"You didn't feel it?" Drew asked, and he paused his swaying motion for a moment, just gaxing up at the sky and anticipating the arrival of even one more rain drop to prove that he hadn't imagined it. He glanced at her checking the sky as well and couldn't help but think how cute she looked with her face upturned like that. He was tempted to kiss her, but didn't want to break the vision.
"Maybe it was a bird?" he suggested with a slight tease. Kind of gross, but it was the only other way he could think of to explain the moisture he felt.

“We can debate who the lucky one is later,”
Everything he said to her made her melt in her shoes. Something about the mixture of his voice and the words he chose really made a powerful potion that Tallulah had no antidote. Their bodies danced around the floor in perfect harmony, on time with the music. It was if they were attached to strings and someone was pulling everyone around the floor. Their movements were in perfect sync with everyone else's.
“We can debate who the lucky one is later,”
Looking up at Dante she smirked at him. His answer made her think. She could debate all night how she was really the lucky one in this relationship, but her better sense told her not to. Her smirk turned itself into a smile as she danced along with him. Tallulah would let his statement flow to the back of her mind. No need to argue now, not on their first evening of being in a relationship.
Tallulah noticed the faster song turned into yet another slow one. She liked the pace of the slower dances. They seemed more personal, easier to dance to also. She reveled in the closeness of the song that was playing now. Tallulah thought this would be a good time to ask Dante a question about himself. Though they had spent a good deal of time together in the past few weeks she still had tons of questions for him.
"What would your perfect day be?" She knew this was a weird and slightly out of place question. To her it seemed like the best one she could ask. Their previous questions had been about music, home life, and school. She wanted to know about who he was truly on the inside.

"No..." she answered, shaking her head slowly, barely noticing that he'd stopped dancing. When his arms were around her, she didn't pay much attention to anything else, well, except him, but she hardly noticed anything they were doing or what was going on around them, as long as it was just the two of them. With her brown eyes flitting over the dark sky, she didn't see any of the clouds letting loose on her. But when he suggested that it could have been a winged creature, she wrinkled her nose in response. She doubted it was, though, couldn't very well say it wasn't either.
Lowering her gaze down to Drew's face, she smiled and shook her head. "I don't know, I haven't felt any rain." What she did feel though was his arms still around her and she moved a bit closer, nestling against him. "It looks like rain, and it smells like rain, so maybe...but I haven't felt any yet."
And just as she said it, the blonde, too, felt the small pitter patter of raindrops falling slowly from the sky.

[ I didn't quote the other few posts, as it took up too much room, but this is to Jeremy and Layla ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ] Burying her head in her hands as she leaned forward, Tianne sighed. She probably shouldn't have come, she should have just stayed in the common room, doing absolutely nothing. She should have drifted off to sleep a long time before she had made the decision to come. It was stupid of the girl to think that she'd actually have a good time. It was foolish to have thought that she would have been wanted, now that Seth was gone, wasn't it kind of pointless to go to the Valentines Day dance? But although Tianne was mentally debating with herself to just stand up and leave and pretend she didn't even try to come, she wanted to stay. To be honest, Tianne had just hoped that someone had wanted her there, but noone had seemed to have come to rescue her from the cold, she felt more alone than she ever really had. She didn't feel like she had loads of friends like she did at some points, but Tianne knew that it could still happen, someone could still come to say hello, or at least invite her back into the hall. And almost immediately after the girl had thought it, she spotted Layla, an incredibly nice seventh year, that Tianne was positive she was going to miss once the end of the year came. Smiling as she was greeted, Tianne gave a little wave, standing up from the seat that she now deemed as utterly depressing. "Hey Layla. I only got here just then." She lied, knowing that the girl had probably seen her first entrance. She hadn't been here for ages, but she hadn't just arrived either. "Have you secured yourself a table, or seating, or something?" Tianne asked, slightly fishing for an invitation to enter the hall.

“What would your perfect day be?” Well, this was an interesting question to be sure. One Dante never thought about very much, as the days came and went. He never considered one to be perfect, though maybe they got pretty close. He hummed just slightly as he thought about it. Nothing musical in the hum, just the kind that one would let out when they think. “A perfect day?” he trailed off as he restated the question. “Probably just a simple day of hanging out with friends,” he gave a light squeeze with his hands trying to hint at who he could have meant by friends. “Maybe going to a concert, or just out to Hogsmeade for some fun off campus.” He took the the inside of his cheek and bit it between his back teeth, not a strong bite, but enough to hold the cheek in place. It was probably unnoticeable to her unless she was paying very close attention to it.
The perfect day did have more to it than those simple statements. “I guess it would be hard to explain the perfect day,” he shrugged. Probably not the answer she was looking for, and to save his response he could elaborate on it more. With just a little bit of time to think about the question. “How about you? What would your perfect day entail?” He could at least hear her thoughts on it, maybe it would remind him of more detail for his own response.
He was happy to have her in his arms, puffy dress and all. And still had a smile on his face, even has he bit his inner cheek. He wondered if perhaps tonight was one of those perfect days? It had all the signs of a perfect day. He could not stop smiling, and he was sure that when he finally hit his bed tonight he'd replay the day through his head, and hope that tomorrow would be close to this perfection. He could have said that in response to her question. But Dante thought that might have been to corny for the situation, and he really was not a fan of being so cliché with his answer.

Whether there was rain or not, it really didn't matter to Drew. Sure, he had kind of hoped for another chance to make up for their last dance, but at the same time, it only mattered that she was next to him. She snuggled in closer and told him she didn't feel any moisture. It really didn't make much of a difference to him when she was up against him and he could smell her soap and feel her warmth.
But as he sighed deeply, content with just being there with her, he felt another drop followed by another. Again he looked up at the sky, waiting to see if they'd get more of a downpour or if he was just imagining it.

Light brown eyes flashing skywards once more, Felicity giggled. He'd been right. There was rain falling, slowly, but it felt as though it was growing steadier in the moment it took her to feel it, look at it, watch it, and glance back down at him with a huge grin. It was raining, giving them a second chance at dancing together. It'd been almost a year since their last dance in the rain, and she wanted that memory partially wiped away. She loved when he had chased her through the rain, caught and spun her around, and when he put his hat on her, that had been the best part. After that, with the questioning, it wasn't so wonderful.
"Shall we?" she asked of taking advantage of the moment. That was what she wanted, a second chance at something that had been so wonderful the last time, she just wanted a different ending.

Dang, how he loved that giggle. A light and playful sound, it always made him smile wide when he heard it. If he wasn't so afraid of retaliation, he would tickle her a whole lot more just to hear her giggle like that.
He looked down at her and saw her upturned face, her brown eyes sparkling in the filtered light from the Great Hall's windows. She looked absolutely beautiful standing there in the rain and he couldn't help but kiss her lightly on her nose. Taking her hand back up in his, he went back to his gentle swaying, glad they got another chance at their dance in the rain.
