The window was opened. The breeze went throughout the classroom. The man at his desk waiting for the first years to arrive was the same man as the last lesson. Not much out of the lesson last time, but he could make up for it this time. What he was going to schedule to do with the first years, he was not yet sure. But he thought of maybe review all the material they learned this year. He wasn't sure as of yet, but that was going to be his top thing to do today.
The room was very delicate and spotless. He always liked a clean room. No matter where it was. Now, the only thing missing.
The students.

It was an awful, rotten, crappy, crappy day and having to go to classes just made it worse. He had stepped on his favorite Lego figurine, the dragon Arianna had charmed to fly, Drew ate the last sausage at breakfast, and Peeves had ambushed him in the hallway, dousing him with water balloons from above.
Jeremy scowled as he made his way into the classroom, ignoring anyone and everyone who was already there, not caring that he was leaving a trail of drips as he found his seat. If anyone tried to make fun of him today, he'd hit them, plain and simple.

And of to charms we go, Claire thought almost happily as she swung her bag onto her shoulder as the firstie left the Slytherin table after breakfast. So far her day had been going well, she even remembered to jumb over the trick step on the way up this time. But everything seemed like it was going to turn for the worst when a familiar crackle of laughter could be heard somewhere on the upper floors. "Don't tell me..." she mutter hiding behind a statue. At least Peeves flew away and did not catch sight of her. Wonder what kind of mischeif he was up to this time...
Entering the classroom, Claire noticed a trail of water leading to the same place Jeremy sat. "Um...Jeremy? What happened?" the girl asked curiously. Never had she talked the raven boy before so she didn't want to make any jokes on the first time. Wow, that had to be a first for the young snake. But don't this will ever happen again...alright it just might.

Drip. Drip. Drip.
Professor Snow looked up to see the young Ravenclaw whose name was Jeremy Taylor was dripping water from the room. He raised his eyebrow and snickered a little bit. "Jeremy, why are you... um... soak and wet?" he asked. He really had to know, being a teacher and all. He has heard rumors around about the boy, but still something else could of been the reason.

He heard the professor snicker and it didn't help his mood any. It wasn't like he could hit a grownup for making fun of him. Or maybe he would and then he'd get expelled and then he could leave this wreched place. No, they'd probably make him stay just to make his life more miserable.
"Nothing! Leave me alone!" he yelled at the Slytherin girl as he buried his head in his arms. He couldn't yell at the professor and he had to take it out on someone. Besides, if grown ups were laughing about him, it wouldn't be very long before the kids did. That's how it had been at his old school.

A nice clean, dry floor, and then a puddle, another, another, and then drops of water trailed down the corridor floor. Brenton didn't know, but if he had to guess, it was a rouge Merman on his way to off Hannah. What was with the witch and wizard and getting at the girl? Come on, she was pretty, sure, probably a Princess, yea, and not to mention she was smart. Had to be she knew something they didn't if they kept going after her this badly. That troll hadn't been spotted by his amber eyes in a while, so a merman now... interesting.
Running as fast as he could, Brenton followed the trail of water, surprisingly, right into his next class. The Merman was waiting for her, to grab her when she stepped into the room.
Just outside, Brent waited, trying to think of the spell they'd just learned in Charms not long ago, but would it work? Wand raised high, Brent stormed in ready to take down that Merman... and was disappointed when there wasn't any to be seen. However, a funny point was Jeremy sopping wet. Apparently the Merman grabbed the wrong Ravenclaw.
And while he yearned to say something to the big-eared boy, Claire was within his sight, a lovely vision of beauty if he did say so himself, and he did.
"Hi Claire," he greeted the pretty Slytherin in a kind of dreamy voice, wondering why he didn't just ask if he could walk to class with her sometime. They did both hail from Slytherin, so it wasn't too creepy.
And because all of his attention was on the lady, he couldn't make a comment about big-eared boys state. What kind of a Prince would he be to make trouble in front of such nobility? But, it didn't keep him from taking his kind of usual seat next to the boy. They still did need to work out a few details concerning their volcano and Hannah.

"Fine." Claire huffed turning away. Geez, a girl couldn't be nice to a guy for once without being yelled at now could she. Even though the professor snickered slightly, there was no need to take it all out on the firstie. She didn't laugh after all. Might as well forget about it. If he could handle his own problems than fine, no need for the Slytherin to be concered right? So after the raven's outburst, Claire heard another voice approaching as she began to stalk off. Turing around, it was Brenton another snake. Again, not even noticing the strange tone of the boy's voice the firstie just nodded. "Hey Brenton," before returning to her own seat.

Maddy ran through the hallways, up the stairs, and into the corridors. The eleven year old presumed she was running very, very late, but that was just her stressing out. She hadn't yet been late for a class, nor been on detention, but the girl was still really scared. Maddy hyperventilated, as she stopped and sat herself down in the middle of one of the quieter corridors. The first year had to catch her breath, even though she was only on the third floor. She came from the ground floor, and she was trying to get to the fifth floor, so she was basically halfway there.
After sitting down for almost five minutes, the girl picked up her bag and began to stand up. Knowing Maddy, she didn't grab it properly and while she was kneeling, she threw the bag up over her shoulders. She didn't hold on to it properly, and before she knew it, smash! The ink bottles had smashed, dousing the parchment and herself in navy. The colour didn't show up on her robes, but her blouse was splotchy. She picked up her bag and continued walking along in a huff.
Maddy entered the classroom and looked around. She wasn't sure what they were doing today, but Maddy hoped it wouldn't take too long, as she wanted to head back to the dormitories and get changed. "Hey, Professor Snow." She said in a half hearted tone. As she passed the students already sitting, Maddy realised she wasn't late. She only knew Claire and Jeremy, but had absloutely no idea who the thrid was. He was a slytherin, she knew that, and she also knew that he was in her year, but that didn't give away much. "Hey Claire, hey Jeremy. I'm Maddy." She said, looking around at each when she spoke, the last bit aimed at that one boy. Maddy pulled up a sit not too far behind them. "How are you all?" She said, trying to make friends.

Jeremy stayed hidden under his arms, wishing for class to start quickly so it would be over faster. One of those kissy-girls came in and spoke to him, but Jeremy didn't answer, didn't even bother looking up. He wanted nothing to do with any kissy girls, that was for sure.
When was Hannah going to show up, he wondered.

YES! she said hi back! It was the best thing in the world, she acknowledged him in public, which had to mean he wasn't too bad a of a kid. Oh, Brent was basking in the little glory he now had. Claire, the Claire Desrosiers greeted him in front of his fellow mates... well, mate. There was only one, Big-Eared Boy. Eh, at least it was someone, even if he was still dripping wet. But, she didn't seem too happy, immediately, Brent started glaring at the professor, sure he had to have done something.
And then someone started greeting people and Brent had to stop his glaring to turn a tightly lip-pressed smile at the girl. Wow... she could be nobility, too. What was with all these people and the castle crawling with nobility? It wasn't a bad thing, but there were alot of possibilities.
"Brenton," he answered, turning as pleasant a face he could on the girl and nudging Jeremy a bit. Did he not hear the girl?

Claire had almost reached her seat when another firstie strolled through the door. The face was familiar but the twelve year old could not put a name to the face. Man, she really needed a better system of remembering names or just pay attention more. Either one of those might help a bit. For starters the girl was a Hufflepuff but when she mentioned her name it hit her. Duh! It's Maddy. I feel like a bloody idiot. As long as she didn't find out. Claire thought a bit embarassed.
"Hi Maddy." she started trying to sound as if nothing happened. Or in this case a raven boy shouting at her for no good reason. But her temper was not to be tested for now. "I'm alright, just a bit sleepy but what else is new." Claire continued with a small smile.

"Alright first years," he said as he went to the board. "Today, we are going to review what we did this whole year. Well, you had another professor last semester. Anyone mind telling me what he or she taught which charms to you?" he asked nicely. He was curious in his mind, because he never met the last professor who was the Charms professor. Rumors went around he was the Gryffindor Head of House, wondered what happened to him? Oh well, all his mind was on this lesson he needed to do.
((Class is started. Any other introductions after this will be counted as late.))

NOW... Brenton was poking him! His best friend in the whole wide world, second only to Hannah, had turned on him and was now pushing him! Jeremy would probably end up with a bruise, but he didn't care. Everyone hated him: Brenton, that kissy-girl he was talking to, the other girl who had yelled at him for no reason at all... even the professor hated him.
Jeremy stayed where he was, head burried in his arms, dripping wet, and feeling even more miserable now that he knew how everyone really felt about him.

"How are you?" the Slytherin kid asked. A lady should answer before a gentleman went on his way with words and such, was proper and nice. Besides, a girl's state was always more important than a boy's anyway. And when Jeremy didn't say anything, but actually looked like he retreated to his little position even more, Brent glared at the boy. He really was being rude, unless he was embarrassed about his state of being due to the fact he was sopping still. Maybe that was it, he was miserable and embarrassed and therefore didn't want to embarrass himself any further!
Ah, Brent had it now.
Still though, usually Jeremy at least said something to him. Nope, now he was just acting like a big baby, sure, he was wet, but come on now.
Turning around to face front and try and pretending to pay a little bit attention to the Professor, Brent took out a bit of paper and began writing a little note to Jeremy to ask what was up. As soon as the Professor turned around he'd slip onto the boy's desk.
The note read:
What's wrong with you? That girl was acting all nice and you just ignored her...
Any boy would like to have a nice girl like that talking to him. Sure, Jeremy acted sour often enough, but he wasn't even talking.

Oh boy. Hannah Astley was running late to Charms class. For the first time ever in her whole career as being a first year attending classes at Hogwarts, she was running late. The young Ravenclaw really had no reason to be late, either. It was just that she had gotten distracted by an overactive ghost and decided to follow it around for while, until she realized she should've been in Charms.
Even though Hannah had realized she should've been in Charms, she still took her time trying to find the class, she was just a tad unsure of what to expect going into this class. Considering she skipped the last one out of pure crankiness, but at least she did take some time out for studying the subject in her cranky mood.
The only problem remained, was that when Hannah entered the classroom trying to make herself as small as possible with her back up to the wall, all the while making her way over to Brenton and Jeremy, she was still late. Sneaking herself down in a seat next to Jeremy, Hannah threw him and Brenton a smile and tried to stay incognito... maybe she would get lucky and the Professor wouldn't notice she was there. Then again, maybe now would be a good time to think up a story about why she was late and see if it would wash with the Professor in case she did get notice.
