Selena was just setting up for this impromtu lesson of sorts. Well, at first it would be sort of a question and answer session, but then, depending on how much time they had, they might go into some other things. She hoped it wouldn't be too frightfully boring. Instead of the traditional hospitial wing setting, there was only one row of beds. On the other side, was a small half circle of chairs. She whistled quietly, waiting for the students to arrive and also for Kellen, whom she had asked to help her.

"Mrs. Johnson!" Kellen greeted cheerfully as he made his way through the hospital wing toward her. He was glad he was the first student there; it wouldn't make a very good impression if the assistant was late. He was excited about the lesson; sure, it would be all basic stuff that he knew, but helping others learn it was always a good way to practice.

Pat walked into the hospital wing not long after Hellen, perhaps only a minute or so between their respective entrances. The silver-haired teen walked toward the only two inhabitants of the room at the moment, Kellen, and the Nurse herself, Mrs. Johnson. "Hey there," he said to both of them before taking a seat, about in the middle of the semicircle.
Pat turned his attention to the hospital wing itself now. It seemed little different than the last time he was here. That particular occasion had been quite uncomfortable; the memory of forcing Krissy to come to the hospital wing to have her side checked was still fairly clear. Krissy hated magical healing with a passion, it had been like forcing a reluctant cat with claws into a cage, without getting physically scratched.
When Pat thought about it, he wasn't sure that he had told Krissy he was taking this class on Healing. He wondered just what she would think when she found out; probably that he had gone crazy, but that was simply a wild guess. Still, Pat was curious who else had signed up for this seminar of sorts...

Misaki took her time coming to the hospital wing on the count of she didn't feel like running, which she normally did when it came to class. However this one was a different story. Misaki had signed up for this class because she was interested, that's right, interested in possibly becoming a healer after leaving school. Even though her seventh year was still four more years away, it couldn't hurt to at least take a glimpse at it.
Entering the classroom, there were already two people there she didn't really know, but the possibilty that they were younger than her were nil. And of course the nurse was already there waiting for them. Picking one of the chairs in the semi-circle, Misaki sat down and waited to see who else might be taking this class.

Ash stepped into the Hospital Wing, it was about time they they had begun this thing. Although, when she had signed up, she wasn't aware of the sharps objects hidden behind the shelves... She flinched at the thought of it but smiled when she saw Pat, and gave a small wave, gladly taking a seat next the the fellow fourth year. Ash glanced to see Kellen and Misaki and nodded to them as if to say hello- she didn't really feel like talking today.

Jack walked into the Hospital Wing to see that there was already a couple of students there for the lesson on Healing. It had always been a career option that he kept open and thought about. With parents in the healing field you couldn't help thinking about it as a career. There continual talk about it had interested him from a young age and now here was the perfect opportunity to learn more about it from an outside point of view. Walking over to a chair on the other side of Pat he sat down saying hi to everyone. He thought that it was funny that the majority of the students were Ravenclaw, but maybe the house just breed Healers.

"Hello," Selena said smiling warmly. "I'm so glad you all decided to show up tonight. That shows something it takes to be a healer, inititive and a willingness to learn. By showing up here, when you didn't have to, it already tells me something about what kind of a person you are. I'm Selena Johnson and this is my helper Kellen McCrea. Some of you might recognize him. Now, do any of you have a question right off the bat?"

"Where's the darn Hospital Wing!" Lisa mused with a look of exasperation, her eyes dodging the glances of the older students as she sprinted. The corridors became a blurry array of colors, none standing out over the others as they were all mostly bathed in the sunlight that poured through the windows. Lisa finally put the brakes on. She took a deep breath, and turned to the nearest portrait. "Lucky me," she thought with a sigh, "the three-headed ogre."
"Um... excuse me... sir?" The ogre was unconscious... at least she thought it was. "Sir!" This time her voice raised louder than it usually did, which was mainly just above a whisper.
"Whaddaya want!?" it roared back with a fierceness in its voice that made Lisa cringe.
"I was just wondering... which way the hospital wing was..." with that, Lisa took an apprehensive step back.
"That way!" the three heads cried at once, each gesturing in a different direction. Sighing with defeat, Lisa shook her head and took off down the corridor. Before long, she finally found the hallway she recognized to lead to the Hospital Wing. "Thank Merlin," she muttered as she collected herself. Brushing a few stray strands of hair from her face, Lisa turned the doorknob and promptly entered. "Sorry I'm late, ma'am. I was... terribly lost..." she explained softly, not wanting the others to have reason to ridicule her. Quickly, nonetheless, Lisa made her way to one of many vacant chairs set up before the nurse.

Pat sat quiet as other students entered the Wing, taking seats in differents spots in the semi-circle. First came a girl he did not know, although he gave a small greeting all the same. Following shortly after her was Ash, and then Jack, both of whom Pat also greeted. For the most part though, he sat silently, tapping his foot against the stone floor, waiting for some sign from the Head Nurse that this seminar was to begin.
That sign soon came, as she came forward, giving a small speech, introducing herself and Kellen, before asking if there were any questions right off the bat. Pat raised his hand slightly, and opened his mouth to speak. However, before he answered, the door opened and in entered another girl, who seemed a little embarassed at being late. However, she wasn't really late, and Pat smiled at her for a moment before turning his attention back to the Nurse. "Uhhh, besides 'initiative and a willingness to learn'," he started off, a tad hesitant to be the one who started things, "what else do we need to become a Healer?"
It was a simple question, but Pat hadn't had his career advice session with his Head of House yet, and didn't know just what was involved in persuing any particular career. So, who better to ask about healing requirements than the Nurse?

"I'm not going to lie to you," Selena said. "Becoming a healer is not easy. You need to be smart, or at least have a study ethic because you will have to work hard. First step is passing your O.W.L.s. After that, you'll be in Newt level classes. To become a healer, you need to have a grade of at the bare minimum of E in five subjects. Those being potions, herbology, transfiguration, charms, and defense against the dark arts."

Kellen bit the side of his lip and looked down at her comments. He hadn't received an 'E' in Herbology. He hadn't even gotten an 'A'. But, since he knew that and knew his weakness in the area, he'd done a lot of work to bring up his understanding, and had convinced Professor Shaw to let him into the NEWT level class by showing how dedicated he was. Not all professors would've done that, of course, and he didn't expect that exceptions like his would be made often, so he didn't bring it up.
