"Uh huh, uh huh" Hannah nodded, wondering if she needed to explain to Drew how knowing how to set up traps would help her and other people. Select other people. Okay, maybe one select other Ravenclaw boy, but that was still helping a person and she had to always finish what she had started, but she was hoping the 'right' Drew had said meant that he had all ready figured her out.
Well, she hoped, but she still had to continue with her explanation. "Yeah, help people. Because then, if I knew about how to set the traps up, I could help somebody know what to watch out for and things" Hannah stopped, looking up at Drew curiously. There had to be some sort of catch why he had decided to offer her how to set up the traps, or well, Hannah thought that there had to be some sort of catch.
"I'm allowed to tel-- well, to help other peop-- no, to help another person know about the traps, aren't I?" Hannah finally managed to ask in a roundabout way. The young girl thought she better ask that question before she got too far ahead of herself in all the new scheming and planning she had all ready started to plot out in her head.

She looked so eager, that Drew hated to point out the misunderstanding. She obviously thought he was going to show her about the traps they currently were using.
"You can tell anyone. It's not a secret we have the traps," he told her, trying his best to break it to her gently. "Hannah, but it's not going to help you get past what we have now. I said I could help you with stuff like what we have, I meant like the stuff we used to use."

Yes, she got that. Hannah realized that Drew wouldn't be showing her stuff from the things that they had now as the current traps in the boys bedroom, she would be a fool to totally miss that point. "I know" Hannah told Drew, rolling her eyes up at the prefect just a little, wondering why he thought that she didn't realize that he wouldn't actually show her a way past the traps they had now.
"I never said I wanted to get past those traps again, anyhow. I said I wanted to know how to set the traps up, not get past them again. Never once did I say I wanted to get past the current traps you have up in the boys room" Maybe thought of it, but not said it. Two completely different things. 'Sides, even if she couldn't get into the boys room by her own, Hannah still thought Jeremy would let her in there.
Hannah continued to look up at the older boy, a slight frown coming upon her face. "So... are you going to show me how to set up traps like you had used in the past or not?" Hannah ventured, emphasizing those four words to tell Drew that she had understood what he had meant. It really didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that the boy was not going to show her how to actually get pass the traps set up in the boys room, Hannah thought that that would probably break a rule or something.

"Okay, just checking," Drew answered defensively and put his hands up in mock surrender. He thought she was pretty cute when she got all defensive on him like that and he could see why Jeremy liked her so much. "You were just talking about helping people with the traps and stuff, so I wasn't sure. Everyone... well, all the Ravenclaws... even Raynor, knows about them, or at least they all should. We're not actually trying to trick anyone. We're just trying to keep unwanted visitors out is all."
"But yeah, I'll show you how to set stuff like that up," he told her. "Some of it's pretty advanced though." He said this with a slight smirk. The way his younger cousin spoke of the girl, she sounded like... well, like the next Allegra Thornton.

"Yeah, I was" Okay, Hannah was stuck now. The Ravenclaw had said she wanted to help people know what to look out for with those traps, but that was just a ruse. "Helping some people know about them for when I set up traps of my own" There, she may as well come out and tell Drew, it wasn't like any kind of big secret, anyhow. Hannah just didn't want to tell her prefect in the first place in case he said no to showing her.
Yes, even Hannah realized that everyone knew about the traps and that they were put into place for a reason, the girl had learned that lesson the hard way. If Drew showed her how to set up traps like that for her own amusement, it would make the terribly sucky day she had much more better.
Another magical smile could be seen making it's way onto the young girl's face. Advanced? "You mean, I get to to learn advanced magic as well?" Hannah asked, her eyes lightening up at this. The girl loved learning advanced magic, though it sometimes sucked to know some of the magic all ready when it came to classes. Still, learning any kind of advanced magic was still a good thing in the Hannah eyes.

"Sure, you can tell whoever you want about them I guess," Drew answered with a shrug and a wide grin. He was willing to show Hannah some good stuff, but the best stuff was still top secret. It was okay if she wanted to share what he told her.
"You think you could handle it?" he asked with a smirk, showing that he was pretty confident she could. Even if she couldn't, she was a spunky little bird and would probably stick with it until she did get it.

Handle it? Who did Drew think he was talking too? Hannah wasn't scared of anything, much less scared of advanced magic, of course she could handle anything that he threw at her. Rolling her eyes again at the older boy, she nodded up at him. All ready Hannah could tell that this was going to be fun, learning new magic and setting up traps all at the same time, imagine what she could do after she had learned them both.
"What's the catch?" Hannah asked, there must be some reason why Drew was willing to teach her. The girl didn't think that he would just give up some secrets of the past used traps to her if there wasn't some reason why he wanted her to know. If Drew were to show someone about those traps, she figured he would show Jeremy before he would show her.

Drew hadn't really thought of a catch, but when Hannah asked, he realized there had been an underlying cause for him being willing to show the little Ravengirl the tricks.
"You wait until your invited before going into the boy's room next time?" he suggested. Sure, a big part of him wanted to show her just because he knew she'd like it and he knew she'd be good at it, but yes, that was the underlying part of the deal. It was really a matter of trust.

"Okay" Hannah shrugged, though, that still didn't seem like a catch to her, that was more of a question, no, not more of a question, more of a statement. No, it was even more of a statement, it was more Drew just telling her not to go to into the boys dorm until she was invited to come in. Though, Hannah had some plans of going back into the boys dorm, it wasn't in the near future and once Drew showed her how they had set up traps in the past, she would be more engrossed in her plans to set up traps of her own, the boys room would probably be the last thing on her mind.
"What kind of things will you be teaching me?" Hannah asked, figuring that she couldn't really start any plans of her own until Drew did really start to teach her. Hannah also figured that she could live with that catch for the meantime so she could learn some totally cool magic. The Ravenclaw had no intention for the meantime of getting covered in paint and feathers again, it took nearly a week to get that blue paint off.

Drew shrugged, adding a smile, glad Hannah seemed to understand the arrangement. "Depends what you want to know," he told her, lowering his voice and appearing casual to any outside observer. "We could start with slimes and sticking charms, move on to explosions and things."
He really had no problem showing her a few of his tricks. He had always thought he'd be passinghis knowledge down to a Littledude as it had been passed to him by an older boy. The idea of passing it onto a girl was kind of neat.

Hannah's eyes widen again for what would've been a millionth time since she had stomped into the library from the bad day she was having. The young girl's ears were clearly deceiving her again as well, Drew was asking her what she wanted to know and learn about? Unbeknowest to the Prefect, he had probably just opened a can of wonder, there was a lot of stuff she really wanted to learn, it was just choosing what stuff would be useful to learn to start off with.
"Sticking charms and slimes with special powers would be good to know about" Hannah agreed, giving a smile back to Drew. The Ravenclaw was especially thinking about the slime she had in her bag down in the common room that she had 'borrowed' from her sisters, figuring they wouldn't miss it, the twins had other, better joke stuff to play around with.
"Can you teach me some spells, as well?" Hannah asked Drew, there were a lot of spells that she wanted to learn, had read about it, but they were meant for older students and so far she had mastered a few of the spells that were meant for fifth years, but that was about it. "There's a spell called Diffindo which would be really useful to learn and Incendio is another one that would be really useful too" Hannah explained to Drew, looking up at him expectantly, keeping her own voice to almost a whisper, as well.
Diffindo and Incendio were two spells that she had read about it but hadn't really had a chance to try out, yet. The latter of the one would be highly useful while trying to perfect traps, especially if somehow she got herself caught up in one as well. "It would be awesome to learn how to hide traps out of sight as well" Hannah finished off, how they had hid the traps in the boys dorm without anyone finding them in the first place, the young girl still couldn't quite work that one out... then again, she probably wasn't supposed to.

Drew had a feeling he might peak her interest with the mention of slimes. When she had gotten caught in the boy's traps, she had seemed more indignant over the fact that she had been banned from the dorm and less over the paint job she had gotten.
"I can show you if you want," Drew answered her with a smirk, "Diffindo and some of the better concealing charms too, but exactly what do you plan on doing with Incendio?" He'd still show her, but he found it curious that she specifically asked about a charm to start fires.

Hannah wasn't exactly going to tell Drew what she planned on doing with Incendio, for she didn't know herself yet, she just thought it would be a useful spell to learn. "When I read the definition of the spell, I just thought it would be a useful tool to use as a diversion and in case I get trapped in a trap that I can't get out from" The last explanation was her main reason for wanting to learn that spell. If she got caught up in a trap and if everything else failed, if it was safe for her to perform, that spell would definitely come in handy.
"Only if it was safe to do so, that is" Only if Hannah could perfect the spell, as well. It was one thing to actually say that that's what maybe she would use that fire spell for, but as stated, she had only read the definition of it and hadn't tried it. The young girl had been too busy in finding a fairy to keep as her own and exploring all of Hogwarts as well to try any new spells, lately. Studying what she had learned from her classes sometimes got in her way of learning difficult spells, too. Though, the first year spells and charms she had learned, she had picked up pretty quickly, but it didn't hurt that she all ready knew some of them from watching her Dad teach them to his students.

Using Incendio as a diversion... that made Drew smirk a little, thinking how Raynor had forgiven him for burning down the greenhouses the previous year.
"Okay, then, Incendio and Diffindo," he agreed agreeing with her reasoning even if it had only been an excuse to get him to teach her.
"But if you're trapped... especially in a trap you can't get out of... they might take your wand, you know," he told her, slipping the small tease through. "You any good at potions?" His makeshift bomb hadn't worked as well as he had hoped that evening last year, but that didn't mean it wasn't a good idea.
