Seanna knew there was something that she had forgot to do when lessons had started up again, and that was to go to her first History of Magic lesson. In between doing rounds for her prefect duties, getting things organized for the Huffle camp and just getting things ready for Huffle in general, made the girl forget to go to the class. Everything else seemed to just take more time and as soon as she realized that she had to go to History of Magic, it was too late.
That was why Seanna was making the trip up from the Huffle common room to the office of the new History of Magic Professor. The girl had been in the office once before, but that was when Professor Atwood had been both her HoH and History of Magic Professor and from the rumors that were spreading about, she had heard that this new Professor was nothing like what Professor Atwood had been.
Walking down the fifth floor corridor, the Huffle girl just stopped outside of the Professor's office. All she needed to do was ask for some notes on what he had taught the seventh years for the last lesson. Sure, Seanna could've gone to any other seventh year student and ask them for then notes, but she figured it was probably better for her to go to the Professor herself and at least explain why she hadn't turned up to the class.
Hand reaching up to the door, Seanna knocked on it lightly, not sure if the Professor would even be inside the office. Resting her hand back to her side, Seanna waited to see if she would be allowed to enter.

Alex smiled as the two new crates arrived, these contained Roman artifacts and hopefully the artifacts that were supposed to be his family's. Alex opened the first crate and took out the first thing that came out, a pendant. He sutdied it and looked at the engraving, there was the Griffiths' family crest. A shield shaped crest with a Griffin, a hellhound and a runespoor in it. My ancestors are demonic he thought, looking at the beasts on the crest. He put it back in the crate and closed it, he would inspect it later.
Alex then sorted through the other crate, this contained all the anonymous roman artifacts and tons of old journals and even a few diaries. He was about to open one of the journals when someone knocked on the door, he looked at it questioningly. I don't expect anyone do I? he thought, looking at the door. He put the journal down and walked over to the door, he opened it and was surprised to see a 7th year hufflepuff. Must be about the lesson, he smiled at her. "Yes, my dear?" he asked, opening the door wider for her to come in if she wanted. "Excuse the two crates, they are new arrivals" he said, still smiling in his usual friendly way at the girl.

It had been a day or two since Alexander had come to her office to speak with her about their past and she knew she had to apologize. It was rude of her what she said, what she did, and though she meant every word still, she also knew that God was very disappointed in her reactions towards a man whom was supposed to be an old friend. An old flame… Annemarie shook her head remembering her nun training and what her life was really supposed to be meant for…and yet, if she was no longer really a nun, or even one in training, was she even preparing to marry Jesus? To put it in more lehmens terms any ways.
She sighed and getting to the doorway she noticed that Alexander was with another student, one that Annemarie didn’t know. Without saying a word she turned away not wanting to disturb him. Now she could only hope that she wasn’t seen.

Seanna didn't have to wait that long while she waited for the Professor to open the door, and she half expected the Professor to say just come in, so it was kind of weird, but sort of nice that the Professor had opened the door and greeted her. The Professors she had gone to see in the past rarely did that and Seanna thought it was a odd change to see a Professor do so.
Seanna wasn't sure if she was supposed to go in the office or not, but figuring that she could when the Professor said something about minding the crates. "Okay" the Huffle's brown eyes going towards the crates and wondering what was inside them. Not sure where to sit, but just standing in the middle of the room for the meantime, she fidgeted from one foot to the other, while she figured out what to say.
"I was just wondering... " Seanna trailed off, not sure how to start. "I mean, I kinda missed the last class and was just wondering if you had any notes that I could borrow so that that I can read them over for studying" Seanna asked, biting her lip a bit nervously. "Oh, I'm Seanna" Seanna introduced herself to the Professor, not sure why she was feeling nervous around him, but figuring maybe it was just because he was really different than Professor Atwood.

Alex smiled at the girl and then something or someone caught his eyes, Annemarie. She was there, he looked at her and let the girl pass. He then left the girl there for a moment and walked over to Annemarie, "Professor Van Aller, could we please talk in my office. One of my students is just here to get some notes" he said, looking at Annemarie. He wasn't sure if she'd say yes to it, but he tried. While waiting for her response, Alex went back to the door and smiled at the student.
"Yes, look over at the books at the back and look at the one labeled Roman history. That book is a projection tome, all you have to do is open it and watch. There's a self ink quill in my desk along with some paper, use those to write down the important details and feel free to sue my desk for writing your notes" he told the student, then he turned back to Annemarie. He was still waiting for what she would say, normally he wasn't going to let anyone alone in his office, but he thinks he would trust the hufflepuff. So he let her in her own devices and looked at Annemarie.

Alexander seemed to never let anyone pass his vision, or maybe it was just her he seemed to always notice. Either way, it was highly annoying, especially, in front of others. All he needed was for rumors to be spread, or things to be said that would allow for anymore disrespect to be shown towards her. Annemarie turned around to see Xander standing behind her and gesturing for the other girl to go and do her business. "We could, but I wouldn't want to bother you or your student as she's doing her work." Annemarie nodded hoping that Alexander really wasn't about to talk about the other night in front of someone. That was personal and private for Annemarie and she would have rather talked about it later.
Following Xander, she felt a little nervous being there with another, especially a student. She smiled and did recognize the girl as being the Hufflepuff Prefect she had met just once the year before the end of the year feast. As Alexander turned back to her after giving the girl instructions, her eyes opened slightly and she gave him a look of slight confusion. "What was it that you wanted to discuss?" she asked him wearily.

That was easier than she thought it would be. Seanna was sure she was going to get some sort of reprimand for not showing up to class, but so far she hadn't and all she had to do was watch something and write notes down from that? This Professor wasn't anything like Professor Atwood had been. Fair enough, his classes had been interesting, but they still had to learn from a book. The girl would have to make sure she would show up for the next class if that's how the new Professor's classes worked.
"Okay... and thank you" Seanna said to the Professor, giving him a small smile while he attended to another Professor that had just walked past, leaving her alone in the office for a little while. Curious brown eyes wondering around the office, they looked around at some of the interesting things that were in it. Walking to the back of his office, Seanna got the book that was labeled Roman History and made way to sit down at his desk.
Spotting the other Professor that just entered the room and gave her a smile, Seanna offered her one of her own, trying to think of her name. Professor Aller... Aller Van? It was something like that, but she had work to do and started to busy herself with finding the quill and parchment, while she opened up the book, all the while keeping one ear out on the Professor's discussion.

Xander gestured to the far corner of the room away from the girl, he didn't want to be heard. "Let's talk there" he said, walking to one of the armchairs there and gesturing for her to sit on the one beside his. He then looked at the girl and smiled as he saw her already watching the projection, he looked at Annemarie and waited for her to sit down before they would talk.
He had a feeling that it wasn't gonna be a short talk, but a serious one and he hoped that the student will finish early or he has to let her borrow that book form him. He didn't want her to hear anything he and Annemarie would be talking about.

Xander of course avoided her question of what it was that he wanted to talk about so badly that a student had to be in the room with them. He spoke softly so that the girl would not hear, but Annemarie was sure that she herself would be heard. "Professor Griffiths, this is not the place," she said with a stern look in her eye, briefly sitting in the armchair just so that Xander would at least say his peace and be done with it. She wasn't about to apologize to him while another was in the room, especially since he was the one whom had come to her office trying to get all sorts of information out of her and upsetting her... she didn't want to play this game.
"Alexander... what is it?" she asked.

Roman history... Seanna was watching the images float around her, but she wasn't exactly sure what part of Roman history she was watching. Thinking back to her other History classes, the Huffle was sure they had never covered Roman history before and Seanna bit her lip again, while she tried to figure what she was supposed to be writing down on the spare piece of parchment she had found on the History Professor's desk.
Looking up from the images, her brown head turned towards the two Professors and Seanna was sure that the Aller Van woman had called him Alexander... or were they talking about her co-prefect? Seanna wasn't sure. The Huffle got caught up in the images surrounding her, so she really wasn't paying that much attention to the Professors conversation anymore, however much she wanted to.
Looking back down at the images again, Seanna tried again to ascertain what part of Roman history she was watching. The girl knew they had a beginning, a middle and a downfall, but she still wasn't quite sure what she was looking at it. Making a move to stand up, she sat back down in the chair just as quickly, figuring that it probably wasn't right if she went over and actually interrupted the Professors conversation.
So Seanna did the next best thing-- she coughed a little, tapped the quill on the table and finally began to speak from the desk. "Professor?" The girl asked, for she wasn't that certain what the History Professor's name was, she hadn't found out that bit of information from the rumors going around. "Um... I'm sort of... lost" Figuring that was a better way of interrupting them than just going over to where they were both sitting.

Xander frowned at Annemarie, he wasn't fond of his first name and having it used infront of a student was something he didn't like. "Annemarie, please... don't call me Alexander" he said, looking at her with a slightly annoyed expression. He only expressed emotions to certain people and she was one of them. "It's about..." he started, but he was cut off by the hufflepuff asking a question.
He looked at the girl and smiled, then he gave Annemarie a look that said 'wait here'. He then walked over to Seanna and paused the projection, he looked down at the writing on the book and said "This is in the middle of the war between Druids and Roman wizards, I'll put this to the start of the Roman wizard age" he then flipped through the book and then stopped at a particular page and projection. He smiled at Seanna again and said "There you go, the start of the roman wizard age. That'll help you, watch and look down at the writing if you don't understand something ok?"
Xander then went back to Annemarie and sat back down, he leaned towards her slightly and asked "Why are you like this?" he made sure to keep his voice down so that Seanna didn't hear what they were talking about, he didn't want anymore rumors to come flying around the school about him and a co-teacher.

At his correction, Annemarie raised an eyebrow but understood that first names in front of students were unprofessional and nodded her head glancing to the side at the working girl. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything by it," she apologized not realizing her offense. As he leaned in to speak with her, and answer her question, the student spoke up about what she was studying. Annemarie looked towards the girl, throwing her a smile, and then smiling even wider as Xander rose from his seat to help her. He seemed genuinely happy helping and teaching at Hogwarts, and for some reason, it warmed Annemarie's heart. They had often spoken about such things like teaching at Hogwarts... she'd never thought they'd both actually be there though.
As he came back and sat down, her smile faded however into an irritated glare as he whispered to her a question that seemed to come out of no where. "Excuse me?" she asked, a bit taken aback and not lowering her voice any. She didn't care what was heard. What really could have incriminated her more at Hogwarts? "Like what exactly, Professor Griffiths?" she hissed, venom dripping off her every word.

As Seanna waited at the Professor's desk while she waited for him to come and help her figure out where she was in Roman history, a few words drifted over from the two Professors conversation and Seanna was sure she heard the name Alexander again, then the name Annemarie. Having missed parts of the conversation, the Huffle didn't realize those were the names of the two Professors sitting inside the office.
The brown haired girl tried to rack her brain to think if she knew any Annemarie, but came up empty handed. Seanna guessed that maybe they were talking about her Huffle co-prefect, but she wasn't that sure, her only conclusion coming from that they might've been talking about Alexander, was because he was the only Alexander she knew, but she hadn't a clue why the two Professors were talking about him, though. It was all a bit odd.
When the Professor came over and told her she was watching the middle of the war between the Druids and the Roman wizards and that he would wind the book back to the start of the Roman age, Seanna blinked, still unsure of where she was. The Huffle was pretty certain they had never covered Roman History before and she had no clue about it. "Oh... " Seanna trailed off, not sure what to say to the Professor, but when she looked back up from the table, Seanna saw that he had already gone back to Professor Aller Van.
Oh yes, it was all very odd and even odder when the Aller Van woman gave her smile-- for she wasn't sure why-- but Seanna managed a meek one back, before her brown eyes went back to the projection of some roman person guarding some palace, but Seanna wasn't sure whose palace they were guarding. Yes, it was all very odd to Seanna, but at least she now knew the History Professor's last name. The way Professor Aller Van said it rather nastily, made it hard for her not to hear her say his name.

Xander shot a warning look at Annemarie, there was a student there and he wasn't really in for a shouting match with her infront of one of his students. "This is what I am talking about Professor Annemarie Van Aller" he said, his words were emphasized and hopefully she'd get the clue.
Xander didn't want a fight so he sat back and looked at Annemarie, waiting for her to say something and looking at Seanna to make sure that she was doing ok with her notes. He didn't feel like repeating everything he did on that disastrous lesson.

Annemarie still didn't understand. Was he asking her why it seemed she couldn't do anything but argue with him? Why she wouldn't allow herself to let her guard down around him? Why she wouldn't allow him the dignity of accusing her of... well, whatever it was Annemarie didn't appreciate it. "We should then discuss this later... for I have no idea what you're speaking of," she finally whispered back harshly, crossing her arms and looking away from him. "For you know, I could ask you the same... questions." Annemarie hadn't sworn since the nunnery, but seeing Xander and feeling how she did made her want to curse something horrible.
Her eyes locked back onto Alexander's and she shook her head. "I just don't know what you're doing here and I came to apologize for my behaviors the other night... " she stopped short. "But, I should go. This isn't the time," she said glancing over at the student.
