Alexander wasn't quite sure what to think of the whole situation. As far as he knew, he was walking into a whole social gathering of all Krissy's friends only to be ignored or worse actually acknowledged. Anxiety? A bit. Alexander only took four showers though, and applied only half of the product he usually would to clear up his terrible case of acne. If it wasn't for his mother pulling him away in order to be on time, he probably would have scrubbed and cleaned his face right off. But at least he looked and smelled good.
"Come on, Alex! You're going to be late!" Patricia Cronon yelled throughout his house just minutes before he was supposed to be in front of the studio with Krissy. She peaked her head around the bathroom and watched as her son made himself presentable. "And you don't want to keep the Miss waiting, now do you?" Instantly Alexander's face colored as he glared at his mother. "Mum, please.....please....please, get out."
Patricia had done as she was told, giggling as she walked down the hallway to the door. He was so embarrassed of her already, and he hadn't even left yet. Because of the timing and how far York was from London, his mother had agreed to apparate him right in front of the studios. Alexander was finding that he could have died right then. He had no idea who would be at this party, only that the dark hair raven from the quidditch game, Ari, was hosting it. He didn't know her, and whatever happened at this party, Alexander would never forgave himself if he embarrassed Krissy.
Finally, ready and in front of his mother, Patricia wrapped her arms around Alexander and smiled. "My baby is growing up," she said as Alexander made eye contact with her and realized there was a tear in her eye. "Mum, I...." resting his head against her chest he sighed. "Please, don't embarrass me."
And instant later, and Alexander was in front of the studio. He hated apparating. Feeling as your body was being practically torn apart. No, this magic stuff was not for Alexander in the slightest. But as he gathered himself up enough, he pushed himself slightly away from his mother in her fushia robes and looked around. He could see Krissy waiting against the building, so quickly pecking his mother on the cheek, he dashed away. "Have fun, Alex! But not to much fun! You know what it does to your...."
"Mum!" Alexander yelled back at her. His face a beat red, as she just smiled at him, shook her head, and disapperated from sight. Turning back around and walking up to Krissy, trying to regain any dignity he had lost, he smiled warmly at the older Huffle. "Good Evening, Krissy," he said with a tip of his head.

Krissy had heard the pop of someone apperating, which was in truth rather unusual into a muggle community, however outside a gathering of witches and wizards it wasn't too unusual. Krissy's head had turned in the direction of the noise and noticed her friend arrive with a woman in fushia robes. She had completely forgot Alexander probably couldn't apperate on his own yet. Krissy could, however apperating was rather painful for her right now so instead she had walked the distance to get there. Not that she had really minded though. Krissy grinned slightly as she watched the scene between Alexander and his mother. However as the boy approached she chose not to mention it.
As soon as he had gotten close and spoke Krissy took a few quick steps forward and put her arms around his neck giving her friend a hug. Upon release she smiled at him warmly. "How're you doing Alex?" she said happily. She definitely was in a much better mood then she had been during her previous few months at Hogwarts. He looked rather good tonight, although it was difficult to find Alexander not looking good. He was also so neat and clean, a stark opposite to Krissy who was normally coated in some form of mud.

The hug was an unexpected surprise for Alexander, as he hugged her back slightly and laughed. "I'm doing well," he commented after she had let go. Krissy was happy tonight, from what Alexander could tell and it was definitely a pleasant site after what had happened during the fall. Maybe she had finally started to let go of the pain that plagued her from her last relationship. Alexander hoped so. He hated seeing anyone, especially someone close to him, so torn up.
Alexander looked behind him, making sure his mother really was gone. "Sorry, 'bout her. She's a bit wild at times. She's excited about going to her own New Year's party tonight," Alexander turned back to Krissy and rolled his eyes playfully. Shaking his head, he stuck out an elbow to Krissy. "Shall we enter?"

"Great to be here," Charlie commented to Ari, taking a look at the studio and liking some things about it. Above all else, though, that would have to be the warmth of the place. It was just what she needed after that venture outside in the winter climate. And what was worse was that it was only getting started. The weather, she meant.
"Too early to ask about the foo--ooh!" She had started to whisper to Hiro about the location of the concessions when she found it herself. "You want somethin', dude?" It took a lot to stop herself from jumping on the goods and abandoning her boyfriend. She didn't realize how hungry she was getting already. "They have tacos?!?" Ah yes. Great party already.

Krissy hadn't even thought about hugging Alexander it had just come naturally an it wasn't until after he laughed and smiled that she realised that he could have acted much worse and that was was extremely lucky he hadn't. She grinned as he mentioned his mother, it seemed him and her got along pretty well. As much as Krissy would love her mother to be like that she knew it wasn't possible and had sorta gotten used to the thought that she just didn't have a mother. It was alot easier to deny her mothers existence then to try to explain what she was like. "She's okay" Krissy grinned back at Alex with a happy smile, laughing at little as he rolled his eyes. "Shes got every right to be happy if shes going to a party"
Alex then offered an elbow to Krissy and asked if they should enter. "Yeah lets go in" Krissy said, linking her arm around his and leading him into the Marlow Studio's. Krissy's eyes scanned around the room. There were already people there, most of which Krissy recognised. Streamers hung from everywhere and confetti fell from the ceiling and dissolved as it hit the floor. Krissy held out her free hand to catch some of the rainbow confetti. She smiled. The whole place looked rather quite pretty. Krissy was glad she had come, more glad Alex had accepted though. She was still a little bit nervous about running into Ari. She wasn't quite sure how the girl would react to her.

Alexander had no idea what he was doing, and as he entered with Krissy on his arm, he almost wished he had attended the party his parents were attending. At least there he'd know what he was getting himself into, and who was going to be at the party. He sighed heavily as he looked around the building they entered. It was rather elegant and the magical decorations were something he knew there wouldn't be at the other party. If anything, he could occupy himself with the decorations if he were bored, or worse....humiliated.
Placing a hand on Krissy's that was around his arm, he smiled genuinely at her. "So, do you know who is supposed to be attending this evening?" Alexander asked softly, so as not to disrupt her enjoyment with the confetti. Alexander didn't want her to lose that smile she then wore. He couldn't remember the last time he'd ever seen it.

"Yo, ma, dats cool. You'll prob be all gushin over him and swoonin like my girlfriend does for me." Nic thought Ari was coming to him and he held out his arms and she rushed right past him. Nic's mouth dropped opened. "Wha-!" Nic listened as she practically drooled over Charlie and Hiro.
Nic rolled his eyes at his girlfriend not understanding why she didn't agree with him. She should be on his side period. If he could get away with it, Nic would have put his hand on his hips and demanded she do what he wanted, but Nic knew that would either get him slapped or worse she'll do the exact opposite to an annoying degree so instead he rolled his eyes and whispered to Essy. "I think I'm gonna kill her." Nic rested his arm around Essy's neck and glanced around. "Ya mean we da only snakes up in hea. Dats okay we'll show dem on da dance floor, RIGHT MY DARLIN GIRLFRIEND WHO SHOULD BE GLUED TO MY SIDE, BECAUSE I'M TALKING TO ONE OF DA PRETTIEST GIRLS UP IN DIS PLACE AND SHOULD BE MAD WORRIED I'M FLIRTIN OR SOMTHIN!!!" Nic spoke loudly so Ari could hear.
He looked to his left to see Krissy and another dude enter and he nodded his greeting to them. "Yo Krissy was sup? And duh, was sup dude I ain't met yet. I'm Nic, dis Essy," Nic nodded over to da girl he still had his arm resting against. "And da hostess over dere is MY GIRLFRIEND WHO SHOULD BE GREETIN NEW GUESTS AND BE ATTACHED TO MY SIDE!" Nic shook his head. He didn't know if da new dude knew everyone. He was just trying to get his girlies attention. "Women!"

It was a short walk from the Wenderling to Ari's studio, but Allegra had still bundled up in a coat, scarf, and gloves. Underneath all that was a different story though,; she had assumed Ari would have the heater on and was wearing a silky tank blouse (a little bit lower cut than she usually wore, not that she had much to show off) and a short black skirt. It wasn't what she would usually wear in the middle of winter but it was a special occasion and she figured if she got really cold... well then Chad would have to put his arm around her, wouldn't he?

Walking alongside Allegra, Chad's hand dangled at his side. The long sleeve of his black winter coat hung just at his wrist and the collar was flipped up to block out the wind. His hair, which had grown a considerable amount as of late, was gelled down except for his bangs which were flipped up. He'd checked his hair about a million times before he left his apartment and while he wasn't entirely happy with it, it would have to do. He hadn't wanted to keep Allegra waiting. But now that they were out in the cold and wind, his hair was getting blown around a little more. Chad ducked his head against the wind, hoping his hair wouldn't suffer too much. The man was dressed in some nice black dress pants and a black dress shirt, the first couple buttons undone and that collar flipped up as well. Chad wasn't really too sure how casual this thing was supposed to be, so he played it safe.
"Why does it have to be s'damn cold?" Chad complained as they reached their destination, knocking on the door.

"Silly, it'll be warm once we get inside," Allegra assured him, hugging his arm in an effort to keep herself warm as well. She bounced a little to keep the blood flowing, not really caring for the winter breeze that seemed to like going up her skirt. They probably could have Apparated, but since it was only a few blocks, it just seemed so silly.
"You know you're probably going to be the oldest person here, right? That's not going to bother you?" she asked, figuring that the guests would mostly still be students. She wasn't too sure who else would be at this gathering, figuring Nic of course, and hearing from her brother that Hiro and Charlie would probably be there as well. It didn't matter too much, considering she knew a lot of the same people Ari did.

"As long as I'm with you, I don't care," Chad replied cheekily, flashing her a sly grin. He pulled his arm out from her grip to wrap it around her shoulders instead and rub her arms, trying to warm Allegra up. "If I start to feel like a grandpa, I'll let you know," said Chad with a chuckle.

"Yup. Taco.....s," Arianna had been grinning at Charlie's excitement over the food, but the smile quickly faded when she heard Nic's voice and realized just what he was saying. She turned toward him, her eyes somehow narrowed while one eyebrow perked up, daring him to repeat his words.
"Oh, I'm sorry," she excused herself and made her way back to Nic, an odd look on her face. She was standing only a foot from him and Essy when she spoke again, her voice matching the unhappy expression. "I was under the impression I could trust my boyfriend not to be chasing after other girls whether or not I was nearby. But if you REALLY want me to watch over you like prison guard, I can arrange that."
What did he think she was, anyway? A paranoid little girl who had to be attached to him to make sure he wasn't going to leave her? Arianna thought he liked her for her independent attitude, but if that wasn't true....well, there would definitely be a problem. Arianna really didn't want to cause a scene by having an argument with Nic, though, and took the arrival of Krissy and her friend as an opportunity to steer clear of one. She afforded one last warning look at her boyfriend before turning and bounding toward the two Huffles.
"KRISSY!" she shouted, tackling the girl in a great hug. Even if she was still a bit upset by Krissy's involvement in her kidnapping, Arianna had come to the conclusion that something about the whole thing wasn't right. She had realized it just wasn't something Krissy would do willingly and...well...maybe she needed to give the girl a chance to tell her side.

Es grinned at him and felt herself blushing. Yeah, she would be swooning over Brandon. But not because of the same reasons Ari would over Nic. For one, she thought she would never see him again and here he was, back before winter break even ended. That was a huge relief for her and it made her realize how much she really like...loved him. She watched him hold his arms out for Ari and watch her zip right by him for Charlie and Hiro and had to bite her lip to keep from laughing. She only didn't laugh cause she saw the anger flash in Nic's eyes. She brought her hand up to her mouth to fake a cough, naturally tucking her hair behind her ear afterwards.
He wouldn't kill her but he knew he could fight. Well, Ari probably had a couple of steps up him. She was a girl and she was a Ravenclaw. Es naturally rested against Nic as he laid his arm around her neck. It was just one of those things that happened, she couldn't help and she sure as heck wasn't trying to take Ari's man. She nodded, yeah they were the only snakes besides Charlie. But they outnumbered the rest of the houses by one so, who cared? Then he mentioned dancing? Dancing? She could feel herself sinking towards the ground. She wasn't much of a dancer. She wasn't bad, but she didn't dance that much and what kind of dancing would they be doing, bump and grind? She didn't do that stuff. Es could feel her face getting hott as Nic yelled over the small crowd about how he was talking to one of the prettiest girls in the room and Ari should be jealous. Why did Nic have to give her this kind of attention? She wasn't used to it.
Then they turned to Krissy and Alexander. She flashed them an embarrassed smile with a "Hi." Was Nic going to do this to her all night? Obviously it wasn't intended to grab people's attention to her, but Ari's attention to Nic, but that didn't mean they weren't staring at her. Wait, were they? She wasn't used to this, she could feel panic rise in her throat but she pushed it down. It's just a party, no big deal. Then he got Ari's attention and by the look on her face, she wasn't happy. Es was ready to back away, even if it meant injuring the arm that was still wrapped around her neck. She didn't want them to fight and she especially didn't want to be in the middle of it all. She opened her mouth to defend herself, though Ari didn't look mad at her, but then an excited squeal escaped Ari's lips and her attention was drawn to Krissy.
Es looked at Nic blankly, poking him in the side angrily.

Though the warm air hit them both when the door opened Hiro wouldn't have called the place warm. Especially when Nic had literally pulled the other girl right between Charlie and himself. A tweak of anger should in his fake smile but before he could reply he was overcome by a surprise. Ari had greeted them both with open arms, a shock that both he and Nic felt to the same degree. He hadn't talked to her in months really and now it seemed like nothing had ever happened. Perhaps it was the event or perhaps Ari was a really good actress; in either case Hiro made a mental note to say what he wanted to for such a long time tonight.
But that could come later, right now they were blocking the entrance and there was an awkwardness that was building between the hosts. Charlie had found a great excuse to be rid of this tension and so he followed the lead.
"Actually I think I'll come with you, I don't quite know what I'm in the mood for." He'd find a time when Nic wasn't so aggressive to talk to Ari.

Nic moved away from Essy, but only because she was poking him. "Essy! Did you see dat. She got mad at mae, at mae. Alls I"m saying is dat she should say was sup den ya know come back ova here ta me and what was all dat rushin off. I mean Essy ya hot, but shouldn't she have at least given ya da 3rd eye. Not dat I want my girlie all jealous, but on da real can't a brotha have some sort of attention or somethin'?"
Nic walked practically dragging Essy wid him to da turn tables. He flipped a switch and another set of cd's in another cd player started playing. This music was a bit more hip hop, but with a rock underline. Nic was in dat mood. "Come on." Nic started doing a little pop lock to da beat. Which meant he was dancin, but he was starin at his girly girl. She was havin a good time and Nic should help her, so why was he suddenly so jealous. It wasn't like Drew was here and she was laughing overly loud at his jokes? Nic shook his head.
