"Not bad," Drew told Imogene grinning down at her. He tried a tougher move, forward, back, forward again, quick to the side and then to the other ending with a sharp spin out, only to pull her back in again.

When she spun back in, she gave out a quick sigh of relief, happy that she hadn't tripped or anything of that nature. Yet she still wondered how other students reacted. During that whole great deal of dancing, she could've sworn she saw a few students out of the corner of her eye, but wasn't entirely sure.
"You're not so bad yourself." Imogene commented. In fact, Imogene felt a little bad. "But I must apologize. I..., well I underestimated you at first." She told him, a in a bit of a shy tone.

"Quidditch jock-prankster has two left feet, huh?" he asked, with a small smirk. He knew the stereotypes and knew his reputation. And thoroughly enjoyed debunking them both every so often.

Imogene almost started laughing. Quidditch?! He played quidditch? Surely dancing and quidditch didn't come hand-in-hand, yet thanks to him, they apparently did. "You play qudditch?" She asked, almost in disbelief. Of course she did believe him, but it struck her as odd.

Drew had to laugh, throwing her down into a dip as the song ended. He noticed she didn't dispute the prankster label though. His reputation was still strong there.
"Six years now," he told her proudly.

For a moment, Imogene had the feeling he might drop her. That would be horrible if he did. Not to mention he would get back-handed across the face from her. She was becoming a lot better at standing for herself. But she trusted him, and knew he most likely wouldn't drop her.
"Six years? My, my. You must be quite the quidditch player." She commented lightly.

Drew pulled her back up, catching her easily in what some might consider a gentle hug. It was all just dancing to him. "I dont' know about that," he said modestly. "I'm not planning to go professional or anything."

Imogene very much enjoyed watching quidditch, but never took the time to actual learn to play it. She knew if she did, she might end up killing herself, one way or another.
She sighed. I could never see myself playing quidditch. Just look at me! Other than my school uniform, I look like a hand crafted porcelain doll!" That was always the look she gave off. Delicate and gentle on the outside, yet strong-willed on the inside.

"So?" Drew asked, letting her go now that thier dance was offically over. "Is that who you really are? Why let it define you? You can be or do what ever you want. The outside is nothing in the long run."

"That's not the point. The point is that I simply can't play quidditch, and I'm fine with that." Which was true. Imogene was fine with the fact that she wasn't all that greatly coordinated physically. She still got by perfectly fine, and happily.
"I know that I can be want I want to be and do what I want to do. It's more of a...family issue as to why I must obtain a look of normality. That's a whole other story. But enough about that." She said, leaving that in the air. "I don't believe you've told me your name."

"Drew Thornton. Nice to meet you," he answered, still stuck on something she had just said. "Since when is playing quidditch not normal?" he asked. "In my family it's NOT playing quidditch that makes you abnormal."

Imogene raised an eyebrow. "Imogene Hara. But who ever said anything about quidditch not being normal? I find it perfectly normal." She said, in a matter-of-fact tone. Though she soon realized he must've interpreted her words incorrectly. It made her smile slightly. "I wasn't talking about the normality of quidditch!" She told him, sort of laughing at him in her mind.

"You said you couldn't play quidditch and that you had to up hold this sense of normalicy," Drew answered back. "Sounded to me like someone thinks quidditch isn't normal." He could understand now that he had misinterpreted her words, but still wanted to clarify.

Imogene sighed. "No. The first part is correct, but the second part is not." She almost found this amusing. "When I mean hold up a sense of being normal, I mean it in a very different way then from what anyone would perceive it to be....oh, never mind." Imogene had become flustered, and almost began to mix up her words. "Let's leave it at this; I like quidditch. I think it's normal. There is no one in my family who thinks it's abnormal because there is no one to think it's abnormal. Do you get it now?" She asked hopefully.

"Either you're orphaned or Muggle-born," Drew answered, figuring those were the only two options. "If it's the first, then it's not a family issue, but society telling you what is and what isn't normal. If you're muggle-born, then nothing would be normal now, would it?"
