that giant mound of pillows. There were fluffy ones, and frilled ones, plain ones, and plushy ones. And the seat cushions were just as varied. Some of them looked like they had been taken from a grandmother's home, others uncannily like those in the staff lounge, and those blue and bronze ones... it seemed as if the Ravenclaw Common Room had been deprived of their usually seating arrangements for the day. But it did make for a very fine collection.
This had to be, by far, the strangest set up the fifth years had seen thus far. It seemed to be the perfect way to start off their stretch towards their O.W.Ls.
And the Professor was not going to explain any of it until class actually started. She simply stood there, hands connected behind her back, feet slightly apart like a security guard standing over their bounty. It was truly a rigorous stance, and made her seem stronger than she usually was. Muscle memory from her auror days? Most likely.

Sean yawning on the way to the classroom. He was up all night just thinking and daydreaming. Or really he just couldn't sleep. The massive time he was awake really hurt his energy. He walked into the classroom. As before, there was no desks or chairs. But what came to his eyesight was he saw pillows. He smiled and in shock. He looked at the Professor and smiled.
"Good day, Professor Raynor. Uh, are we having a, uh, pillow fight?" he asked. He really didn't know what to expect in this class today. Hopefully Professor Raynor could explain that to everyone when they came in here.

Anna was a bit enthusiastic about defense against the dark arts class so for once she wasn't staggering to class. However once the gryffie set foot in the classroom her curiosity kicked in at the sight of a mountian of...pillows? "Wicked! We're going to have a pillow fight?" Anna exclaimed, he eyes wide with surprise. Now that would be an awsome class, but it was obvious that it wasn't the case. "So we are going to learn how to protect ourselves with pillows?"

Celina left the library preparing for her defence against the dark arts class. The books Raynor had assigned them were as awesome as ever and were now put away safetly in her bag only to be brought out later when she would yet again return to her rightful place; the library. Celina thought about the library some as she turned a corner and made her way to the end of her journey. Eversince Emerald had become infatuated with Juni, she hadn't thrown as big of fits when Celina left for the library and/or classes, which was great because other than the dorms, Emerald was not allowed anywhere.
As she entered the defence against the dark arts classroom, she almost unknowingly turned around, afraid that she had walked into the house elves storage place for extra bedding supplies. That was until she saw her professor standing guard in front of the mound that was piled higher than she stood. Oh, no Celina started to dread what could be the reasoning for the pillows. She had heard Anna say somethng about a pillow fight in the hall and that was enough to make Celina's stomach turn.
"Hello, Professor," Celina said as she slightly nodded her head. She went to the other side of a Hufflepuff boy that she knew she should have known his name, but couldn't remember. She stood a few feet from him as not to crowd, and she hoped her herself that they were not really having a pillow fight.

Bouncing her way down the hall, as it really was the only term that even gave justice to how she made her way down the corridor, she practically jumped over students that were in her way. While it was a bit of an exaggeration, she did have to leap over feet that were not moving fast enough for her own liking. Skidding to a halt at the door she was sure was her Defense Against the Dark Arts class, she nearly squealed in delight at the sight before her very eyes. Of course, she recognized the professor as the same one who had sorted her before the feast that term, but she hadn't thought of her as being one to stand guard over a pile of softness. Had she not of been there, it would've been likely for Felicity to jump into the pile and just relax, then she understood why the woman was there. To stop anyone from doing that exact thing.
Restraining herself from the want, she glanced around the room to stake out who had already arrived. Immediately her eyes were drawn to the the Gryffindor girl she still didn't have a name for. After moving on, she saw the Ravenclaw girl again, but thought better than to attack her at the time. It wasn't that she wanted to give a wide berth to the girl, but more that she didn't want to be paired up with the girl if there was the chance of such happening as the results would most likely not be in her favor. Instead, she walked a bit further away from the three and leaned up against one of the walls. Yes it was out of character especially after her escapade through the hall, but perhaps it was best.

Rebecca walked into the classroom with a bat in her arms. She hated classes which makes one wonder wh she even bothers coming to Hogwarts. Rebecca had her own secret reasons.
Rebecca looked at the mountain of pillows. She thought about how fun it would be to jump into it. Rebecca stood in the middle of the room staring at the mountain.

Stepping into the classroom with a large smile on her face, was Ash Xin. Well, that is until she remembered she had stepped into DADA, her least favorite subject. It had always been a challenge for her to perform spells correctly and they usually ended up exploding things, or turning things purple, or giving things pimples; it wasn't her strong point.
Although, non-the-less, she was energetic today- not yawning, moaning, or whatever people usually did when they came to class. Ash smiled at Tamis Raynor, though the woman did send chills up her spine, and set her books down on a large heart shaped pillow, next to Celina. That wasn't an easy move T_T;
"I hope you're okay from the other day; I wasn't mad at you at all and I guess I just had to start a scene again." she whispered to the other Ravenclaw, her cheeks heating up.

Celina looked at the other Ravenclaw, astonished that not only did she stand next next to her but she was apologizing. A smile crossed Celina's face and she responded back to Ash, "There's no need for an apology." Celina's face growing pink just as the remembrance of the other night and everything that had happened. She wished all the events would just disappear from everyone's memories. "It wasn't your fault," she said softly as not to alarm Professor Raynor that anything at all had happened in the Ravenclaw House.

Ash shook her head, of course it was her fault. Wait, but it was also Jack's fault so it wasn't completely her fault. The thought made Ash a bit less guilt filled. She smiled to Celina and her eyes widened slightly. "Make amends?" She just wanted to be sure they both had put the past aside. Perhaps she could make another friend? That'd be nice considering she had already made enough enemies for the year.
The Ravenclaw hadn't exactly gotten along with everyone that came her way and lately, she had began to realize why the kids in her past had hated her so much. Maybe she deserved it?

Jack walked into the DADA classroom smiling it was his favorite class to go to. Looking around he noticed Raynor looking quite a bit like a security guard. Smiling to himself he couldn't help but think that she was afraid they were going to start a pillow fight or something. Didn't she trust them at all. Okay maybe he wouldn't either, because it was most likely that he would have grabbed a pillow and chucked it in Verina's direction when she arrived.
Walking further in he set his bag down on the ground next to the back wall. Standing there he leaned up against it and waited for class to start.

Upon entering the classroom Nick's eyes had quickly landed upon the huge pill of pillows stationed in the center of the room. He couldn't help but measure his odds about whether he could snatch a pillow and chuck it at someone all in good fun of course before he could be stopped or caught. Releasing a slight sigh he decided at least for the moment to just let that particular thought slide as he spotted Jack already in the classroom.
It seemed whenever he saw the boy he couldn't help giving him a hard time about something or other. "So Jack... good break?" Nico asked with a slight smile as he approached him. "My day did get a whole lot better when i cornered i mean ran into Verina in the hallways to our dorms earlier." He always seemed to be yanking Jack's chain but he also knew he didn't mean anything by it which was probably why they talked.

"Yea, truce," Celina said smiling and giggling. It was funny how things worked out. It looked as if she had her first friend...or at least that's the way she was going to take it for now. Just because they were friends, Celina knew that it was more in the "still-getting-to-know-you" stages. But even Hiro had told her that this was the way things worked out. Celina smiled at the thought of the older Ravenclaw boy, he was so nice to her that night. She lost her smile though at her next thought, which lead her back to thinking of Drew. She really didn't know what she could do to make it up to him, she never really did apologize and since then, they really hadn't talked.
Shaking the thought out of her head she had a great idea. "So, I was wondering..." she trailed off to a whisper. "Did you want to eat lunch with me today?"
Celina smiled and hoped that she wasn't being stupid by asking the other Ravenclaw if she wanted to eat with her later in the day.

Rebecca sat down on the floor. She let go of the bat and it flew out of the classroom. She didn't find it wise to let a bat fly around in a defense against dark arts classroom. DADA they called it. Remembering something from muggle school Rebecca giggled at her own private joke.

Felicity's eyes traveled over each student as they entered, some she recognized, others she didn't. However, her eyes became much more amused with another thing in the room as Rebecca released a bat. Watching the creature move about above their heads and sweeping out, she giggled slightly. It wasn't every day she saw a bat being released from a person's hands and it was a bit interesting. Perhaps she wasn't the only one who was to have an odd pet. At least, she would have one if she could ever properly get ahold of the furry animal.

Verina spotted the pile of pillows with amused interest before spotting Jack and one of her recent friends standing against the wall toward the back. By Nick's voice as she neared them and Jack's expression she could tell that Nick was once more up to no good. It seemed like the boy would never get it but then again it seemed Jack and him had developed some kind of friendship in the process.
"Now please tell me your behaving yourself?" she said with a wry smile as she came up to the boys, question directed at Nico. She then gave Jack a warm smile of greeting.
