He gave a last look at the elephant, for a second doubting if he wanted to leave the elephant but as Drew named the next animal and how big they were, the little kid changed his mind at once.
"Idafas! Idafas!" he agreed already looking forward to it "Chau fante! chau!! bye bye!" he said to the gray big animal then looked down at Drew again "pedo yo quelo ver peito tamben... perrrdito... ya?"
(OOC: But I wanna see puppy too, ok?)

So it sounded like they were done with elephants. Drew hitched the kid up again and made his way up the path to the giraffes. As they walked, Drew pointed out some of the other animals, mostly boring things like birds and deer. If Paquito really wanted to stop, he would and he also decided that maybe he could find a perrito for the kid.
"No puppies, but maybe we'll see the wolves?" he suggested. "Los lobos... they're kind of like puppies, okay?"

He nodded vigorously at Drew, half distracted looking at the animals they encountered in their way. He was not sure about how wolves were but if Drew said they were like puppies, then it was enough for the boy to agree.
"Tio Dude!" he just called out, pointing up at the sky as a flock of birds suddenly taking fly. His hand following the direction of the birds along with his head.

Drew was enjoying the trip through the zoo, and he liked Paquito's little baby noises as he saw something he thought was cool... even if it was just a squirrel. Even the flock of pigeons taking flight seemed to excite the kid, but Drew had to admit that it had been pretty neat.
"Yeah, I see them!" Drew cried out, showing the same kind of enthusiasm as the little kid had. But of course, there were bigger, more exotic creatures to look at right then. "Miraquí," Drew told him, pointing to the pen they were approaching where the giraffes were.

Hikaru took his attention out of the birds as soon as heard Drew calling his attention to another point, and what he saw just got him speechless for some seconds. The little one blinked stunned of surprise. Woahhh he had one of those at home!!
"Ohhh! Ohhh!!!" he just could say for the first seconds of broken silence pointing at the big animals with so long neck "Como mio, ese mi Kiko ese! Tio Dude! iguaito mi Kiko" he told Drew excited as he could have never dreamed to see a big version of Kiko, his toy giraffe "Mi kiko ese! Tio Dude! mamo poner... en su cueyo" he suggested not pretty sure how those things his toy had on the neck were called but remembering full well how to play with an animal like that: sticking rings on its neck.
(OOC: Just like mine, like my Kiko! Uncle Drew! Just like mine! Lets put... on its neck!)

Drew laughed at the little guy's reaction, figuring right away that the kid must have a stuffed giraffe named Kiko at home. Drew wasn't sure what Paquito wanted to do with the animal (climb up its neck?), but he did his best to answer, hoping the little boy understood.
"No, we can't play with him," Drew answered. "No podemos jugar. But we can look at him. You think you can get him to come over?" The problem was, Drew didn't know what noise giraffes made.

Hikaru frowned a little disappointed because they could not play with the giraffe, though thinking on that better they hadn't rings big enough to stick on the animal's neck. The little one looked once more at it not pretty sure what Drew was saying now, but not really caring about it either.
He thought for a second.. he could not play with him, but still he could say hello... right?
"KIKOOOO! KIKOOO!!!" he called out with both hands around his mouth hopping the animal would recognize him and say hello back "HI KIKOOO! HOLAAAA!" he waved his hands over his head.

The little kid seemed to figure it out on his own and Drew had to laugh again at Paquito's excitement. He seriously doubted that the giraffe would come to its name, even if it was named Kiko, but he was surprised when one of the smaller ones actually sauntered closer to the fence.
"Hey! Kiko!" Drew cried out despite the funny looks he was getting from the nearby mothers standing there with their kids. "Kiko! Come on over here!

Hikaru jumped of excitement on Drew's shoulders waving his hands hello to the giraffe that for him was just enormous. He had never thought in see a big alive Kiko and the fact that the animal had recognized him made him even more happy.
"Hola kikoooo!" he said very happy not caring about how loudly they were being. Tio Drew was indeed very fun to be with, more than being with daddy so far... of course not for that he would change daddy for Drew but still...
"Tio Dude, ale melo, melo!" he suggested Drew to feed candies to the Giraffe.

Some of the other people inched away from the tall young man with the baby on his shoulders. They were both acting a little crazy and many wondered if whatever they had was contagious.
"Kiko! Kiko! Come on fella!" Drew kept calliing, trying to urge the giraffe even closer. He wasn't exactly sure what Paquito was suggesting, but didn't know if the little guy would be able to explain in better. "What's that, kiddo? ¿Qué dices?"

"Melo!" he repeated and unable to explain it better he merely put his hand on Drew's mouth and signaled to giraffe again "eeel tem ambie.. comel! ale melo! pa su pansita" the boy tried again touching his own tummy. If it was possible he himself wanted to hand the food to the giraffe, feed him just the same way daddy feed Hikaru some times. He had to take care of the giraffe, just like daddy took care of him.
"ame melo!" he said to Drew already decided to feed the animal at any cost.
(OOc: He is hungry, give him a cady for his tummy. Give me candy!)

Drew still wasn't exactly sure what Paquito was saying, but he kind of got the gist. The kid was trying to tell Drew that the giraffe was hungry and wanted melos for himself and the giraffe. Drew really didn't think that the kid would like anything a giraffe would eat and doubted the giraffe would like the sweet stuff Paquito loved so much.
"¿Dulces? No son para jirafas," Drew answered sadly, still not sure that's what the little boy was asking about. "But how about we get something for us," he continued, pointing to the ice cream vendor nearby.

Hikaru looked clueless for a second at Drew wondering what on earth he meant with 'No son para jirafas'... he had given his Kiko toy so many candies in the past and Kiko liked it for what the boy could get. Perhaps because he never saw his daddy magically cleaning up the poor toy all covered in sticky melted jelly.
But as Tio Dude pointed the ice cream vendor, the boy totally forgot his previous worry for Kiko's feeding issues. His little tummy was first! First fill the own tummy!
"Ah! ah! ah!" he called out pointing at the ice cream man as well. "Yo quelo yo! yo! mmm... I wan? wan wan?" he asked, almost with a plead expression on his face to Drew, testing his english skills once more just so Drew would understand him quicker and move on now!

Drew had to laugh when the little kid on his shoulders got excited over the sight of the ice cream cart. The young man acting as horsie just hoped the kid didn't get too excited. Drew really didn't want an unwanted bath at that moment.
"¡Ay, olvido! ¡No le gusta helado!" Drew teased, slapping his own forehead before hopping over to the vendor and pulling his wallet out of his back pocket. "But you don't like ice cream! ¡No quieres!"
