King's Cross Station was bustling, filled with witches, wizards, and muggles alike. The students heading off to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry pushed trolleys with trunks, had cages which enclosed owls, and a few pointedly stared at the groups that were unlike many seen before. Passersby watched interested as so many children with or without their families pushed loaded trunks, carried animals, and whispered among themselves, saying words like muggle.
The day outside had dawned a beautiful morning, full sun shining and cloudless. Skies as blue as the ocean, warm, and just the lightest of breezes touched the faces of those who dared to step outside.
One guard at the station noticed the odd occurrence for a couple of years, every September people came with trunks and animals and some even asked about a platform he'd never heard of. 9 3/4? How curious and funny they thought they were being, trying to pull one over on him.
No one noticed the disappearing bodies through the barriers between nine and ten. They were too distracted by their own actions to notice when a child, adult, ten people disappeared into thin air.
The clock struck quarter to 11, warning many of the quickly dwindling time still left for them to enter into the world known only to those who were lucky enough to be involved.
Upon passing through the barrier, one would be greeted by Aurors keeping watch over the students and their beloved families. Anything to protect them, especially before even making it to Hogwarts. Safety was the biggest issue this year, and the Ministry was taking any and all lengths to keep everyone safe.
Beyond the line of Aurors was the giant scarlet train that would take students from Platform 9 3/4 to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Students mingled, families crowded, some wide-eyed first years looked frightened, while others were grinning evilly at the thoughts of the pranks they could pull on this fresh batch of students.
It was going to prove to be an eventful day.
((All students new and old may begin posting! Prefects and Head Students should make sure everything goes smoothly and then report to the Student Leaders compartment.))

Jaden strode into Platform 9 3/4 without glancing around or even blinking as he stepped from the muggle world to the magical one. He quickly steered his cart out over to the train and loaded it in the storage rack above the seat where he would be sitting. He pulled out a sign that he had made only hours before arriving. In swirling red colors that appeared to be dripping blood the sign red "Pureblood only." He hung it on the door and sat down by the window. He stretched out over the seats and pulled out his wand. Spinning it casually he glued his eyes to the door, waiting for somebody to come in, ready to challenge them of there blood status. Though he would not mind being alone for the entire journey he also would not mind the company of a few purebloods.
He was dressed in black muggle slacks, a black t-shirt that had a hole forming near the bottom, and converse shoes. He could not wait to rid himself of these muggle clothes and put on his brand new uniform. It could wait for a little while though.

Another year meant more things, more changing. A new role in her school. New friends. New loses. A new commitment. And most of all, a new chance to start fresh. Matty Wentworth almost felt like a new person. And why shouldn't she? She had some of the best people in Hogwarts as her friends, and one, was considered to be more than a friend. What had happened over summer with Ryan had been... both interesting and enjoyable, but she didn't know if he really wanted to start anything with Matty. What if they had just as a fling? The girl put off these thoughts for now, as she had other things to think about. She felt as if she had finally... achieved something over these years. Although some didn't consider Quidditch Captain to be as important as Prefect, the Hufflepuff knew that as a Sports supporter, Quidditch Captain was vital in a team. The teenager had the same ritual since her second year, when September finally came. Pack her things the night before, so that when morning came, she wouldn't have to wake extremely early, and could simply eat breakfast, say goodbye to Daniel, and head off the the station.
This year the girl had mixed up things. Matty had gotten up early to pack her things, so that she could have breakfast with Daniel and his parents. There was nothing peculiar with this, as Daniel had been her friends since they were both six. She returned home in time to say goodbye to Ellie, as her stepmother had to work that morning, and traveled in the car with her dad and step brother. Jamie proved to be quite comforting, as Matty was a bit more anxious this year than she had been the last. What if she totally stuffed up the team? What if there wasn't enough players? What if she choked out, or got sick or injured? Time would just tell how things were to pan out for the fourteen year old.
The Wentworth family arrived at the station at ten forty-five, with some time to spare. Jamie insisted staying in the car, claiming to be 'too tired' to accompany his sister. Matty, however, knew that he was scared to have to run through a brick wall, in order to see her off properly. The fifth year drag him along with her trolley, cases, books and cat harnessed together, and showed him how to get through the barrier. Jamie was in awe when he reached the platform. Matty could only laugh at his stupidity, as she looked up at the clock, before glancing around for anyone she knew. No luck. She noted how most were still dressed for warmish weather. The girl had settled on her favourite gray denim cut-offs, a black tee-shirt, and a white jacket, sleeves pushed up. Her golden hair was held up in a loose pony tail, with a few pieces, including her bangs, falling out. Matty never made an effort for this day. Another day, another year.

Ryan knew that today was the day where he was going to be changed. No longer would he be the annoying, flirtatious, annoying, dumb, annoying and trouble making boy, but the sweet, studying, boyfriend type. PFFFT! Okay, so he had made that up. Bu the one thing he did know about the coming year at Hogwarts, was that it was going to be the best so far. He really wanted to see all his mates again, especially Matty, as her actually didn't hate her anymore. Even though in the boy's opinion he had been spending too much time with her, he also wanted to see Tianne again. This girl, she had an impact on the boy, a BIG ONE! He had been caught reading. Weird. Of course, Ryan practically lived with Seth over the holidays, so it was no biggy seeing that brother of his again.
Ryan pushed his cart to the platform 9. Of course Robbie was way behind him, followed by his mother and father. "Come on! I want to get on the train, and you're not going in there without me." "Honey, we're not coming in. We have to go, for Robbie's optometrist appointment. Bye Ryan." His mother said, as she hugged him tightly and smiled, and Robbie ruffled up his hair. The older boy put out his hand to shake, which Ryan naively took, before twisting his brothers hand up against his back. "Get off my you... Get off!" Ran said, punching his brother.
And of course, Robbie merely laughed. "Seeya kiddo." His dad said, ruffling his hair too. "Seeya dad. Bye mum." Ryan merely death stared his brother, and turned around, pushing his trolley through the barrier. The smell of the train made Ryan smile. He looked around at all the students and parents dressed in robes, making Ryan feel out of place. The boy, clad in muggle clothing, grinned awkwardly as he saw an older girl look him up and down and smile. "Hey," He said, moving away. Ryan was wearing blue and green board shorts, and a red tee shirt.
Boarding the train and walking along through the middle, the boy laughed out loud. "Purebloods only." He read. "Whatever." He continued, still smirking at the sign. The boy wandered to an empty compartment and sat down, holding his wand in one hand and his cockatiel cage in the other. Moe looked rather happy. But Ryan, he was alone. And bored. Wow, this was going to be a fun trip.

Tianne was mildly happy to be going back to Hogwarts. She didn't make a big deal ofthe fact that she was prefect, and in fact, she thought of it as being a rather bad choice. She couldn't wait to see Seth again, as she had been parted from her boyfriend for a bit, and Matty, her best friend, she had met up with a few times over the holidays, and of course Ryan, of whom she had heard had inherited her reading and writing techniques. Tianne missed them all so much, but she didn't really care that she was going to see them again. Sure, it was great and all, but he girl was more cut up about leaving her family again, especially after she had heard the great news from her parents.
Tianne smiled as she folded all her clothes. She packed all her books, and squished in all her supplies. In a smaller bag, the girl packed h lolly supply, that seemed to be quite extensive and a book, as well as her badge in the front pocket so that it didn't get scratched. Tianne hadn't had a big breakfast, as she was too nervous. The girl hugged Tanya and kissed her on the cheek, and then proceded to do the same with her mother. Her gave John a hug and said goodbye to them all, before walking out and loading the car up with her trunk and all her stuff.
She put her cat in its small travel hut, and grinned. As she got into the car, John joined her and passed back something towards her. "I promised you mother that I wouldn't give this to you, as she said that you wouldn't appreciate it, but I think you'll love it." It was a small box, that when Tianne opened, she found that it contained a diamond ring and earrings. "Oh my gosh!" She said, grinning with so much excitement. "Did this come from that lottery win a few weekends ago ?" She asked, before cloing the box and pocketing it. "Yeah, it did. Happy sixteenth and congrats on getting prefect." John said, closing the car door and starting the engine.
As Tianne pulled into the station, John glanced back at her. "How did you do that?" he asked, noticing that she was wearing her robes. "I can do many things." She erplied, grinning. "Thankyou, John. Love ya!" She said, pushing her trolley away. She had promised to meet Seth before boarding the train, so the girl stood at the barrier. Oh, she was so excited! Diamonds really are a girls best friend!

Matty looked around after another few seconds, becoming more and more eager to jump on that train without another word. The Hufflepuff's emotion must have seeped into her face, because at that moment, Cedric took her clammy hand in his own, and gave it a squeeze. "Matt, don't worry. You'll do fine this year," the man said, pulling her into a hug. "You should get going, so you get a good seat." he mentioned, nodding to wards the train. The girl kissed her father on his cheek, smiling. The man pushed her trolley closer to the train, recognising one of his usual customers and approaching them. Jamie wasn't really an affectionate boy, so Matty was kind of surprised when her step brother pulled his little sister into a hug. "Make sure you have being being Kidditch Capt'n, Matty." he said, quickly getting go when some heads turned at Matty's squeak of surprise. "Thanks, Jame. I'll have fun playing Quidditch for sure," she grinned, winking at him and going to her father. Cedric was just finishing up his small chat with another muggle father he knew, when the girl reached him. "Have a good year, and make sure you stay safe." her Dad said, and with that, Matty took her things and began to try and find a carriage with one of her friends, or an empty one.
She hoped that Seth, Ryan or Tianne weren't split up, though she doubted they would be. Matty started at one end, and made her way down to the other, checking for those whom she knew. The Hufflepuff, alike her Gryffindor friend, passed a sign with 'Purebloods only' and practically snorted with laughter. That was quite random, by her standards. But then again, she knew some people were touchy about these things, so didn't give the boy another look as she passed him. Eventually Matty found a carriage with a lone boy inside, though frankly, she couldn't have been more pleased. The girl pushed open the door, a smile on her face. "Nigel," she commented in a joking voice. The girl stacked her things in the designated places above the seats, letting Spunkey out of his cage to sit on top of her suitcase for now. "Hey Ry," the girl finally said, taking a seat next to the boy. She wasn't actually that sure where they stood at the moment, but it wasn't as if she was avoiding him, for the girl was sitting quite cozy next to the Gryff. She grinned at him, crossing her legs, and leaning forward a bit. "I bet your physiqued about the train trip, I can see you look hyped." Matty teased, in a joking away yet again.

Abby pulled her trunk along behind her, having been left at the entrance of the train station. She didn't mind, she knew her mum was busy. She had, however, hoped to see Lucas somewhere along the way. They'd finally met up in the summer and talked about things. It seemed like it had been the first time for Lucas to actually discuss Keith in depth the way they had. But it didn't matter because now Abby was at least a little closer to her cousin.
Arriving on the other side of the wall, Abby looked at the train waiting for the students to board and she smiled slightly. She liked Hogwarts, even though she hadn't really been there that long and didn't know too many people. Abby talked to the end of the train, looking around on the platform for Lucas. He might have already been there, so Abby boarded the train and began down the aisle. She noticed a sign outside one of the compartments and it actually made her laugh out loud. Daringly, she poked her head in the compartment. "Really?" she asked rather rhetorically, pointing to the sign, "You are too cool." She rolled her eyes and continued on, scoffing at the idiocy of it all. Abby noticed a familiar face in the next compartment and she smiled again, poking her head in that one as well.
"Hey Ryan," she greeted the boy, seeing another girl already in there. The Gryffindor flashed the girl a smile as well before turning to Ryan. "Mind if I join?" she asked.

Cameron had her trunk, her cat, and owl in hand as she made her way to the train. She already said her goodbyes to her family, and decided to get on the train atleast somewhat early to find a compartment to herself. Looking in every compartment, they were all filled. Cameron took a deep breath and continued looking before she finally found one. "Alright well.. here we are... all to myself for now.."Cameron whispered as she walked in and shut the door. She sat her animals in the chair beside her and looked out the window.
Cam was extremely excited to be going back to school. Biting her lip, she began playing with her fingers. Benji wasn't here though. It was kinda weird to be without him. She sighed at the thought of him. She missed him dearly, but obviously needed to move on from him. She frowned at the thought, but started to sing softly to get her mind off of him, and stared out the window.

It was his last year. So many memories have past and gone. It was his last year, and he might as well make the best for it. He remembered the first time he got onto this train. What a day that was. 7 years later, this is where he stands. He stared into wondering space still amazed. He was walking by himself this year. He looked around seeing many of the kids walking past him. Then he made it in.
Upon arriving, he had five minutes. He entered the Express and picked an empty compartment and threw his NEEDS inside and gave his trolley to the conductor. He then walked outside greeting everyone that walked in. He was going to stay and look after everyone until it was his time to go meet up with the other prefects.

Drew had come early to the platform, his cousin Jeremy following close behind. Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Mike had said their goodbyes on the other side of the entrance, mostly worried about repercussions for bringing a Muggle through to 9 3/4. Drew had assured them that Jeremy was safe with him. Stitll, as they tromped through the slowly filling platform, Drew kept his eye on his younger cousin, all the while looking for someone he knew. He caught sight of a few kids, but they had alreqady broken off into groups and Drew didin't want to disturb them to say hi. And speaking of disturbing. Drew saw the sign posted in the window and snorted. Some people... Quickly, the seventh year pulled his wand and flicked it at the sign, neatly changing the letters to read: Buttheads only "Come on," Drew called over his shoulder to Jeremy, now nervous about leaving the second year on his own. "Let's find you a good compartment, okay?"

Kopo felt absolutely ridiculous pushing her trolley through King's Cross Station, it was as tall - or perhaps a little taller - as she was. Her mother trailing behind her kept asking she wanted help pushing the heavy cart but she refused and plowed on. They came to the barrier between 9 and 10, she knew how to get onto 9 3/4 thanks to going to first year orientation. She hugged her mom, who set Cecilia down so she could give her a proper hug back. K.C. picked up Cee and gave her hug before handing her back to her mom. "Be careful, sweaty. Don't get into any trouble and try not to get in any fights. Oh, send me a letter every week!"
Kopo laughed and promised she would write frequently and said a final goodbye. "Ready, Borommakot?" She whispered to her barn owl who hooted in reply. She lined up the trolley and pushed it forward. In moments she on the other side, the platform was full of hooting, speaking, talking, and running bodies. She pushed her trolley over to the train and was faced with a problem. How on earth was she to get it up? She climbed into the train and yanked at it but couldn’t get it over the rim. She should not have brought so much stuff!
Sighing with frustration she turned and looked around. She hopped back off the train and –hopping that nobody would try to steal it- ran over to the nearest person and asked, “Hey, can you help me get my trunk onto the train?”

Maddy was so happy to be going tback to Hogwarts. Her first year, although it had started out a bit odd, you know, with the whole 'firsties running away' incident, but the rest of it had been absolutely perfect. She had made a new best friend, and she had met a lot of people too. Some had come and gone, like Summer and Sally, but Maddy and Jet were as close as friends can be. The young girl was glad that she wasn't bestfriends with a girl, as she just wasn't the girly type. Maddy much preferred football and mud to dolls and makeup, but that was just the kind of girl that she was.
Maddy flicked her blonde hair out of her face. "Seeya Ezz. Seeya Jord." She said, giving each of her siblings a hug. She was going to miss them, even though they had both gotten on her nerves a lot during the time she was back home. As the family walked up to the platform, Maddy giggled. "I can't believe summers over already, I can't wait to get back to Hogwarts." She said, leaning over to Eryn. The girl had her cat in it's little carry-box thing, as she knew that she'd want to bring that on the train with her, but the rest of her things were packed away in her trunk.
The previous year, Maddy had made the typical mistake, she ha brought way too many things, but as she was going into her second year, she knew never to make that horrible mistak again. As she boarded the train, she noticed a girl who seemed to have done he same thing as Maddy had done. She couldn't get her stuff in. Maddy grinned at the girl and helped her pull her trunk onto the Train. It was hard work, even for the second year, but they managed. "There ya go. Are you a first year?" She asked, as she wasn't sure if she was meant to recognise the girl.

This was not only humiliating, but a downright dirty trick for his things to weigh so much when crammed inside of his trunk. How was he supposed to get his trunk on the train when he could barely lift one end of it? He'd yelled, screamed, wiped the sweat off his brow, kicked the corner and swore he broke his toe, but it wouldn't budger. The stupid nlighter. And his new double-ended newt tucked safely in his pexiglass cage was what Brent was most worried about inside his trunk. Even the new broom his mum had saved every last penny for during his summer break and had done quadruplet shifts at the spoon factory for wasn't as important as his new friend.
For over an hour Brenton sat outside in the beautiful weather on his trunk waiting for somebody, anybody to help him. He hadn't even seen his best mate Jeremy, not once this summer or even now and it was almost time for the train to leave and he was still stuck outside. None of the girls he knew had even passed him by. Though, he supposed he'd see them all better if he wore his glasses, which he refused to do and they still sat in back pocket.
He even watched as one of the girl's from his class helped another little girl having troubles. And yet no one would help him, a Prince? What was this world coming to?
It was almost panic time. No one was helping him with his trunk and his entire life was stowed away inside it. The broom he hadn't had that he told Claire he had, his double-ended newt, his books, his wand, everything!
"Can I get some help please?" he called outloud to no one in particular. Why was he such a weakling? No, stop that he told himself. You are not a weakling, you are frail, petite, but it runs in your royal blood to be that way. That made him feel better.

Ryan stared out the window. His mother, father and Robbie were probably long gone, and he was by himself on the train to Hogwarts. Yeah, with the old Ryan, that would have been absolutely brilliant, the fact that his family were no-where to be seen, and there wasn't girls flooding around him, but now-a-days he was changed, and loved having company. He missed all his mates, Tianne, Matty, Seth and Abby, but that was okay. He knew that he'd get to see them really soon, even if one of them couldn't stay for long. Darn that Tianne and her darn prefect badge. Ryan knew he would get one, but he was worried for Seth. What if that made them drift apart?
Of course, that was none of Ryan's business. The boy continued to stare out the window, and as he was joined by Matty he smiled at her. "How ya doing?" He said, no pick-up-line intended. He just wanted to know how she was, was that too much to ask for? The boy didn't know what to say to the girl after their Ireland fling, as he didn't know if its was still standing. "Oh, it's going to be the best... ever." Ryan remarked, sarcasrtically, just as Abby, his friend from the kitchens entered the compartment. "Hey. Matty this is Abby, and Abby well, yeah, you know. Yeah, that's cool, take a seat." Ryan sat up and forward a bit. "How have your holidays been?"

Much to her relief an older girl helped her heave the trunk onto the train. Kopo guessed she was twelve or thirteen but she was still was much taller than K.C. was. "Thanks and yeah, I am a first year." She dragged her trunk a little further into the train so it was out of the way, then retrieved her owl from the trolley which she pushed out of the way of the door before returning to her trunk and offering her free hand to the older girl. "I'm K.C., nice to meet you." She hopes all the people were as friendly as she appeared to be and knew that they were not.
