Well, Drew hadn't expected anyone to bleed in class and he couldn't help but wonder what Raynor would say about that. "You okay?" he asked the girl, looking worriedly at her arm. maybe he should have just told them the spell instead of letting the Little Huffle try to use brute strength.

"Yea im fine, but ill pop into the hospital wing." She gave him a bigger grin and finally said "It wasnt your fault anyway, its the creatures nature. Ill be fine dont worry about it Drew, it was kinda thrilling really" and Matty wasnt just saying that to comfort him either. But just before she left to go to the hospital wing she looked back at Drew, his face was a bit anxious, he looked up and she said "Drew dont worry, really ill be fine just keep taeching and ill get the spell off you later." And with that Matty trotted off to the hospital wing. As she left the classroom she felt exitment flow through her.
--- Matty left the class ---

Jynx sat in the back of the room listening to what was going on in the class and to the information that Drew was giving on Grindylows. He found these creatures quite facinating to watch and learn about. He was glad to see that Drew had picked someone else to come down and demostrate how tough the Grindylows were. He watched in amazement as the little creature in the tank put up a pretty good fight.

Drew nervously ran his fingers through his hair as he watched the Huffle girl go. He was dead. Plain and simple he was dead. Raynor had trusted him to give the information and what did he do? He had to go and make one of them bleed. He had now idea Grindylows were capable of that. He had been messing with them for years in the lake and then again now right before class and had never once bled from the creature.
"Maybe we should just work on releasing spells," he said weakly, still imagining what Raynor would do to him. Maybe she had mellowed out a little bit from the baby?
Fat chance.

She had actually been considering volunteering before she caught sight of the creature again. She would pass, for now. She watched as the Wentworth girl volunteered and came pratically bouncing down to the front. Way too eager...and apparently way too brave for her own good for a moemny later she was bleeding from the hand and leaving the room. Oh no, definitely not volunteering now.
Drew moved on to mentioning something about spells, the mentioning of such made her visibly flinch for a moment. She could still see a bit of the blood up on the tank (its what she gets for taking a close seat) ok, she definitely wouldn't be taking Magical Creatures next year. Nope. "Erm...spells?" She questioned warily as her mind darted back to the fact that she had no real wand. She had Ashford's...in another class where she wasn't sure how it would perform.

"Spells," Drew echoed, with another run of his fingers through his hair which was now sticking up on end. With Matty injured, he had lost his train of though and couldn't even focus on what kind of spell he needed to show them, much less the incantation. "It's a grindylow... and he grabs you... and it's in his nature... does that really make him bad... and you have to get free..."
Great. Now what?

Jynx watched as Matty walked out of the class bleeding. He had no idea that Grindylows could be that dangerous. He listened intently to what Drew was trying to say about releasing spells but it seemed that he had lost his train of tought and was now rambling on trying to regain it. Jynx raised his hand and said , "I think that you were going to show us how to do a releasing spell." trying to remind Drew where he had left off.

Abigail was on the same page as Lianna. She grimaced as her eyes followed the bleeding slice on the girl's wrist. After watching her leave the room, the Huffle returned her attention to Drew with a crooked frown on her face. "Releasing spells, that sounds good to me," she chimed in her opinion with a wary glance at the grindylow and her voice sounding a little rushed, almost nervous-like. Abby took her wand in her hand and gave it a one-over check before looking back at her temporary professor. She definately didn't want him to get in trouble with Raynor, especially after the girl left without permission from Drew in the first place, and the teen's voice and rambling left Abigail with the conclusion that that was what he was thinking of. Besides, no one was going to make her physically touch that...thing...in the water now.

"Okay... so Relashio," Drew continued, now just wishing the class would be over. "Relashio... it's easy enough to do but strong enough to break a Grindylow's grip. The important thing is... is not to panic." He rubbed his head again, more worried about Matty than dark creatures. "Okay, so you point your wand at its fingers and just cast the spell."
He debated putting is arm back into the tank but finally did, allowing the creature to clamp on and try to pull him. Matty's injury was the first he had ever heard of a Grindylow drawing blood and a few scratches never bothered him that much. Besides, he really had to get through this or else Raynor woulod REALLY be mad.
With the beastie yanking on his arm, Drew stuck his wand into the tank. "Relashio!" he said, causing a stream of sparks to fill the tank. The grindylow, meanwhile got pushed to the far end of the tank and Drew pulled out his arm, showing the class that he was unharmed.
"That's it... unless one of you want to try?" he asked, doubting they would be jumping at the chance.

Jynx watched as Drew stuck his hand back into the grindylows tank. He wasn't that afraid of the little grindylow and was quite keen on seeing how Relashio worked against it. He thought that he would be able to preform that spell, but wasn't sure that he wanted to do it in front of everyone. It wasn't that he was afraid of the grindylow he just didn't want the spell to go ary and not work infront of the entire class. He started to pack up his things and waited to see if anyone else would try it. If someone else went up there then maybe he would go and give it a try, but he doubted anyone would.
