It was the Christmas holidays but still Art couldn't believe he was gonna do this. he had reached the professor's office and he hesitated but he knocked sharply three times. He debated running but he decided not to and follow through with his reason of coming up seven stories of stairs. (he came from the dungeons) and he waited for an answer, maybe it would be fore the best if he got NO answer. but he doubted it, it was about Tea time and that usually meant Solis was having her tea but there was that hope that she was skipping tea.

Solis, who was indeed having her afternoon tea, was reading the newspaper while sipping a cup of jasmine tea. There was news about some unforunate events, something about the Ministry trying its best again. She sighed, and placed the cup of tea down. The Ministry was always trying its best, but little was being achieved. Another reason why she chose to leave the Ministry was because of the incompetency of the staff.
A rap on the door caught her attention, and she wondered who it was. Usually, people did not visit the Astronomy teacher. She cleared her throat audibly, and shifted in her seat.
"Come in," she said, letting the door open with a flick of her wand. Near the door way was a young Slytherin boy that she had become acquainted to. She smiled at him and beckoned him to come over. "Why, Happy Christmas, Mr. Tayern!" she said.
She wasn't sure if Artemis was upset or not, and hoped that she didn't say anything wrong. That Tayern child was a ticking time bomb. She always had to watch what she said or did whenever she was around him.

(that tayern child? eh?) " Happy Christmas Professor," Artemis said as he stepped into the office. He knew he was here just to chat but for some reason, he found it harder than what he thought it would be originally. he jsut sttod there his face a blank unreadable wall and he though about what he had to say, he just wasn;'t sure, he had thougth this over in his mind but he never really had something planned despite his attempts.

(yes, that Tayern child)
Solis stood up to greet Artemis and walked over to him. Placing a hand on his shoulder softly, she smiled at him warmly. "I'm glad to see you Mr. Tayern, I've been alone the entire break... it's refreshing to see someone," she said truthfully.
She offered him a velvet green seat that was extremely comfy. She had done some redecorating since she had more spare time. "Aye, you look like you've grown," she said, squinting at Artemis. "Please, sit down,"

Art took the green seat and found it extreemely soft and comfortable. Art cracked a smirk at the mention of him growing. " Sorry to disappoint you professor but I ain't grown another inch still a small 4'10" His voice was mocking but it discuised a note of disappointment. Art still couldn't figure out where he should start he couldn't even remember why he was here he felt just plain stupid.

"Really?" Solis said in disbelief. "I could have sworn... perhaps I'm just shrinking, I'm starting to get old..." she smiled at Art and settled herself into her chair.
"How was the holiday been for you, Mr. Tayern?" she asked. "I find this break rather uneventful-- I've actually started to miss my dear students who are away on holiday!"
She held out a tin of biscuits and offered him one. "Cookie?"

" my holidays have been somewhat similar, Lonely, everyone is gone, CJ, and most of my other Slytherins and even Dr..." Art stopped himself he was NOT friends with Mr. Thornton there wasn't even an option there he was not! "Thanks" Art said as he took a pair of cookies suprisingly he was nicer, maybe it was the lack of peple to talk to but Art felt somewhat grateful Solis was not busy and they could just talk.

Solis blinked at Art, and tilted her head slightly. "Who's CJ? You're friends with mostly Slytherins? Hmmm, strange," she said absentmindedly, thinking about her days at school. "This were different at my school," she shrugged a bit.
"Mr. Tayern, do you have your wand at hand by any chance?" she asked.
She had a few tasks to run, and she wondered if he could help her. Deep down, Artemis was her favorite student-- a close second would be that Abigail Bennet from Hufflepuff... and she was glad to have his company during Christmas break.

" CJ Charlie Jones Ya know?" Art aid with a matter-of-fact voice almost like Solis was stupid or not knowing what EVERY snake knew the Captain and co-captain/Prefect were DJ & CJ. Come to think of it, Art was friends with every Snake authority. When Solis asked about Art having his wand handy he smirked " Of course" Art said adding in his mind So i can Kill haru miho on sight when I see him alone. Art reached his hand down to his sock and he drew his wand from the inside of his sock, Art loved hiding his wand like that becasue nobody ele DID.

"Charlie Jones? Oh... Ms. Jones, that's right. Please excuse me, I'm used to addressing students by their surnames," she said, standing up. When he gave her the affirmative that she needed she tucked in her chair under the table. "Excellent, I need you to help me levitate a few things," she said.
"I'm afraid I have yet to start my Christmas decorating..." she sighed. Too bad Artemis was a first year. She conjured up an assortment of decorations from the closet and looked over at Artemis. "There are actually several orbs that need to be levitated, can you please do that for me?"
Solis made a note to give Artemis points later on.

" Sure artemis had actually better control on the levitation spell than any firstie in the school Reina had taught himhow to use it on other humns and himself with sucess so he decided on a bit of fun he gathered the decorations in his arms and swished and flicked his wan. Windardum Leviosa and he started to let HIMSELF float. " Wait, er eh how do you get these to stay up? String?" Art asked NOT knowing how to keep things levitating for any extent of time.

“They automatically stay up for temporary amount of time,” Solis said to Artemis. “I think it absorbs the effects of your spell and use up that energy. Eventually, you’ll have to recast the spell,” The glowing pixie and bubble orbs were golden, and they were definitely Ellie’s favorite part of decoration. They were beautiful and reminded her of the Christmas cheer.
She unfurled a long string of tinsel and holly and let it levitate to the door. The tinsel wrapped itself around the door and the holly hung above the door. Although the tinsel was a bit tilted, it still satisfied Solis. “Aye, I love Christmas decorations. So Mr. Tayern, how has Seeker training been?” she asked.

" Art ahhed and he Levitated himeslf higher then he dropped himself to the ground from about three feet up and despite the stone floor e landed quite softly by bending his knees and planting one Hand so he looked like a crouched Gargoyle. He then swished and flicked levitating the decorations up and leaving them. He heard her question and smiled like he was burting to talk about it. "Easier than ever, and i love flying only i wish i could have a broom of my own."
