Feeling slightly confused, Felicity didn't know why he'd want to dance with another girl, and she really didn't understand why he'd dance with a girl who had a boyfriend all ready, but his arms remained around her and she felt a little better. However, she didn't understand still. It didn't make sense, didn't he want to spend the dance with her? Closing her eyes when he played with her hair, she sighed happily when the warmth of his kiss touched her and brown eyes reopened when he released her enough to step away.
A faint blush touched her cheeks when she realized what he'd meant before. He hadn't been talking about someone else, which was a relief, but she felt a little sheepish now. Nodding, the blonde bit her lip nervously, loving the idea that he'd soon be holding her again, just close enough that hopefully she'd be able to inhale his scent easily.
"Yes," she spoke softy, feeling her smile beam even more than it had. She was getting closer to getting her gift from him.

Tallulah blushed at what Dante said. She still would feel bad about not getting him anything. it was just who she was. Light brown eyes glanced away for a second, then back to her present. It was truly an amazing gift for him to give her. She took a step forward and leaned in, giving him a kiss on the cheek. She pulled away, blushing even more. This wasn't usual for her, these actions. She felt like a new person, someone she actually liked. Her body felt like jelly as she moved back. Tallulah couldn't look Dante in the eyes. She felt like a thirteen year old finally speaking to the boy she liked.
“So what would you like to do first? Grab a table, get some food, a drink, dance? Or we can stay here and talk some more.”
She looked over the party, seeing nothing was really happening. Finally able to look at Dante she looked back at the party. "Lets grab a seat and we can talk there." Her smile was sheepish and slightly embarrassed. The fact she kissed him on the cheek was still floating around her mind. She made sure she had a firm grip on the box of candies, she didn't want to drop it. Her eyes went back to Dante. She wished she could tell him how happy she was to be at the dance with him, but the words stuck in the throat. These words might set her free, let her be the person she wanted. Not the girl she was forced to be. With that thought she felt defeated.
She wouldn't show it. No, she wouldn't ruin Dante's night with her insane thought about her life. Everything there was a chaotic mess and she had no say in it. Biting her lip she took a step toward the tables. Stopping she turned back to Dante and gave him a smile. She held out her arm for him to come with her. He really was a great guy. Yet another thing she wanted to tell him. There was so much. But not now, not ever maybe. Her smile faltered a little, her mind clouding. Her forced those thoughts out of her mind quickly, letting sunny thoughts back in. "I think I see a good table."

She looked absolutely adorable biting her lip and Drew couldn't take his eyes off of her as he led her to the center of the dance floor. There were a few people dancing already, but Drew didn't really notice them anymore than he cared if it was a slow song or not. He intended to hold her very close either way.
He gently swung her out and twirled her under his arm once before pulling her in close and placing his hand on the small of her back, leaning in and smelling her hair. For a moment there, he had gotten a deja vu of being cold in the newspaper office and remembered that being vague and beating around the bush didnt' always work. He needed to tell her exactly what he was thinking. "You look amazing," he said softly as he moved slowly against her. "And you smell really good..."

With his pretty blue eyes locked on her, Felicity didn't mind just studying his fact and trying not to fall over herself as he lead her out to the floor. When he spun her out and around, Felicity giggled, loving the effects it had on her stomach. he had never been a very good dancer, knew she'd stepped on Drew's feet before when trying to dance with him, but she was glad he hadn't stopped. Even after the previous year after their dance outdoors, things were all right afterwards, it took time, but they were all right.
When he pulled her close, she felt her stomach go wild with the release of a new batch of butterflies. How could he do that to her? Drew was only holding her close and he made her feel like she was floating through the air. Moving even closer to Drew when he held her close, Felicity could feel him lean in closer to her. And when he complimented her, telling her what he thought, she tightened her grip around him, not wanting to ever let him go.
"I'm not very dressed up," she pointed out, telling him something that bugged her a little. But when he told her she smelled nice, she smiled. Felicity was very glad her mum made her use vanilla, feeling it was better for her because of how hyper she could get, calming her down. Drew liked it.

Drew had never heard of the calming effects of vanilla, but he did know that when he held her close, it was both relaxing and exciting at the same time. He wasn't sure how that managed to work out, but her smell and the feel of her in his arms made him feel confident and still strangely vulnerable.
"I think you look incredible," he told her, sighing happily against her and getting lost in his own giddiness. "I like the red sweater... it matches my tie..."

"Man I must be desperately board if I'm going this" Jason said said to himself walking into the great hall. After getting busted trying to sneak butter beer into the common room and handed a weeks worth of detention he decided to throw something semi nice on and head down to the dance for a little bit. A pair of black dress pants a black dress shirt with a cobalt blue tie.
Jason walked in and looked around, people were already dancing. He saw a few people he knew. He saw Drew dancing with his girl, and a few others form the dorm. He smiled. he spotted Vanessa, the girl he met from Hufflepuff that he met the other day. He walked over to her
"Hey Vanessa" he said with a smile

As Vanessa continued to watch all of the people dance and as she turned her head, she noticed someone she recognized started coming her way. Her smile widened slightly as she realized that it was Jason. The guy from her year that resided in Ravenclaw who she suspected hadn't walked as he said he was out to do the other day because he'd spotted her. Just the thought of that made her cheeks redden slightly as she took a sip of her pumpkin juice to distract herself.
As Jason got in range enough to speak, he greeted her and Vanessa took her glass down from her face and smiled sheepishly. "Oh, hi there," Vanessa said. "Some event, eh?" she asked the boy. "I just love the atmosphere."

Jason grabbed a butter beer of the table and twisted the cap off and turned to Vanessa.
Jason smiled took a sip out of the bottle and looked at it then looked at her "Yeah its not too bad, though I'm not one much for going to dances" he said smiling. He took another sip out of his bottle. He looked out over the floor where people were dancing. "But I got so board in the dorm I couldn't bear it" he said looking over to her. "That and getting handed a weeks worth of detention for sneaking a case of butter beer in the common room, i figured this would keep me outa trouble" he said laughing a little.

Vanessa giggled as Jason boasted slightly about his detentions. He seemed like he wanted to be such a bad kid and it was kind of funny because Vanessa could tell, even from their brief encounters, that he seemed nice. "Well, you're right. Being here is better than getting into too much trouble." Again, she took a sip of her juice and nodded her head. "I was a bit bored too, I guess," she admitted looking around. "I figured that watching and experiencing something fun would probably be better than just sitting around." And yet, Vanessa liked to do that too, so either way she would have been content.
The music picked up slightly and Vanessa found herself tapping her black booted foot, and tilting her head to and fro to the beat of the music. "So, where did you find a whole case of butter beer to even sneak in?" Vanessa asked the ravenclaw. Surely he hadn't also snuck down to Hogsmeade or something...

"Thank you," she told him when he kept complimenting her. It was nice that he told her things like that when she really knew she didn't look that great. Felicity was excited he liked how they'd accidentally matched, though she figured it wouldn't be hard to really do given the occasion. She pretty much matched a lot of people, at least colour wise. And his tie did the same, but she liked that he seemed focused on the fact they matched, and not that they matched others, too.
"I think you look really nice as well," she complimented him, snuggling closer while trying to keep in beat with his movements. Though, being who she was, she had a rather one-tracked mind. "You're really not going to even give me a little hint? Like the colour, or the shape, or anything?"

Jason grinned slightly he had snuck it out of the kitchen when the order came in from Hogsmead and he swiped it when no one was looking, the only reason he got cought was the elf's saw him and ratted him out. He was gona save the stuff for after the guys got back form the dance, and start a small party in the common room.
"I Swiped a case from the kitchen when no one was looking and the house elf's saw me" he said taking another sip "I was gonna start a party when the guys got back form the dance but, seeing is how i got cought..." Jason laughed and shrugged " It happens"

Vanessa giggled. It happened. She agreed; such was life it seemed. Nodding her head, her smile was still wide as she caught some more people coming into the dance. She watched all the people her dress swinging slightly as she turned to look at the crowd. Turning back toward Jason, Vanessa opened her mouth slightly. "So..." she started and wasn't sure exactly what to say. He was drinking his drink and Vanessa was sipping her own, and she really didn't know what else there was to do. "...was it going to be a surprise party for your house? Or juts the guys?" sticking out her tongue slightly, she shook her head, rolling her eyes playfully.

Chris felt very out of place stepping into the Great Hall and seeing everyone else with someone by their side. It fueled his disliking for the holiday completely, but a sentimental side crept in as he took a good look around. Everyone seemed pretty content - one might venture to say that they were happy even - and they certainly all looked smashing. He'd never seen his or any other house clean up so well as they had here. That sentimental side was like a drug with bad lacing... it took Chris whole. No prisoners.
Luckily, when times got tough for young Nagle, he could always rely on his handy dandy shades to mask any emotions his eyes might betray. Sticking his hand into his coat pocket, Chris felt around for the shades. They'd never let him down before. His fingers twitched around in the pocket, their membranes telling him they'd close around the shades. Nothing. Maybe they were in his pants pocket? He withdrew his hand and reached into his right hand pocket. Nothing. Left side, then. Nothing. Nothing? These were cool-shot-Christian-Nagle's-handy-dandy-cover-all-emotion shades! They'd never let him down before... well before now. Oh how awkward Chris felt, standing there, groping in his pockets for the shades that had evaded him. He tried the coat pocket once more, the dying fleeting hope that he'd rushed his search clinging to the inevitabilty that the shades just weren't with him. When the re-search of his coat pocket turned up empty, of course, Chris made the mental confirmation that this was going to be the worst Valentine's Day Ball ever known to Wizards and he was, regrettably, a main character in it.
He turned to go back to his room and get the shades... a silly idea that he had second guessed many times before this fated moment, but had, nonetheless, chosen to choose. If he happened to choose not to return to the Ball - so be it.

Jason grinned slightly "Who knows, who ever wanted to join us i guess" Jason said half laughing. "Besides that i could almost guarantee that we would get yelled at, but it wouldn't be me getting yelled at, the head boys the one that takes all the rap"
Jason thought about what Drew would say to him if he got Drew yelled at. Drew would probably tear him a new one for it. Jason chuckled a bit
"any way, it wouldn't be the first time I got us yelled at" Jason said with a grin

Tianne really wasn't sure if she even wanted to go to the dance. After Seth's departure, she hadn't been up to doing much that involved couples, and really, Valentines dance was seeming to be a rather bad thing. She didn't want to seem bitter or cranky towards Seth, she really just wanted him to come back. It had been a while since he left, and Tianne was almost over him, she just didn't want to test herself, even though she was branching out, in her own opinion, by trusting herself to do this. It wasn't going to be easy, but with any luck, she'd find a friend to talk to. It took Tianne what seemed like forever to finally decide on her attendance of the dance. There were many pros, but of course, there were a lot of cons. Firstly for the pros, it would help her get over her issues, she'd have a good time, and it was a good opportunity to meet new people, but for the cons, she was tired, she had homework, and she was already running late. The dance would have started, and Tianne was still sitting there in her pyjamas, debating with herself. She knew it was too late to go... ... But was it? Couldn't shejust get ready quickly and make her way down to the hall? There would be so many people there, no one would even notice her late entrance. She had been to a few dances before, she couldn't not go to it, that would be like letting your football team down because you were late to get to the ball. It would be like not going to bed at all, just because you stayed up a bit late watching a movie. It was pointless, Tianne's tardiness didn't even matter... ... But Tianne didn't want people to notice her. It was the working of an immature and insecure teenager, her mind going a mile a minute. Her head was spinning with the arguments, her foot tapping the floor in a nervous way, a way that just seemed to be frustrating the brunette more and more it happened. Shaking her head, to seemingly rid her head of the thoughts that were bugging her, Tianne stood up, the pile of parchment and a couple of books falling to the floor as she did so. "Thats it." She said, in a conclusive sort of way. "I'm going, tardy or not." She grinned, although there was no one there to hear what she had decided. Clearing the parchment that now lay on the floor under the bed with her foot, Tianne opened her cupboard. She had a few dresses for this sort of occasion, but what one to wear. There was three that she liked, but she didn't know what one was most suiting. The first and second, as nice as they were, were both too short, and Tianne felt that she didn't want to wear that kind of outfit. Cream and Black were probably less noticeable than the third one, but she was happy to do that/ That basically left the third and last dress, a long one reaching to her ankles, covering her feet from the sight of others. Hanging loosely down on her small stature, Tianne knew that it needed something else, something that wasn't part of the outfit, a change. Picking up a thin black belt, the brunette tightened it around her waist, accentuating her figure. The dress was quite colourful, compared to the other two, but that was okay. She didn't want to make an entrance however, but she didn't think that anyone was going to take any notice of her. They'd all be busy dancing, hopefully anyways. Leaving her hair the way it was, pulled up messily, the curls hanging down, Tianne didn't touch anything else. She didn't do her makeup, she didn't have any one whatsoever, the only thing she had to add to the costume was her shoes. She wore a pair of silver sandals, without the heel, and she was ready to go. Walking down at a rather fast pace, in order to avoid being any later, Tianne found herself at the entrance quicker than she had imagined. Pushing herself into the hall, Tianne stood at the doors, in awe of what she saw. The hall was beautiful, the girls outfits, the boy's as well. They all looked so happy, and Tianne couldn't help but feel that she was intruding on that. Turning around, Tianne walked back out the door and to the side, taking a seat on one of the chairs that sat there. She couldn't do this, she couldn't have people see her. [ Tianne's Dress ]
