Drew wasn't sure why she made that face. He had been sure that girls got a kick out of discussing their feelings and stuff. Jeremy might not like it much, but he thought it might make Hannah feel better about things.
Either way, Drew had discovered that talking about stuff actually helped and if Hannah wanted it fixed, Jeremy had to know about it. "You want me to talk to him?" Drew offered, not really confident he could solve the problem but willing to give it a go.

"No!" Hannah practically yelled, before remembering where she was and lowering her voice to a more better range of tone for being in a library. Having Drew speak to his cousin would make things even worse, Jeremy would sure know then that she had been speaking to Drew and she had a feeling that once he knew that, he might not trust her again.
"I mean, no, I don't want you to talk to him, not just yet" Hannah explained to Drew, figuring she better explain for her nearly shouting at him. "I should probably talk to him about it first. It's just, I just have to find the right time, that's all" That was all she had to do, find a right time to mention why she was avoiding him in classes, still, she could see that certain conversation turning into a fight.

Drew jumped at her protest, but smiled, hopefully letting her know that he wouldn't speak to Jeremy about it nor would he be busting her for yelling in the library. "I won't talk to him about it... yet," he told her, emphasising the last word to make it clear that he had heard her say it. He wasn't sure about finding the right time for her to talk to him though. Finding a good time usually meant it never got done.
"Just talk to him," Drew suggested with a small shrug. "He's always hanging around the common room so just tell him the next time you see him."

Hannah was thankful that Drew didn't get up her for yelling in the library, also thankful that he wouldn't be telling Jeremy anytime soon about her not wanting him to get into trouble. The older Prefect really wasn't that bad after all, Hannah had decided. Sure, Drew got cranky when she did something she shouldn't have done, but she supposed she could forgive him for that, she would've probably got cranky too.
"You think that would work, though?" Hannah asked Drew, crinkling her nose a bit at the idea. While it was a good idea, it was a bad idea as well, Hannah could see that particular conversation turning into a fight and she could see it being just the slightest of an awkward conversation as well. "It's just, it would be kind of awkward telling him that I don't want him to get into trouble" Hannah shrugged back at Drew, a faint start of a blush creeping onto her pale cheeks. Seriously, that would mean telling Jeremy how she felt about him and Hannah really wasn't sure she could tell him that.

The question was a tough one and no, Drew wasn't sure it would help. There was a possibility that it would make things worse like the little girl feared. But Drew was pretty sure it was a small possibility.
"Actually, I think he'll probably appreciate it," he told her knowing that he wouldn't mind if someone was trying to keep him out of trouble. Then again, he'd probably appreciate it since no one had ever done it for him before. "I mean, you'd like it if someone was looking out for you, right?"

Hannah shook her head. All of her twelve years of life she had someone looking out for her and while she loved both sets of parents, especially her Dad, sometimes she just felt a little too much overprotected. "I'd rather look after myself, it's much less trouble" It was one of the reasons why she loved being at Hogwarts, so much. For the first time in her short life, she had some sort of independence and she was relishing every moment of it.
"Because, what if that someone who looked out for me, looked out for me too much and got themselves into trouble for something I did in the first place?" Hannah asked Drew feeling the blush going away. The Ravenclaw wouldn't be able to forgive herself if anything like that happened. The first year was back to square one again and had came back full circle to what really was worrying her. Hannah was beginning to think that maybe talking to Jeremy wouldn't be such a bad idea, at least it would make her feel less confused in the end.

"Well, yeah, it's less trouble, but it sure makes life boring," Drew told her. Yeah, they all wanted independence to some degree, but it was also nice having people around who had your back. "I mean, isn't that part of what friends do for each other, watch out for one another?"
"And that's part of it all, you know?" Drew continued, wondering if Hannah was thinking about the failed attempt to break into the boys dorm. Drew had known Jeremy probably hadn't been guilty in the matter. Drew had busted him anyway for a number of reasons, none of which had to do with the guilt of the Littledude. "Friends stick together, work together through the good stuff and the bad stuff. It makes the bad stuff easier to get through and the good stuff more fun."

Drew was right. Except for the part about her life being boring. However much she did try and stay out of trouble, there always had been someone there looking out for her, even though Hannah probably didn't realize it at the time. "You're right... that's what friends are for... I think I probably just made things worse by avoiding Jeremy" It was more of a definitely then a probably, though. Hannah was sure Jeremy was mad at her for not sitting next to him in classes.
"How do you keep your friends from not getting into trouble?" Hannah asked Drew, it was another thing that had been gnawing at her. If she was to do anything that could get her into trouble or if she found herself somehow in trouble, how could she keep those that she considered friends out of trouble if they happened to be there? "I mean, if to say, I found myself in trouble and my friends were there and they had nothing to do with it, how do I keep them out of that trouble?"
Hannah was beginning to realize that maybe she had over estimated Drew, as well. While at the start she thought he was a big meanie, he really wasn't, Hannah figured that Drew was just doing his job. After getting to know him a little bit, Hannah found that Drew really wasn't that bad, after all. The boy reminded her of a big teddy bear with overly large front paws. Though, she should've figured that out at the start, Hiro was just as nice and while Drew reminded her of a bear, Hiro still reminded her of a super hero.

"You're asking the wrong guy that one," Drew answered her grimly. He had had his own share of trouble and had quite often dragged a few of his friends down with him. It all evened out though. He had been busted because of them too.
"I mean, you can do your best to plead their case, but in the end, it depends on the person doing the busting," he told her. "And most of the time, the professors follow the guilty by association rule."

"And prefects do that too" Hannah smirked at Drew. Yes, the Ravenclaw was referring to that time she had sneaked into the boys dorm. "But I know you were just doing your job" Hannah added, just so Drew knew that she wasn't mad over the whole thing and yes, she knew she had been in the wrong trying to get into the boys dorm. The young was just so in awe of those traps, that she just wanted to see how they worked.
"How did you get those traps to work? I mean, that was some neat handy work" Hannah asked. The girl had been meaning to ask Drew that ever since she had gotten into the boys dorm and got covered in the blue paint and feathers. Only thing was, Hannah wasn't sure where they had came from and she hadn't yet tried to get into the boys dorm a second time to actually find out where Drew had hid them.

"Yeah, I suppose we do... or at least I do," Drew answered, not bothering to tell her that he would have probably gone easy if it had been Hannah in the wrong place at the wrong time. And he was pretty sure Hiro would have gone a lot easier on all of them.
"Magic..." he answered mysteriously, the look in his eye telling that he was teasing her. Of course it was magic, but for Muggles it also tended to be code for I'm not telling you.
He had no problem sharing some of the techniques they had used that time, but before he told Hannah anything he wanted to make sure that she knew she wasn't getting away with anything by knowing them. "You do know we've changed them, right?" he asked her with a smirk.

How could she not know that they would change the traps? The note that was stuck on the door leading into the boys dorm (the one that Hannah clearly decided not to read when she had gotten into the boys dorm the first time) and the one that she decided to read after the above mentioned had happened, stated that the traps were subject to change.
"Yeah, I figured that you would change them once someone tried to get into the room" Hannah shrugged, a small pout forming on her lips. Now, she had to start from scratch again and think up another way to get inside the boys dorm to find out where the traps were hidden... then again, she'd supposed she might be able to get Jeremy to let her into the boys dorm.

"I can show you how to set stuff like that up, but I can't show you how to disarm them," Drew offered, figuring that as long as he wasn't giving her any specifics as to what they were using at the moment, or how to get past them, he wasn't breaking his own rules.
There was no rule about girls being in the boys room, the rules were all about keeping the girls out when they weren't invited.

At Drew's offer of showing her how to set things like the traps up, Hannah nearly fell off her chair again, not really sure if she had heard right. That would be just great if her prefect would show her how do that, Hannah had always wondered how they did get there in the first place, just as much as she always wondered how you set them off.
Straightening herself up in the chair once more, she eyed Drew warily, not sure to really believe that he did offer to show her how to set things up like the traps he had in the boys dorm. "You would show me how to do that? That would be great if you could. Just imagine what I-- " Hannah stopped and looked over at Drew, showing a perfect face of innocence. "I could do to help other people with, knowing how to set traps up like you have in the boys dorm" The young girl ended, giving him one of her magical smiles that she only offered to Jeremy and older people.
Hannah didn't really care that he wasn't going to show her how to disarm them, figuring that she would probably figure out how to do that once she knew how to set the traps up.

Of course, Drwe would never have offered to show her anything if there was a chance she could actually disarm them. The offer seemed to pacify her and he laughed at her awkward attempt to cover up her mischevious side.
"Help other people... right," Drew grinned back, not exactly sure how paintbombing othe people was helping them.
