Shay smiled into their kiss and held onto both sides of his face with her hands, just as she did when they first kissed almost a week ago. And even then, their kisses were just as exciting. How she came to be unable to stop thinking about him was beyond her, but she didn't want to think about it while she continued to kiss him. Again, he had that kind of effect on her.
She let go of him by the lips and looked both ways again. "Even you've got me looking around," she said with a laugh. She was beginning to wonder if any of her fellow photographers roamed the muggle streets with cameras in hand. It was definitely a stupid thought, but one she wasn't looking forward to. Back at him, she smiled sweetly. "Ice cream?"

When she looked either way after kissing, he smiled and laughed a bit. "What can I say? I'd rather be safe than sorry." And for the most part it was true, but safe from what? He'd never tell. It was on a need to know basis only, and at this time, Shay did not need to know. Maybe she'd never need to know. He'd figure that out when he figured out how she fit into everything.
When she asked him about the ice cream, he had almost forgotten. Perfect time for a line. "Why would I need anything sweeter than this?" As he asked her, he brought his hand that was rested on her waist up to the side of her head, gently pushing some hair out of her face with two of his fingers tracing and gently caressing her cheek and jaw line. Alfonz almost dared to ask himself where the limit was to how good he felt. How good she made him feel? He wanted to know how far was too far, but at the same time, he knew that he was in probably already way over his head.

Shay had to laugh again for his words. "Nice line, Casanova," she remarked, stating another old muggle movie. "I'm still itching for mint chocolate chip," she added with her cheesy grin. She pulled up to kiss him on his nose. Afterwards, it was off to another search for ice cream, except she was sure she was knowing the street a little to know where she could find some.
As they continued their walk, she pulled in close to him, continuing her grin. "Tell me, what does a man of your stature like for ice cream? Rum raisin? Rocky road?" It was as if she gained some more energy after the restaurant. Well, after pulling him into a kiss like that, she was bound to feel more energized.

"I try," his ego laughed through, even though he had no idea the movie reference, he tried to play it off as if he didn't need to. After all, Casanova could have meant anything, and it didn't necessarily have to be anything muggle related, so he thought nothing of it.
Closely walking along side her, she pulled him in even closer, and as he intertwined his fingers with hers he contemplated her question, and the best response for it. "I like chocolate. Plain, soft ice cream, chocolate." He plainly stated what he liked. He wasn't much into the fancy ice creams that you had to chew. "I like an ice creme that doesn't have to be chewed. If I wanted to chew something..." he trailed off eying Shay and smirking. "I'd find something better to chew on." He tightened his grasp as they rounded a corner.
"Isn't there one up here?" he asked her calmly, almost thinking that he had seen one before when walking to the apartment building, but still unsure if there really was. He had never paid much attention, and the one he used to take his sister to when they were younger, was in the more magical part of London near where they lived. He figured he should start learning a bit before Celina came to live with him during the winter months. "So, I was wondering something a while back, during this week...I mean..." Alfonz wasn't much for stuttering, and he hated beating around the bush, but for this matter he found treading carefully the wisest option.

"Hmm, it is a classic, I'll admit," Shay remarked and squeezed his hand with his flirty comment. She could tell they were more able to open themselves up around each other even if it meant being silly in some aspects. "Aha! It is there!" Every so often she wanted to compare him to past relationships, but it was hard to. He just had a presence about him that she couldn't put a finger on. It was unprecedent for her.
She sniggered at his struggle for words. "Yes? What do you mean to say?" She looked up at him, ready to pay attention to what he had to say.

He sighed a bit. It wasn't as if he was nervous, rather he knew that this would tell him whether or not to keep Shay around. "My sister is coming to visit me during her winter break...actually, rather she's staying with me in the apartment. Our father is ill, and I'd rather her spend her free time with myself rahter than being bored with our parents." Long winded explaination over, he paused for a bit and breathed trying to collect what he was actually thinking. He wanted Shay to meet his sister, but not so that Celina could hark on him about it later, more to discuss her with Celina and see what she thought. If she disagreed with his decision, he wouldn't go through with it anymore. It was just the way things went. Celina before any other. It was his life decision many years ago, and he was going to stick to it, no matter what. It could have been classified as a test of sorts, but as he looked at Shay, he hardly thought she wouldn't pass. "I'd just thought it'd be...." did he use the word fun? "an enjoyable event if you would..." hang out sounded childish. "spend time with myself while she was around. Sometimes, I mean," he wasn't saying she'd be everywhere he was and vice versa. Most places but not all, and she had brought Celina up that night. Alfonz thought to himself how he could claim that he had nothing to do with it. It wasn't like he was going to talk anymore about her for the rest of the night, just the one little request. Easy enough. He squeezed her hand slightly back, almost genuinely nervous for her response, but he pushed the nervousness away. The plan worked around him, just as much as he knew it would also work around Shay. In his mind, however, his life came first when introducing new entities into the mix. Though, he'd never say that, but things did have their order, and in a month Celina would be arriving. He'd rather have it known, then a surprise. ((And you thought he talked to much about his sister before ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) ))

(well, I stand corrected xD)
She listened to him all the way, hearing any stumbles and modifications of his words. He seemed very careful about what he said when it concerned Celina and she felt bad. Since her party when she was given a perfume that lowered her inhibitions immediately, she hadn't meant for her words to Alfonz to sound like she didn't like his sister. That was more a judgement to be reserved after she met her. And so far she hadn't heard anything but good things of her, other than the downfalls of her life-- however vaguely described. He didn't know this, but she was curious to see the girl he cared and protected.
She let a pause come between them to think of all of this. Sooner than later, though, she widened her smile. "Of course," she nodded, "I want to meet her. Break is the perfect time to do just that." If she was able to make time for the two during the Hogwarts winter break, then she would do it.
By now, the flourescent lighting of the ice cream shoppe hit them and she had one hand on the handle of the door but didn't open it just yet. Instead, her gaze held his. "I'll do this for you," she stated simply. Shay opened the door.

Aflonz smiled and was immensely relieved that she said she wanted to meet Celina. It would make things much easier that way for the both of them he figured, and in the end, easier for Celina. Shay wasn't the worst of all role models, and nothing said that Celina had to know that Shay was a half blood, though he figured it may come up. He hoped that in the meantime it would not. All he needed was for Celina to light up and tell him how wonderful it was. Alfonz could see their mother in her when she did stuff like that, and it frankly disgusted him. Especially, since their mother was not picky in the least bit. At least with Shay, Alfonz felt as if he had done a pretty thrural job of picking out every detail and every flaw, which he knew not many or much of thus far, but Shay seemed different. Now he'd just have to find a way to explain that to his fifteen year old sister when she came home.
"I'm glad, makes things easier for you to know now rather than be surprised when I have another woman in the apartment." He jested and smirked as she smiled at him while holding the door. "You do know that's my job?" He asked her, trying to sound playfully annoyed. Alfonz met her eyes and rested a hand against her neck, slightly holding, standing in the doorway. "Maybe I'll be adventurous again, and try a twist." He smiled, smirked, and lead the way into the parlour up to the counter.

She was glad that he felt a little relief in knowing that she was fine with it all, and frankly she was just as relieved as well. It seemed before that maybe he wanted to hide Celina from her, or something. She couldn't pinpoint it, but she didn't want to, either. Instead, what she wanted to do was let the things flow as they were already doing. Of course, this date was a bit forced, but it was turning out to be something the completely opposite of the beginning of that evening. It was as if they had to let go to let it flow. Oddly enough, it was working.
"Ooh, Mr. Adventure! Do I get to pick again?" She said with a laugh and a tease. "I wouldn't recommend it, though. I'd probably make you stick to the kiddie flavors. Or mix up two really bad matches, like sherbert with chocolate fudge."

Alfonz laughed. He hadn't meant a twist defined as in a turn of events, he had meant a chocolate and vinilla twist. "I think you misunderstood." He shook his head, and tried not to laugh at her, rather about the comments she made as she offered to pick the ice cream he had. That was not about to happen, not with ice cream. He was a fan of it once and a while, and it had to be the way he liked it.
"No, Shay. I meant, a twist as in chocolate and vanilla." As he looked at the ice cream maker, he looked at the employee and said, "I'll have a chocolate and vanilla twist, and whatever she wants. It's going on the same bill," looking back at Shay, he yet again laughed. It wasn't as funny as he was making it out to be, but maybe he was just tired. That's what it was, lack of sleep.

"I definitely knew that!" She protested playfully, but knew full well that was a lie. She didn't mind. The dumb statements always seemed to come and go for her. But to go along with it, she continued on with her joke. "Actually, he'll want lemon Italian ice mixed really well with the triple fudge with almonds!" She grinned at him, seeing if he would stop him before she made his order even more ridiculous and possibly disgusting. It was almost like mixing things together in primary school during the lunch hour, just to see how it would look and taste.

"So, one twist and a lemon ice, fudge....what?" the man behind the counter asked.
"You heard the lady," Alfonz corrected the man. "She wants a lemon Italian ice mixed really well with the triple fudge with almonds." Alfonz smirked wickedly at Shay and before she could open her mouth to change what had been ordered, he pulled her close to him, placing a tender, but short kiss on her lips before placing his hand over her mouth.
"Now don't argue," he said tightening his grasp with his other arm around her waist holding her close up against himself. "You have to eat what you order, after all." He snickered wildly, glad that the man behind the counter had his back turned, and they were the only ones in November deciding that it was a good day for ice cream. He had it made, and as Shay was having her concoction made, the man turned around handing the twist ice cream over the counter.
"Here's the twist," he said, eying the two, and the strange position the stood in.

"No wait no!" Shay cried out in protest, knowing she walked into the trap she tried to make him walk into. After he kissed her, she knew there was trouble as he clamped a hand on her mouth. She laughed and squinted as she tried again though in a muffle. "Uoo! Aaths not whah Uh waan...!" In retaliation, though, she made sure to bite his hand and coughed in laughter. She pointed crazily at him, indicating the mix currently made especially for him. "Uh want mint!"

"No, I'm pretty sure she wanted whatever she first said," Alfonz laughed, squinting as her teeth pinched his skin. "Ow," he said, keeping his hand over her mouth for a while longer, the man still stood behind them with the twist still in hand. "Now, now, Shay. Don't be like that, you ordered lemon ice with chocolate stuff." Alfonz couldn't even remember all of what the gross sounding contraption was, but he knew for sure that he was not the one about to eat it.
Finally, taking the twist from the man, he uncovered Shay's mouth and moved away from her slightly so she could properly correct her order. "You must watch who you play with, Shay," he started taking a lick of the ice cream cone he had in his hand. "I play games for a living."

Shay stuck her tongue out at him childlishly but continued to smile. "Sorry there," she said to the man making their ice cream, though he was beginning to smirk at their shenanigans. "I'll have the mint chocolate chip. And that ice cream you just wasted can go right onto his tab," she added, a wink coming at Alfonz. "How's the twist?"
