She had done what she could down on the field, but Arianna now hurried into the Hospital Wing, carefully levitating Krissy behind her. Krissy might kill her for bringing the Huffle in like this, but Arianna had seen no other way. Her make-shift splint could only keep Krissy's wrist from getting any worse and the cloth pressed against her forehead wasn't stopping the bleeded as well as Arianna had hoped. All she could do now was let the nurse do what she could.
Carefully easing Krissy onto the bed, Arianna hurried off to the back of the Wing, calling out for the nurse.

THe injuries Krissy had sustained were worse than what she normally came out of quidditch with, infact they were so bad that for one of the first times imajinable she wasn't even aware of them. She had been, of course, aware of the wrist, that was until the bat had clocked her neatly upon the head. That kinda left her with the unknowing of what was happening or going on around her. Infact, she was knocked out and completely unconscious.
It was due to this simple fact that she knew not of the nurse who bustled in as Ari ran around calling for her. The nurse of course did not seem very impressed about the condition of the girl whom she knew not and muttered quite clearly that quidditch was a very dangerous game and that she really wasn't exactely sure why the school still allowed it. But either way that did not stop her from getting to work.
The nurse busteled over to the cabnet beside the bed which Krissy was laying upon and rusteled around in there until she found a bottle of some form of liquid. Grabbing a clean white cloth the nurse poured some of the liquid upon the cloth. "This should bring her too" she said softly to Arianna, deciding the girl was probably more than a tiny bit worried.
Taking the cloth the woman moved close to Krissy and placed the cloth over the girls nose and mouth for a second and then removed it. "Dear, can you hear me?" The nurse questioned, looking closely at Krissy.
Suddenly Krissy was aware once more of the seering pain withing her wrist and now a thumping within her head along with alot of pain originating from another part of her head. Wait, was that a voice. Krissy opened her eyes, her vision blurry and showing doubles of everything. Where was she? The last thing she could really remember was going to the game, wait the game. But where was she now? Hold on, someone was talking to her, thats right.
"Meerrrgghhhh" Krissy said trying to move both her arms to her thumping head. Of course the broken wrist didn't seem to like this and she allowed it to slam back down onto the bed and opted to only put one hand on her head.
"Now now dear, try not to move, just stay there" The nurse said to Krissy in a calming sort of voice.
Krissy opened her eyes once more trying to scan the room, which wasn't working to her advantage as her vision was completely blurry. Her eyes finally fell upon Ari, well 2 Ari's to be correct. "Ari..?" Krissy questioned, since when did Ari have a twin? "I'm oging to miss the game..." she said attempting to sit up from her bed.
The nurse placed a gentle but firm hand on Krissy's shoulder and pushed her back down "Can you keep her here please?" she said turning to Ari. It was at this moment thatshe turned and headed to the back of the hospital wing, clearly going to get something to help.
(With permission from Robert Shaw we are godmodding the nurse due to current circumstances)

Arianna nodded in reply to the nurse then turned back to Krissy, a grim smile on her face.
"You played most of it," she claimed, shrugging slightly. "But then Ty knocked you out real good." Arianna felt that boy needed to be taken care of...somehow. This was the second time he'd knocked someone out during a game, third time he'd smacked someone on the head. Arianna was certain he might kill someone if he wasn't careful.

Krissy didn't understand. Why owuldn't the woman let her play quidditch? And Ari, she said she had already played, was she lying to stop hufflepuff form beating slytherin so they didn't rival ravenclaw for the cup? No. Whatwas going on. "No Ari!" Krissy said, a slight note of panic in her voice "I haven't played... I'm going to miss it!"
The nurse by now had returned and was looking at Krissy "Miss how many fingers am I holding up?" she asked calmly, gently placing an icepack wraped in a cloth at the back of Krissy's head and applying pressure.
"There isn't no time for this!" Krissy declared to the nurse who for some reason also had a twin "I'm going to miss the game!" Krissy struggeled to try and get up once more but the nurse once again layed a hand against her, pushing her back against the bed. It realy didn't help Krissy in anyway with the fact that her wrist was clearly broken and she kept attepting to use it to get up and suddenly puling it back with a slight wimper.
The nurse shook her head. "She seems like shes got a concussion along with everything else" she said to Ari, keeping a watchful eye on Krissy as she did so. "I'll fix the wrist first.. While I do can you hold this against her head please?" The nurse offered the icepack, which showed already the fact that Krissy's head was still bleeding to Ari, although not moving it from being against Krissy's head.
It was at this momnt that the nurse pulled out her wand and pointed it at Krissy's injured wrist. Well concused or not concussed Krissywouldn't deal with someone pointing a wand at her. "No!" Krissy yeled suddenly jerking her injured arm away from the lady, of course causing herself much more pain in the process. Amazingly enough she was able to pull her wand out with her other arm though, pointing it at the nurse.

Arianna imediately stepped between Krissy and the nurse, arms up, her back to the Huffle for the moment. She knew what would happen if the nurse forced herself on Krissy. It would not be good at all.
"She doesn't like Healers much," she explained carefully. "I mean, nothing against you, but...You wouldn't happen to know any Muggle healing methods, would you? I can take care of the cut if you need me to, but I think her wrist might be broken and I don't know how to set bones and stuff."

The nurse had of course been extremely shocked by the sudden uproar from the injured girl and she definately wasn't too keen on having the girl point her wand at her. The other girl stepping in was quite a relief. She listened to the girl carefully before nodding slowly. "I know enough to manage"she said eyeing Krissy curiously. You came accross alot of different patients when you worked in the hospital but this was definately one of the strange cases you got. "I will need your help though" the nurse said to Ari with a soft smile.
Krissy on the other hand wasn't to keen on any of this anymore and, although she had lowered her wand, mainly because otherwise it would be pointing at Ari, she was still looking as though she was ready to curse someone. She was very thankful that her best friend was there though, although she also wasn't sure exactely what was going on or how she had gotten hurt. "Ari?" Krissy questioned her mind spinning.

Arianna nodded once to the nurse. She would do anything she could to help.
"It's okay, Krissy, " she assured the huffle, turning back to Krissy. The girl looked a mess, of course, and it seemed she must not understand what was going on. Arianna thought it might help Krissy to know why she was in the Hospital Wing and not out on the pitch. Surely she must be able to hear some of the cheering through the windows. "You got hit by a bludger and fell of your broom. I took care of the little cuts and stuff, but I had to bring you here because you'd lost consciousness."

"No. No. No." Krissy said looking at Ari confused "The game hasnt started" Blurry images were running through her mind but she couldn't make sence of them. Brooms, bludgers. She hadn't played had she? The stinging pain in her head didn't help her thinking. Nor the immense pain in her wrist. She bit her lip in a small attempt to keep her from crying from the pain.
As Ari explained the situation to Krissy the nurse hurried around getting things that she would need "Just hold that there ice pack on her head if you'd please" she called out to Arianna as she headed off to get some more stuff. She came back with a basin and some soapy water. She'd have to clean the wrist before putting a cast on. She wet a small towel and began to very gently run it along Krissy's arm. It was covered in dirt from hitting the quidditch pitch.

Arianna took the ice and held it lightly against Krissy's head. A frown crossed her lips and the girl spoke. If Krissy couldn't remember any of the last half hour, that meant she'd received a concussion. How bad it was, Arianna couldn't tell, but it certainly wasn't good.
"The game had only been going for....ten minutes, maybe," she spoke quietly, hoping the news wouldn't cause Krissy to freak out more than she already had.

Krissy looked at Ari a purely confused and bewildered expression on her face. Ari wouldn't lie...But.. she couldn't remember playing the game... And how did she get these injuries. She didn't remember that either. How could she get so darn injured and not know what was going on. How did she even get to the hospital wing? Krissy's eyes watwered over slightly as she looked at Ari, she was trying her hardest not to cry from the pain but now the confusion and errie feeling of not knowing what was going on was trying to force the tears out too. "Ari..." Krissy said looking at her friend, a worried expression on her face "..I.. i don't know whats going on..." It was obvious just from looking at her that she was begining to freak out.
The nurse stepped foreward towards Krissy "Now you just need to calm down please missy.." she said softly to her. It was at this moment that she pulled her wand out once more, knowing full well the girl would probably react worse but she needed to find out exactely which bone was broken. "I'm not going to heal anything, I'm just going to x-ray your arm..." she said softly to Krissy, not yet pointing her wand at the girls arm. "I need to to find out which bone is broken" The nurse slowly began to point the wand at Krissy's arm, amazingly enough Krissy stayed dead still, which was probably due to the fact she was terrified and scared about what was going on.

A look of concern crossed the Ravenclaw's face as she reached for Krissy's uninjured hand and gave it a small squeeze. She wasn't sure what else to do at this point, but to keep holding the ice against the Hufflepuff's head and try to keep her from going after the nurse.
"You'll be okay," she assured her friend, still holding onto Krissy's hand. Arianna just hoped the game would get over soon and that Pat might hustle up here. Having him there might help even more. Perhaps he could explain the events a bit better than the Ravenclaw could.

The nurse quickly worked out which bone was broken and had realigned it before Krissy could really know what was going on. The nurse had once again disappeared grabbing the bandages and plaster to bind the wrist. The bleeding to the head should have stopped by now, however if it hadnt it meant the girl would need stiches. Even still it was a good idea to leave it on there. It helped stop swelling.
Krissy however would have lvoed to jump up and run and hide somewhere and work out what was going on. She didn't like ot knowing what had happened. She was extremely glad Ari was there however, sometimes just having your best friend there could help, and in this case it definately was. The worried look on her face for the moment had died down and she had returned to keeping a wary eye upon the nurse whom she wasn't exactely sure if she trusted yet.
The nurse however was ready to place the cast upon the arm now. "Just keep that to her head dear" she said to Ari once more. "Your doing good" she gave Ari a soft smile and looked back to Krissy. "I'm just going to put a cast on you now okay?" she asked as she began to wrap the bandage around the arm swiftly and quite very efficiently.

Arianna smiled ever so slightly. It was nice to be complemented, but this really wasn't the situation she wanted to be in when it happened. All she really felt like doing was nodding at the nurse.
"How...how do casts work?" she found herself asking, though, as she watched the nurse do her work. Arianna had seen casts before; Drew had worn one after falling off a ladder. She, however, had never had one and had not seen how they were put together. Arianna found it a bit interesting, actually.

The nurse continued to wrap the bandage around the red haired girls wrist when she heard the other girls queston. "What happen's dearie" she said keeping her eyes on the girls wrist "Is you soak the bandage in plaster and wrap it around it sticks together and eventually hardens and makes a plaster around the broken bone, it keeps it in place until it heals, then we just cut it off and the wrist should be healed" The nurse continued to wrap the cast around Krissy's wrist, making sure she didn't make a mistake. She hadn't used muggle healing methods for a very long time.
Krissy was watching the nurse curiously, she hadn't had a cast before so it was a new thing to her too and had she not been the one getting it she probably would have asked the same question as Ari as she didn't know herself either. But her mind was still thinking that this was very painful and she was hoping she could go and sleep soon, sleep did seem very tempting.
(If I got something wrong about casts let me know and I'll mod, I googeled it a few days ago because I didn't know myself.. Lol )

{sounds about right. Though sometimes they just use plaster mold held in place by a bandage for the first 24 hrs until the swelling goes down. Least...that's what they did to mine ^^ }
Arianna observed the nurse's work very carefully. She thought maybe she should learn how to do it sometime. It didn't matter much in the wizard world, since magic could heal nearly anything, but Arianna had a feeling she'd end up helping out some muggles sometime in the future. Muggles who wouldn't feel too keen about a broken bone being mended in a matter of moments.
"You feeling okay, Krissy?" Arianna now asked the Huffle. Just from her own observations, Arianna was sure Krissy would be okay. Sleepiness was common with a head injury, but there was more concern when the injured was vomiting. Actually, as far as Arianna knew, it would be okay for Krissy to go to sleep if she felt she needed to. Someone would just have to watch her carefully, which Arianna was more than willing to do.
