Matty smiled at the boy as he asked her how she was. It was nice to see that Ryan still had his, well, touch? The Hufflepuff smiled, relaxing back into her seat, before answering. "I'm good, thanks. A bit nervous, how about you?" she returned his question. 'Oh, it's going to be the best... ever.' when the boy returned her remark, Matty giggled a bit, grinning and shaking her head. It was kind of a surprise when another girl, who seemed to know Ryan, entered their carriage. Matty didn't know her, but had probably briefly seen her somewhere around Hogwarts, as she looked their age. As Ryan introduced her as Abby, Matty nodded and said "Hey Abby, nice to meet you." although, in the back of her head, there was still the thought of "Ryan couldn't have moved on already, could he?" she desperately hoped not. The girl was hoping to talk to him about 'stuff' before they were joined by the others, but she guessed that would have to wait until Hogwarts.
The girl kept a polite smile on her face, even as she thought. Abby seemed like a nice girl, so she wasn't going to judge her or anything. As Ryan asked bout the holidays, Matty assumed he was posing that question on the new-comer, as the Hufflepuff had spent a majority of her holidays with Ryan. Instead, the girl's green eyes looked out the winder at all the hustle and bustle of students, new and old.

"Hey," Abby greeted the girl with another smile. She hauled her stuff into the compartment with a grunt and pushed her trunk over to the side. She looked at the two of them sitting so close to each other and wondered if they were an item. That was a rather disheartening sight for Abby, considering she had developed a slight crush during her first meeting with Ryan. Shrugging it off, she sat down opposite them and smiled again. "Holidays were good, thanks," she answered happily, "How were yours?"

Back on the Hogwarts Express. Connor hadn’t missed the long train ride, having made it several weeks previously for the First Year Orientation. He was surprised to find that he had a rather good time at the orientation. He met some of the incoming first years and was even looking forward to getting to know a few of them. He still didn’t know which of them would end up in Slytherin, but was rather excited to discover whom would be joining the ranks.
His parents and sister had come to the train station to send him off, all having taken the day off of work for this occasion. He didn’t like to admit that it was a big deal to him but he did appreciate the fact that they came to see him off. Connor turned back to his parents. “ Be good, okay? Don’t get into trouble, “ His dad said as Connor gave the man a hug. He reached up to ruffle the sixth year’s hair. Connor knocked his hand away with a grin and said, “ I’ll be fine dad. “ Both the Manning males smiled as Connor turned towards his mother and gave her a hug. “ ‘Bye mum. I’ll write and let ya know what’s going on. “ He reassured her with a smile. She was always afraid that he would lose contact with her once he left for school. It never happened, but she still feared it.
Finally he made his way over to his sister and gave her a hug. “ Be good, kid. Pay attention in school, be good, yada yada yada. And have fun! “ Connor shook his head as his sister droned on. He grinned back over to her and said, “ Yeah, I got it. See you all! “ He said with a wave as he turned from his family. It wasn’t goodbye, only ‘ until I see you again.’
Connor turned away from his family and started walking towards the barrier between platforms 9 and 10. He had been about to enter it when he spotted a disheveled looking kid trying to move his trolley. ‘ Can I get some help please? ‘ The manner in which the boy asked for help was almost pitiful and Connor left his own trolley to the side of the platform and walked over to the lad. “ Need some help mate? “ He questioned, looking down to the figure. He looked familiar to Connor. Maybe he was in the same house as him? Something like that.

Ryan actually felt bad for Abby. Of course, Ryan had a crush on his fellow Gryffindor, but now with Matty in the picture, all thoughts of that had been abolished. The boy looked at the dark haired girl, wondering what could have been, but changed his attention to Matty. She seemed almost... worried. But there was no reason for the girl to be. Ryan really liked Matty, and hopefully she liked him back. But he didn't know if they were 'dating' or not. Turning back to Abby, Ryan smiled at her answer. "Mine were great. I got to go back home., gladly, I so miss Ireland. It's wonderful there, have you ever been?" Ryan was trying to eliminate the awkwardness, but he knew that there was nmo point, as as soon as Seth and Tianne walked in, they'd be buzzing. Where were they though... Had they gotten a compartment on their own?

Drew had come early to the platform, his cousin Jeremy following close behind. Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Mike had said their goodbyes on the other side of the entrance, mostly worried about repercussions for bringing a Muggle through to 9 3/4. Drew had assured them that Jeremy was safe with him. Still, as they tromped through the slowly filling platform, Drew kept his eye on his younger cousin, all the while looking for someone he knew. "Come on," Drew called over his shoulder to Jeremy, now nervous about leaving the second year on his own. "Let's find you a good compartment, okay?" Jeremy stuck close to his older cousin. If Drew was big and important as a prefect, it followed that he must be bigger and importanter as a Head Boy. The train station was crowded and crowds made the new second year nervous. It was just more people to push him and hit him and tease him. That was why it was especially good to stay near Drew. Jeremy saw the sign and shrugged up even closer to Drew. Jeremy knew there were people like that around, but also knew there were more people who didn't think those things. Drew suggested a compartment, but that just made Jeremy more nervous. How did he know if it was for pure-bloods or not? Drew had changed the sign, but that didn't change the attitude. The small Ravenclaw caught sight of Brenton, but didn't call out to him, didn't go up to say hi. The Slytherin was talking to someone else that Jeremy didn't know.

"Yeah, I have, actually," Abby answered truthfully, remembering the time she'd visited the country, "I went with my dad once when I was little." She smiled slightly at the memory. It was a good one; that had been a great trip. It was just her and her dad. She missed those little things they used to do together and knowing she would never have it again...
Abby had to stop and think about something else. She flashed the two another smile, pulling her legs up and crossing them. Abby turned her attention to Matty. "What House are you in?" she asked the girl.

This was one of the first times in Anna's life where she had to take the underground just to get to Kings Cross station. Not exactly the best feeling in the world to have a whole bunch of muggles staring when her family boarded the train, especially at the large trunk, unusually shaped packages and a cat bouncing about in its cage. Though Anna just had to ignore it until the proper stop was announced. Thank goodness it was only mum, dad and Erik with her, if auntie Philips decided to come along for the ride there would be non-stop complaints all the way there. But the wonderful feeling of stepping into Kings Cross was on of the best the gryffie felt all summer.
"Anna, go through first with your brother." her father announced. "Your mother and I will follow." However once through the sight of aurors immediatly greeted the girl's eyes. Erik had mentioned something like this but it still felt strange to see so many in one place. Looking around, the rest of platform nine and three quarters was the same as ever with the scarlett train waiting to take students back to Hogwarts. Just thinking about it made the incoming sixth year excited as she said farewell to her parents and proceeded on board.
Wow, it was her sixth year already. The years were just flying by, only one more year to go and they would kick her out into the real world. Wether that was a good thing or bad was still undecided but might as well enjoy these last couple of years. Not only that but Anna had been made Gryffindor Quidditch Captain which was still a shocker. She practically jumped around the house in excitement after recieving her badge. Coming out of her thoughts, the girl continued down one of the trollies until she could find an empty compartment.

Having arrived a bit early due to her mum's orders, Felicity all ready had a compartment saved for herself, and anyone who wished to join her. The blonde had left Sammy, her squirrel, and Dustan, her new elf owl her mum gave her for making Prefect (though she didn't feel she deserved it) to guard the compartment until she came back. Sammy could fend for himself and Dustan was showing to be a bird with an attitude, but did he dearly love Felicity. The thing was only a few months old and he was absolutely adorable; brown with darker brown speckles and a bit of white in his feathers too. His eyes were a golden honey that were lighter than Felicity's eyes.
The reason her mum said she had to be early was so she could patrol and make sure everyone was right comfortable and all right, also so if someone needed help she could help them. But as she wandered down the train, mostly keeping an eye for someone she would know, Felicity spotted something that didn't look very nice at all. There was a sign with the words: Buttheads Only on the compartment door.
Either someone was being mean to a person or group of students, or someone wasn't thinking very highly of themselves that day.
Pulling down the sign, the Prefect knocked on the door before nudging it open just a crack. "Excuse me?" she called in quietly, seeing only one person in the entire compartment. "I found this on your door and I highly doubt it's supposed to be there, I was just letting you know I took it down."
Holding the sign up for the boy to read the words on the paper, Felicity tried a small smile. Hopefully he wouldn't be too saddened that someone was being mean.

Drew wasn't sure what to do, knowing he had a job he should be doing, but not about to leave Jeremy to fend for himself. As the small second year slunk closer, Drew instinctively grabbed the boy's collar, a safety measure more than anything else. Times were dangerous now, but that sign had really put Drew on edge.
No way, he wasn't about to let Jeremy out of his sight unless he trusted the person. If that meant the second year had to sit in on the Prefect meeting, then so be it.
"Who's your buddy talking to?" Drew asked, nodding over to the kid he now knew was Brenton. Drew recognized the older boy as the Slytherin prefect, but didn't really know the guy.

Well duh was all Brent could think of. Why else would be calling out for help? He wasn't a damsal in distress, he saved damsals in distress. But at least someone had turned an ear to his calls, Brenton had tried and tried to lift his trunk onto the train, but he just oculdn't do it. It was much too heavy for a boy of Brent's size to be lifting. Why did they have to bring so much stuff to school? What was wrong with just a few things here and there?
"Yes, please," Brenton said as politely as possible. He was a Prince and a Prince needed to maintain proper connections and be polite to those who had not yet shown themselves to be royalty, nobility, or rubbish yet. He was betting this boy was rubbish with all of the junk in his face (assuming he's wearing his rings), but he had to be polite. "I can't quite lif' this on my own."

"I don't know him," Jeremy answered sullenly, feeling safe with the hold Drew had on him. He wasn't stupid enough to go running off, but it was nice to know that Drew wasn't going anywhere either.
Especially since Jeremy had seen that rock-throwing girlfriend of his get on the train. Jeremy neglected to mention that he had caught sight of the blonde Gryffindor as Drew continued to look for something or other. "Are we going to get a room thing?" he asked, hoping Drew would still stay close.

Connor nodded as the boy mentioned that he couldn’t lift the trunk on his own. He was a rather small lad but Connor placed him at around a second year or so.
“ Here, “ He said, helping to lift the trunk onto the train where it was supposed to go. “ Yeh all right then? “ Connor asked the boy now once he had finished putting the trunk up. It was rather heavy and Connor couldn’t help but wonder what the kid had decided to pack in there. Bodies? It was a comical thought in his mind, but he wouldn’t have mentioned it out loud to anyone. Things were getting weird lately and Connor didn’t want anyone thinking he was up to something he shouldn’t be. He stuffed his hands back into his pockets as he peered down at the boy, glad he had already taken care of all of his things such as making sure his trunk was already on the train.

Alfonz walked beside his younger sister, keeping her company as she made her way to the train. He’d made the journey once or twice before with her, however, most of the times he had been already at Durmstrang or on his way there to do so while he was in school. This time, however, it was more a favor he was doing for his parents to get Celina on the train. He himself, however, would not be riding on the train. He was going to apperate to Hogsmeade later, and walked to the castle from there. Much better than riding for so long on a train with children he didn’t even want to think about conversing with.
“Got everything?” he asked Celina, looking down at her. “You know, we could have shrunken your items at the apartment. Then you wouldn’t have to carry anything and…where’s Emerald?” Alfonz asked looking all over the place.
Through the barrier and into all the hustle and bustle Alfonz sighed, a bit irritated like, glad again that he wouldn’t be riding on train.

Celina clung to her trunk and passed through the barrier rolling her eyes slightly at her brother. “Yes, but if I shrunk everything, then it wouldn’t be fair and I would look weird.” She sighed, not understanding how Alfonz couldn’t just do something manually for once. Plus, would it even work if she shrunk it? Or would the barriers magic enlarge everything? Celina couldn’t imagine that happening…what a mess of her new robes that would be!
“Emerald’s right there,” Celina said pointing in front of them. It was as if she was looking for something. It was odd behavior for Emerald, but Celina rarely questioned what behavior for Emerald was not unusual.
“Ok, so I’ll meet you at Hogwarts then?” Celina asked her older brother.

So finally the new year was about to begin! Claire had already had her things packed about a week before counting down the days until she would leave on the Hogwarts Express. Summer vacation had been fun while at grandma and grandpa's house but almost completly lonely at home since her parents were always at work. In fact today grandpa was accompaning the young Slytherin today since yet again mum and dad vanished to the ministry.
"Alright sweetie, have a good term and don't forget to write!" grandpa said hugging his grandaughter. "Please don't cause too much trouble this year. "Papa, me? Cause trouble? Never in a thousand years!" Claire smiled innocently. But the old man would never fall for that one. "Just behave and keep up your grades." he continued messing up her short her in his usually manner. "Go on, get a seat before they have to tie you up on the roof."
Boarding the scarlett engine, Claire dragged up her trunk and proceeded down the trolley until she could find someone she knew. Not too much fun if you had to go through the ride on your own right?
