Not sure whether to be excited or disappointed she put away her supplies and gave her attention to the professor. This would certainly be a change from her last class. Not sure of the first question regarding the years she waited for the next one. Hopefully the homework in this class wouldn't be too strenuous.

Anna put all of her books and stuff away and just took out her wand. "Well, at least I won't have to worry about this class to much." she thought. Strange enough, she actually felt excited about this class. After she put her stuff away, she sat there waiting to start the lesson.

"Very good, each of you, very close to the actual answer. Five points to both your houses, you remembered your introduction Defense lesson well. As we all should know by now, the Dark Arts is not something physical. It is not an object or a classification, but rather an intent. The intent to harm another without your own survival or safety on the line. Thus, a dark creature, in turn, is a creature that feeds of hurts others for pure pleasure rather than need."
The professor lifted the covers on the first tank, which was full of what looked to be water and underground plant life taken right from the swamp and occasionally the plants within it rustled, even though the water itself held no current. What she wanted them to see just yet, however, she did not say.
"However, some dark creatures are determined as such, even though they do attack for their own survival. Why, then, do we call them such?"

Anna raised her hand. "Because even though they attack for their own survival, they also attack for pleasure sometimes rather than need." she felt that she had the right idea for the answer but she still waited for the prof. to say something about it.

Carina in the back of the room was simply playing in the back of the room with a wand. She didn't find the theory behind the spells interesting at all, and she was dozing off instead of listening to the teacher's words. Her chocolate brown eyes looked up at the ceiling instead of at the teacher, and she was obviously not paying attention.
