Drew slumped down the wall farther, letting his head finally connect with the stone floor. It didn't really matter that he was stretched out across the hallway. Hardly anyone ever came down that way and if they did, well, they could walk around him or step over him, couldn't they?
He gingerly checked for any bleeding on the back of his head. He had smacked it pretty hard, but he was thinking clearer now. Of course, once Felicity came back, there was a good chance all of his head-banging would have been for naught.
There was no signs of open wounds on his head, though he thought he might have felt a lump forming. Good. He deserved it for being such an idiot.
He looked down the hall towards the direction that Felicity had gone off, wondering where she went and when she'd be back. He planned on waiting, but he doubted the professors would let him camp out overnight.

Something she would have to live with, him hating her. Could she live with it? She had to, what other choice did she have? There wasn't one as far as she was concerned. There was only the choice to try to get him to forgive her, and get his friendship back. If he wouldn't like her anymore, it was all that was left. And having just the smallest of things was something.
As she made her way down the corridor, Sammy found his way back to where he'd left Felicity and the other person. His brown eyes remained on the boy, searching for the girl, where was she? Was it possible she left and wouldn't return. Cautiously, as the boy had his head turned in the opposite direction, Sammy crawled up to him and peered over the body, just seeing the outline of the lioness and relaxing enough that he jumped on the stomach of the boy and bounded down the corridor after her.
"Sammy!" she called out, seeing the incident. How could the squirrel just pounce on Drew like he did, and then take off? It wasn't good manners at all, then again, did squirrels know manners? Probably not.
Picking him up from the floor, Felicity made her way back to Drew, brown eyes focused on the boy laying in the corridor. Was he feeling ill? Or was he really comfortable just laying there. "I'm sorry about Sammy."

The surprise of having the squirrel run over his midsection caught him so off guard that Drew screamed, not even noticing that it was Felicity that had caught Sammy's attention. Once the Ravenclaw realized what had happened, he busted up in a fit of laughter. That totally wasn't what he had been thinking of when he figured someone could step over him.
The squirrel across his stomach and the subsequent scream, there was nothing to be sorry for and Drew looked up at Felicity, still caught up in his giggles. "Oh geez! That scared me!"

His laughter was nice, it meant he was feeling all right, if he wasn't, he wouldn't be laughing about Sammy. Walking toward the boy with squirrel in hands, she looked down at him from the angle she stood over him at. Why did he look so tempting?
"Sammy scared you?" she asked with a little laugh, when the animal had bounded on and over Drew, she heard his scream, but she didn't think scared would be the right word, maybe startled. A few more giggles escaped as she looked down at him, biting on her bottom lip.
Carefully stepping over him, with one foot on either side, she sat down gently on his stomach, almost trapping him where he was. He'd do something if he didn't like her being there, he usually did.

"Having a squirrel run over me? Yeah, it... scared... me..." he told her, his giggles tapering off as she took a seat on his midsection. It was one of those instances where he could so easily pretend that she really loved him, where he could believe that just maybe she really did want to be his girlfriend.
He really didn't find the situation all that hilarious anymore and he looked up at her seriously before carefully placing a hand on her knee and slowly drawing a line down her leg, following the trail his hand made with his gaze. He wasn't going to look at her, afraid of what he'd see in her eyes. She'd be mad at him and it was his own dang fault for pretending she was still his girl.

The laughter quieted down, and it left an empty void in the air. The silence was always nice with Corey, but with Drew, she wasn't always sure. Sometimes it was nice, sometimes it wasn't, but right now, was it wrong that the silence felt nice? And it really felt nice where his hand had gone, and where it was trailing, down her leg. The light touch was enough to give her the sensations of tickling spasms, but it wasn't a real tickle and only a small smile formed on her lips.
Did he know how that made her feel? Probably not. But she really didn't mind that he did it either, she just wished she knew how to apologize for what she did, how to make it up to him if he'd let her, if he still liked her.
Instinctively, when his hand reached nearer to her ankle, Felicity's followed his, softly taking ahold of it, and slipping her hand into his.

When her hand found his, he looked up at her and smiled. So she hadn't minded after all. Should he push his luck and try the other knee? Worst case scenario, he figured she'd tell him that was enough. BUt hopefully, he'd get another hand held out of it.
"You're birthday's coming up..." he said as his finger drew a line down her other leg, hoping to distract her enough with conversation that he wouldn't get chewed out.

Her one hand in his, and he hadn't pulled away, and her other keeping Sammy still was keeping her occupied, but not enough to miss his other hand going for her leg. Truthfully, she didn't mind, not in the least bit, it was nice, even if his trailing finger this time was a bit more ticklish.
Jerking a little, because he touched a spot just right, she giggled, but didn't try to make him stop. He wasn't bothering her, and tickling wasn't the worst thing in the world, it just made her giddy, smiley, and happy.
"Yes, it is," she answered, a big grin on her face. "What about it?"

She flinched, but when she giggled he figured he had hit a ticklish spot, and while he apologized, it didn't keep him from giving her a crooked smile and finishing his path down her leg.
"I was just wondering if you had big plans," he told her, figuring she was probably going to do something with her friends. He had made some major plans to ask her out for that day, but that was before she had broken up with him. "It's 16. Isn't that supposed to be a big deal, or is that just in the States?"

"Nope, none," she answered. As far as she was concerned, she preferred to either spend it with Celina, Corey, or Drew, and no one had asked her about it yet. If one of them didn't say something about it to her, then she wasn't going to really celebrate it, only with Sammy.
"It's not really a big deal here," she told him. Seventeen was, that's when you got your license, a job, adulthood. Other than that, it wasn't that big of a deal, and sixteen didn't mean a whole lot more than you were a year older.
Settling Sammy down on his chest, the blonde tried to keep him still while with her other hand, she slid her fingers between his and squeezed gently.

Drew smiled up at her mostly doue to the hand holding. He wasn't too sure how he felt about giving Sammy such easy access to his face.
"Well... if you aren't doing anything... would you... maybe... want to ... possibly... do something with... me?" he asked, wondering if it sounded too much like a date. He figured he had enough indefinites in there to keep it from sounding too serious. And while he had kind of halted his preparations on her birthday project, he figured if she agreed, he could still get it together by the eleventh.
Just as friends, right?

Sammy didn't have too easy of access to Drew's face, after all, she was still holding onto him. Letting go right at this moment wasn't the best of ideas, not to mention she liked holding the squirrel.
Her smile grew as she listened to him. Hadn't she told him she didn't have plans? Here he was, talking like it was a possibility, like she did with him for making plans on New Years. But, she found it funny, adorable, and extremely tempting to want to kiss him.
Why was he such a nice looking boy? His eyes were so blue, he had the cutest smile, and his nose was just right for nuzzling. Completely perfect.
Nodding her head, Felicity couldn't take her eyes away from the boy. Even though Sammy was struggling against her one-handed grip, she didn't want to look away. "I'd love to do something with you...on my birthday..."

"Yeah?" Drew answered, sounding a little to eager and curbing his enthusiasm before speaking again. "I mean... okay, yeah, that sounds good." He thought he could still pull it off, especially if he asked Allegra to help him practice a bit more.
Then again, maybe she wouldn't want to do what he had planned. Maybe she had stuff she really wanted to do. It was her birthday after all. "Did you... like, want to do anything in particular... or do you just want to kind of... play it by ear?"

Nodding again, Felicity only just noticed how much Sammy was struggling about being held in place like he was. Could it be such a horrible thing that she loved the squirrel so much and liked holding him? Really, he didn't normally put up such a big fight, it was just him struggling, realizing he wouldn't win, and then her holding him. Why the fight now?
The blonde thought it sounded great, but good was all right too. And Sammy? He managed to escape Felicity's hand and took off down the corridor, but she didn't bother trying to chase after him again.
"Well...you asked me to do something with you, so whatever you want, right?" she asked, gently poking his side with her fingers on her free hand. Even if it was her birthday, he claimed her, technically.

"Yeah? Really?" he asked, not even bothering with trying to hide his excitement this time. He grinned and flinched as she got close to his ticklish spot, but really didn't mind the poking.
He had messed up Valentine's but this was going to be different. With her birthday in the middle of April, the weather was usually pretty nice, perfect for what he wanted to do.
"I could, um... send you an owl... or, I guess I'll just see you before then, right? I mean, I could... Okay, so your birthday... I'll just let you know, yeah?" he rambled, a million thoughts going through his head at once. He'd have to find the perfect spot, do a bit more research, a lot of practicing to make sure he got it just right... he was pretty sure he could do it.
