Nothing ever happened on the sixth floor and it was probably the least traveled of all in the castle. It was the reason Drew usually sought it out when he needed to think things through. He was currently stretched across the hall of the east wing, his back against one wall and his feet nearly touching the opposite one.
Deva, Felicity, Ari, NEWTS... they all played through his mind as he tossed an old tennis ball against the wall, a left over of the collection Kellen used to keep. The thump of the ball echoed down the hall and while it was noisy, the steady beat added to the stillness, making it easier to contemplate everything that was going on.

Seanna was currently coming out of the secret passageway she had found that night with Ben when she had been patrolling on the sixth floor. The Hufflepuff had only gotten halfway down the passageway when she reached the spiders that had made it's home in there and as much fun as Percy was having eating them, Seanna couldn't take it anymore and she had turned back with Percy in hot pursuit of her and it was him that was the first one out of the cobblestoned door and into the corridor.
Seanna was coming after him, but Percy was fast and he had spotted the ball that was being thrown at the wall. Quickly, Percy flew as high as he could, but in the end he couldn't quite catch the ball and the over-excited duck flew over to the ball's owner, perching himself in front of the large feet which Percy just could barley see over. "Quack?" Percy inquired that of the boy, almost as if asking the boy if he was going to toss the ball to him.
Seanna quickly ran down the corridor to where her duck was, hoping the duck wasn't causing any mischief. Though, since the Deva had taken over and since she had been back, Percy had been nothing but good to her and the Hufflepuff had found a new respect for her Duck, she hadn't been annoyed by him once since they had been let out.
"Percy!" Seanna called out almost in a scolding tone, but she softened it when she saw that Percy wasn't doing nothing wrong, besides sitting near the feet of Drew. The Hufflepuff had seen Drew around the school, but hadn't spoken to him since she had broken up with Mike. "Hi, Drew" Seanna said to the Ravenclaw boy, giving him a small smile and her eyes went to Percy, wondering if had done anything. "Sorry about Percy, he likes fetching things" Seanna said to Drew, noticing the ball and Percy looking at it. The Hufflepuff would have to take her duck out to the lake, later and let him fetch some sticks for her.

Drew was a bit surprised to see a duck come out of nowhere and while the bird was hardly frightning, he scootched back against the wall, holding onto the ball tightly, mostly afraid of throwing it and hitting the creature. The duck seemed friendly enough and Drew relaxed quickly though, laughing at his own silly reaction.
"So this is the famous Percy," Drew said when Seanna came up, he knew of the menagerie kept by the Huffles and had heard of Seanna's duck. The fact that it lked to play fetch was news to him though and he tossed the ball down the hall for it, wondering if Percy could manage the sphere with his bill. Leaving the ball to the duck, he looked up at the Huffle. "so, how's it going?"

'I wouldn't exactly say that Percy's famous or anything" Seanna said, shrugging her shoulder's at Drew and not knowing where he had got the whole 'Percy's famous' thing from. "Though, he did save Celina's cat that time by the lake... " Seanna trailed off, wondering if that's what Drew meant by Percy being famous, only just now remembering that Celina was in his house. Seanna still thought that Percy was still slightly annoying, but she didn't think that he was that annoying anymore to make him into a duck soup.
Seanna watched Percy fly down the hall after the ball, only to watch him do a bit of a slide and miss catching the ball again, once it had bounced to a stop near a wall. Picking the ball up in his bill, Percy flew back towards his owner and the kid named Drew. "Quack?" Percy went, as if again wanting Drew to throw it back down the hall. This was fun, he hadn't had any practice sessions for awhile, considering that his owner had come to stay inside the Huffle common room as of late.
"You know, it's going" Seanna shrugged her shoulder's again when Drew asked her how it had been going. The Huffle had kind of settled back into a 'normal' life again, was managing to get her panicking under control, but she didn't really didn't want to tell that to Drew. "How about you?" Seanna asked him, returning her gaze back to the Ravenclaw as she sat down next to Drew's feet and watched Percy nudge the ball towards the Ravenclaw.

"Going..." Drew answered with a crooked grin. He figured Seanna would know what he meant. She had been one of the few people who had been there to help him through some rough spots the previous spring. Heck, even his own girlfriend at the time hadn't been there as much. "Haven't cursed any squirrels lately, so I guess that's a good thing." Again, he smiled, able to find humor in his little freak out in the courtyard.
Drew threw the ball again for Percy who seemed to be enjoying the game. "I've heard around that you had a duck. That's enough to be famous in my book."

"That's a good thing for the poor squirrel's, at least" Seanna joked, remembering that time after she had broken up with Mike when Drew went just a little AWOL. "Least it was the squirrel and not Mike" Seanna added, thinking that she probably wouldn't have minded if Drew had cursed Mike back then. Back then, she hated Mike with more than just a passion. These days that hatred had subsided just a little bit and Seanna could tolerate being around Mike, heck, she could even speak to him civilly.
"It's amazing that I haven't been told yet that I can't keep him here. I mean, I know there's the rule where your only allowed certain animals here... but Percy has come in handy once or twice" Seanna replied, feeling just a little stunned that Drew thought Percy was famous and just a little guilty that she was breaking one small school rule.
"Did you know that he once bit Mike?" Seanna said, giving Drew a wide smile. Okay, so it was only because back then, Seanna hated Mike, which meant Percy hated Mike as well. The duck could sense who Seanna liked and who she didn't like in people and so the animal was wary around those people she didn't like.
Percy however, had decided to like Drew because of the fetching game. Flying after the ball once again, this time the duck finally caught the ball in his bill. Flying back to Drew and his owner, Percy flapped his wings excitedly and dropped the ball once again near Drew. "Quack!" Percy let out ecstatically to the both of them, proud that he had finally caught the elusive ball.

Drew smirked at her comment. He and Rolen had never gotten along well, but Drew never would actually curse the guy like that.
... probably.
"Aw, trust me, that squirrel was more of an evil mastermind than Mike could ever be," he told her with a small laugh and he threw the ball for Percy another time, marveling at how well the duck caught it.
"You guys have your own little farm down there from what I've heard," Drew commented. "Huffles never did seem to pay attention to that rule much." Drwe remembered when Ricky had an actual badger as a pet.

"Sure, I trust you. I believe that squirrel in question was trying to take over all the other squirrel's in squirrel land. Same as Mike has been trying to take over all the girls in Huffle" Seanna said, letting out a few giggles. The Huffle knew that that had been a bad time for Drew back then, especially seeing as how that was just after that time he had been kidnapped and released from Robert Shaw. After the Deva had invaded, Seanna could kind of understand what Drew had gone through, to an certain extent.
"Yeah, we've got a lot of animal's in Huffle. There's even a pig named Podge, now, he's Percy favorite friend" Seanna mentioned to Drew. Coming out of the takeover, the girl was surprised to see that Percy and Podge were getting along okay. Even to the point that they had managed to get out the cage together. "I guess Atwood doesn't mind them being there... then again, we don't see him much down in the common room" Seanna commented, thinking quietly that it was probably a good thing that her HOH never did come visiting the common room that much.
Watching Percy fly off towards the ball once again, Seanna looked over at Drew, wondering how he had coped with Shaw being in the school. "It's kinda strange talking about things that happened before... before everything that happened with the Deva and all. It feels like a lifetime ago" Seanna began tentatively, not sure if she should be bringing the fact up or not. The fact was, it was strange talking about things that happened before the takeover, when everything after that had changed.
"I still can't believe they actually got into the school" Seanna said, still watching Percy chase after the ball. How the Deva had gotten into school was still amazing to the Huffle.

"Yeah, I don't think they'd have lasted long in Ravenclaw," Drew said, knowing how tough Raynor was about the rules. Hiro had Flicker, but that was a special circumstance.
He fell quiet when Seanna spoke of before, understanding what she meant. Things hadn't been all rosey-sunny-perfect, but the realities of the outside world had still been for the most part outside.
"They did it once, they could do it again," Drew pointed out, knowing that peole were working to keep them all safe. Problem was, they hadn't worked fast enough to keep them safe this last time.

"Do you think they'll actually try and get into the school again, though?" The Huffle knew the Deva could probably get into the school, despite the school having all the security set up around it. Though, she didn't think they would try and get into the school again, well not for a long time, anyhow. Well, Seanna didn't want them to be in the school again, she was still trying to figure out how to stop herself from panicking as it was.
"I mean, I just figured Shaw would be off in hiding for sometime" Seanna added the last bit carefully and quietly. The Huffle didn't know if she should be bringing up Shaw in front of Drew and maybe she should've steered the conversation to something else, but she also felt if they couldn't talk abut Shaw and the Deva and what had happened, would be also giving into them. Kind of like feeding the fear in a quiet way by not speaking about them.
"Quack!" The Huffle girl jumped slightly when her duck announced his presence and Seanna noted once again that the ball was in his mouth, though, she didn't know if Percy had caught the ball or not, but the duck certainly looked proud to be holding the ball in his mouth again. Percy dropped the ball near Drew again, wondering if the boy was going to throw the ball again or not. "I think Perc likes you" Seanna added quietly, thinking that that was probably a good thing. If he hadn't, she was sure that Percy would be trying to bite or annoy Drew by this time.

"I don't know, but if they did it once they could do it again," Drew said solomnly. "I don't know... they might be laying low, or they might be planning their next take over, or they might be reveling in their success of overtaking one of the most secure places in the Wizarding World."
Drew smiled as Percy made his demands and Drew complied, tossing the ball down the hallway again. "Percy's pretty cool," he concluded, his grin growing wider.

Seanna shivered. The Huffle thought that was a pretty sick thing to do, revel in the fact that they had managed to take over the school and scare most of the kids that were in it. "That's kinda sick" Seanna told Drew, though, she secretly had to give it to Shaw for finding a way into the castle. The girl didn't really think that no one else had ever done that before, well, since Raynor had been Deputy, anyhow.
"He is, kinda" Seanna said, agreeing with Drew, while she watched Percy instantly catch the ball in his mouth, the small little teeth he had showing a bit. "Quack!" Percy let out, as in answering the question that he was cool. 'Course he thought he was cool, he could read his owner's mind, catch balls and sticks and save kittens as well. "Yup, I am cool" Percy told Seanna and the girl rolled her eyes at her duck. "Though, he can be annoying at times" Seanna told Drew, but her duck had calmed down a bit since the takeover and he wasn't as annoying as he used to be.

"Annoying? I don't see it," Drew laughed back and if Percy had been a mammal, the Ravenclaw would have given him a good scritch. Drew didn't though, not sure if birds liked being scritched and even if they did, not sure where the ears were so that he could do it properly.
As Percy brought the ball back, Drew tossed it again, thinking he probably woulndn't get tired of this game for a while. "So what other tricks does he do besides fetching?" he asked Seanna.

"He has a cool protection shield that he puts up if I'm in trouble" That was the only thing for now that she felt really comfortable telling Drew about. The Huffle wasn't too sure how he would react if she proceeded to tell him that Percy could read her mind and vice versa, considering it had really freaked out Nic that time when he told her. Seanna wasn't even too sure how Drew would react if she decided to tell him that Percy could understand what humans were saying.
"He's a magical duck as well, not just you're standard normal, animal duck" Seanna also told Drew, figuring she could let him know that much. As it was, the girl hadn't really found out that much else of what her duck could do, she only got him a month just before the takeover, so she hadn't had that much time to figure out what else Percy could do.
"Trust me, he can be annoying" Not as much as he used to be, but Percy still did have that tendency to get annoying and annoy his owner as well, the Huffle really thought it was one of his favorite activities to do. "I ended up being covered in owl feathers and owl droppings because of him" Actually, she really didn't mind being covered in the owl feathers and droppings, that day had been a fun day.

Drew was pretty used to magical animals, but hadn't run across too many magical ducks. A magical pig once and even an elephant that had some unusual abilities. But he figured Percy was his first duck.
"My sister had a rabbit. Bit my finger clear off when I was four," Drew told her, showing her the now repaired digit. A faint scar could still be seen between the joint and the knuckle. "My aunt had to reattatch it and I'm screaming bloody murder. Now that's annoying." And no, Drew didn't now think that it had been a fun day.
