The crowd was happy and loud and took almost no notice of the slender eleven year old who dodged among the mass of people, nor did they pay much attention to the more apologetic, less wild boy who weaved after the first, calling to her and asking her to stop.
Echo was enjoying leading her brother through the largest crowds she could find. She never went so fast she lost him but never slow enough for him to catch up. As she squeezed out of the mass of people in the middle of the street she grinned over her shoulder at her brother, who was still struggling to get out of the crowd. She waited until he was free and then in a few swift movements she had entered Knockturn Alley, a place they were both forbid to go.
“Hey, lets play hide and seek! Come on now! Come find me Zak!” With that she turned and bolted threw the much less dense crowd and deeper down into the alley until she found a nice little nitch between to stores and crammed herself into it.

“Echo! Wait up!” Zack pleaded as he chased after his sister. Of coruse his calls barely made it to his own ears, stifled by the noise of the crowd, his polite “excuse me, pardom me” ‘s probably went head by the people he was bumming into either.
As he emerged from the crowd it seemed the Echo had finally tired of the game for she was waiting for him, but something about her grin told him that he was only in for more trouble. And his suspicious were confirmed when she challenged him to come and find him before darting down Knockturn Alley before he could even try to stop her.
“Echo, wait. We’re going to get in trouble!” He called after he but she paid him no attention. He drew a deep breath for courage, not that he was scared of the alley itself so much as getting caught and handed over to his mother, and followed his sister.
