Cooper had done a lot of exploring over the summer, finding many passages and corridors that were useful for hiding from his dad. He knew the groundskeeper hated it when his son hid from him, but Cooper always had a good laugh about it. And he would flash his cute smile and get away with it. Most of the time. Cooper knew not to push his dad because he could get mad at him if he wanted to and take away his basketball and toys. Cooper hated not having his basketball, so he didn't really cause too much trouble. All the time.
As he walked down the empty corridor on this Saturday morning, the only sounds Cooper heard were his feet on the stone floor and his red cape flapping behind him. In his pocket sat a stick he'd found in the grounds which he pretended was his wand. Pulling it out, Cooper held his fake wand out in front of him, his imagination pretending there were bad guys afoot. Standing up against the wall, Cooper slunk his way along until he reached the corner. Holding the wand in front of him at the ready, Coop lept from behind the wall.
"Expelliramus!" the young boy yelled the spell, (incorrectly, although he didn't know that) waving the stick like he was casting a spell. But that was until he noticed there was somebody else in the corridor. Frowning at the girl, he lowered the stick and walked up to her. "You're not the bad guys," he pointed out, looking up at her.

"Expelliarmus!"
Matty froze on the spot, her eyes darting about from where the spell had come from. She hadn't heard it clearly enough to recognize that it was wrongly said, only that it sounding like the disarming spell she knew well, after having learned it a while ago now. Heck, back in the day when she was probably only in third year, it wouldn't have been an uncommon thing to hear a random spell while walking through a corridor. But after the Deva attack, things weren't the same. After hearing a defense spell like that, while walking around the castle by ones self, it was rather nerving. Matty cautiously reached for her wand in pocket, when suddenly she noticed a small boy walking to wards her.
He wore a red cape, and a stick in hand, as he looked up to her and spoke. "You're not the bad guys," she realized now that it was the same voice she had heard before, and not some mistaken first year. Matty smiled down at him, before pending down so she was at his height, holding her own wand between her hands. "Thats right, I'm one of the good guys. Are you looking for baddies, did you see any?" she knew more than well he was probably just playing a games, similar to the type she played as a muggle kid, like cops and robbers. But it never hurt just to be sure. It was now that Matty realized she had seen him around before, recognizing the boy as the schools' Groundskeepers son.
"What your name, little guy?" she asked him sweetly, still smiling at the kid.
