Glancing back down at the paper in her hand, Arianna let out a sigh. Yup. That was book alright. And just her luck, it had be a shelf above the one she could barely reach. Goodness. Who ever thought it was smart to make the bookshelfs ten feet high and actually place ANYTHING on the top shelf? It was insane.
"How rude," Arianna muttered to herself. She took a step back and eyed the book just out of reach. "No respect for the little people."

"Of course not," Drew answered, peeking around the corner at the familiar voice. The wide grin on his face said he was kidding. "You need some help reaching something?" She was eyeing one of the books on the shelf and he figured he could postpone his nap to help her out.

"Yeah," Arianna replied, nodding sheepishly. She had probably just been saved from trying to climb the bookshelf and getting what she needed by herself. Probably not the best of ideas, but the girl wasn't fond of asking the man behind the counter for any help.
"It's the big blue one," she explained, pointing to a tall book with Asiatic Anti-Venoms embossed across it's spine in silver.

"This one?" Drew asked, pulling the book without even stretching to reach it. He handed it to her with a crooked smile. "What are you working on?" he asked, noticing the title on the cover.

"Thank you," Arianna took the book and headed back to where she had left her bag and a small stack of books at the end of the aisle
"It's for homework," she answered, tucking the book awkwardly under her arm so she gather up her things. "It's not due for a while, but I thought I'd finish it now before the books I need are all checked out. What've you been up to?"

Drew shrugged back, indicating that he had been up to nothing worth mentioning. "I was just heading over to take a nap before astronomy," he told her, crooking his thumb over his shoulder to indicate his favorite spot on the sofa in the back of the library.

"Mmm. A nap sounds really good right now," Arianna murmured longingly. She had just caught up on the HoM assignment she had received from missing the first day of class and currently had been working on other missed assignments. The potions homework she had decided to work on now was actually a break. Since it wasn't due for a while, it would be easier to concentrate, knowing she'd be done well before the deadline. To say the least, Arianna had kept herself too busy to even think of a nap until Drew had brought it up.

"You aren't going to take my spot are you?" Drew asked worriedly, knowing she liked that particular sofa as well. Of course, he had found it first and so technically he had dibs, but if she snagged it, he wasn't going to fight her for it.

"Well, that was my first choice, but if you want it..." Arianna shrugged, nearly dropping her books, but stopping them just in time. She stepped around the bookshelf and peered toward the back of the library where the good couch sat just out her sight. "I can find somewhere else to sit. Besides, you need the room more than I do."

"Okay, thanks," Drew answered with a smile, happy at the offer... or rather the concession of the coveted sofa. He just couldn't sleep anywhere else mid-day.
The common room was obviously out...

"You don't mind if I come and sit by you, do you?" Arianna asked carefully, turing to Drew with a small smile. "In one of the other chairs, of course." She added the last bit for reassurance that the Hospital Wing incident wouldn't be happening again.

"Okay... I guess... sure... If you want..." Drew answered, shrugging nervously at the knowledge that she was alludiong to the whole thing that happened at the nurse's. Of course, taking a nap in the middle of the afternoon in the library was different than sleeping overnight in the Hospital wing, but he didn't want to point that out to her.

"Thanks," Arianna smiled and headed to the back of the library, pretending she hadn't noticed Drew's nervousness. What did he have to be nervous about anyway? They in the libary in the middle of the day. He would be napping and she would be working. Nothing to worry about.
Finding a chair facing Drew's couch, but with a table between them, Arianna dropped her bag on the floor and sat down. She could sit closer, she supposed. There was another chair right next to the couch. In fact, that very chair was more comfortable than the one she was sitting in, but she didn't want to push it.

Drew watched her as she settled into her chair and started reading. He was about to make himself comfortable on the sofa, but nothing seemed to work. After minutes of tossing and turning, he finally sat up and frowned at her. "I can't sleep with you right there," he complained. It looked like he'd be going without his afternoon nap after all.

"Why not?" Arianna asked, looking up from her book. She had a slight frown across her face. It hadn't bothered him before to have someone sit nearby as he napped. Of course, maybe that was because everyone steered clear of this immediate area when Drew was stretched out on the couch and sat across the way instead. "I'll be quite. I promise."
