Mortified? Not even the word. Celina couldn't think of a stronger word for how Felicity was making her feel at that very moment. She glared a bit at Drew for announcing her presence so, but said nothing about it and smiled friendly at the others who Felicity went on to introduce her too. At her friends compliments, she tried to look away as a blush took over, and she shook her head. "Oh, I'm not that lovely," she quietly peeped out, as if someone had cast a spell over her voice.
Celina put an arm around Felicity though and hugged her a bit, too. But after a while, she felt awkward and slowly and gently pushed herself away from Felicity. Looking at her friend's face she smiled warmly. "I recieved an owl today, from your mum. Saying you were having a little get together and I should come, too. My mum wouldn't let me say no," Celina stopped short at the last part, hoping that she didn't sound as if she didn't want to come because the fact of the matter was that she had wanted to come. At the moment, through all of the embarrassment thus far, she wasn't so sure. But she did want to come to begin with.
Slowly though, Celina remembered her mother and looked back towards where she came. "Do you think you guys could come with me for a moment?" Celina asked both Felicity and Drew. She wanted them to meet her mother. Actually, it was more like Elizabeth had insisted on it, and Celina was to comply or leave. It was just the way things worked in the Jedynak household. "I hope you two don't mind...." she shyly said to Felicity's friends. "It will be quick, I promise." Celina didn't say what she wanted them for. If she had, she feared that Drew would not want to meet another of her family. Alfonz really hadn't made the best of impressions, and even now as she stood there and not in Liverpool with him, Celina wondered if Drew had even contemplated that to ask of her. She hoped he hadn't but at the same time, wondered about whether or not if he had. "I just need you guys...where your dad is, Felicity."
Mrs Jedynak looked back at Ib and smiled. "Camping you say? We've never done it in our family, but I'm sure Celina would love to try something new." Elizabeth shrugged as she kept her smile bright and nodded her head. Yes, she'd try to find a way for Celina to escape out of the house for a while to be with her friends, that is if Elizabeth approved of them. But in her heart, she really found no need to worry about that.

As Celina came over, Drew held out his hands as if to aske where his hug was. He was a friend too. Didn't he get one? He didn't push it though, considering she looked like she was ready to slug him instead for calling her out like that. He couldn't help it though; he had just been so glad to see another friend.
He smiled a little nervously at Celina's request though, knowing she wasn't usually so impolite. What could be so important that they had to exclude Felicity's other friends? Not that Drew wouldn't mind the intermission from grilling, just that he thought they were a group at the moment and probably should stick it out.
But when Celina mentioned Felicity's dad, that changed matters. "Will you excuse us a moment?" he asked the other two girls before telling Felicity's sister that he'd be back to finish his job. he didn't want her to think he had abandoned his post.

At the word owl, Alyssa and Mary both looked at each other. Owl? Turning to look at Felicity, they waited for an explanation, but this wasn't something she'd been prepared for. Her brown eyes went wide as she looked at her Eagle friend. Actually, she didn't even have time to think about what she'd said about her mum not letting her say no. "Owl?" she croaked out in a whisper. Turning her attention back to her friends, she giggled, forcedly. "It's just a inside joke. My mum probably just ran into hers at the market or something. Right Celina? She lives here in London, too. Isn't it a coincidence?"
Her brown eyes begged her friend to agree, but it didn't matter much as Celina pushed the conversation on about taking them away. With a rushed nod, Felicity began pushing at her friend to exit the kitchen. "We'll be right back, promise." Her farewell to her friends was short, and much less implolite than that of Drew's. Barely before Drew had been able to finish his explanation to her sister, she had a hold of his hand and was dragging him out. "Come on, we should see what we're needed for." After a small, playful glare from her sister, she called out, "Meredith, we will be right back."
"Celina, love," she started, pulling her off to the side before going too much further. "It's the mail, not owls. And if anyone asks, we go to school in Norway, studying sciences, or something of the like." Felicity had forgotten her friend was pureblood, which of course meant less chance of knowing just how careful she had to tread. Thankfully, Drew was aware of the situations. "We're in a muggle home, at a muggle party," she giggled, finding her friend's slip amusing. "Don't worry about it, if they ask anything more about it, I'll come up with something. It's just, we have to be careful around most everyone here."
Her tone was pleasant, just rushed. Of course the blonde wasn't mad at her friend, if her mum hadn't told her of the story, it was her mum's fault. "All right, let's go find my dad, and why don't you tell us why we're needed?"
Taking up Drew's hand, she laced her fingers in his and pulled him through the crowd, while holding onto Celina's wrist with her other hand, to be sure she didn't get lost among the masses.

Drew was dragged out of the kitchen and smiled back over his shoulder at those that were left behind. He hadn't even caught Celina's slip until the other girls had said something but he was already with a cover story.
"It's just one of those stupid inside sayings from school, y'know?" he told Celina and Felicity, giving them a shrug like it wasn't anything that couldn't be covered up. He was a fast thinker when his butt was on the line and while he didn't usually advocate lying, they were dealing with the Statute of Secrecy here. He figured it would be forgiven.
On the other hand, it really wasn't much of a lie, was it? Owls were what they used at school to get messages to one another, so it was a school thing.
"Back home, they give out 'hollahs'," Drew told them as Felicity started up leading him back to the door. By his figuring, it wasn't a far stretch from hollah to howl to owl. Not a major slip up at all if they played it cool.

Celina hadn't even realized what kind of mistake she had made. That was, until Felicity was telling her in a bit of haste as she was being grabbed and pushed away from the kitchen area. As she did realize though, Celina's facial expression turned to confusion to utter terror. "I'm sorry...I...I...I'm sorry, it was an accident. I didn't mean anything by it....oh," Celina looked away as her friend continued to explain to her all the stuff she should have known before getting there. Yet again, mortified, but this time by her own doing. Celina didn't know how she was going to last out the night.
Listening to Felicity, she only understood half of what she said. Mostly because she was so dumbfounded with herself, and the fact that she just didn't understand. "A school in Norway?...ok..." she said softly. She'd really messed up big time and couldn't believe her slip. Maybe this was why her father never let her around muggles. Her and her big mouth.
As Felicity asked about her father, Celina looked up at her and Drew with a puzzled look. "Your father didn't tell me he wanted you....I asked if you would come with me to where your father was," a little exasperated giggle escaped Celina's lips. Is that why Drew had picked up to leave so suddenly? Well, whatever worked and got them to meet her mother, that was fine. "I'd like you guys to meet someone...and this person is where your father is right now. That's all....it won't take but a moment." At that Celina turned the hand that Felicity's grasp was in and grabbed it with her own. Hoping that Felicity would hang on to Drew tight, she quickened her pace towards where the adults were.

"Celina, it really is all right. They'll drop it for now, and if they're still curious, they'll ask me about it later." Smiling at her friend, she really didn't think it was too big of a deal, it wasn't as though she'd said it in front of the enitirety of the muggle neighborhood, or even the adults. At least it'd only been in front of her friends, no major damage done that couldn't be repaired.
"Hollahs?" What in the world was that? But, he'd just told her it was something they gave out back at his home. Perhaps is was like an owl, or postal mail? But it still was confusing to the blonde. "You mean hellos? Or hollerings?" Perhaps she'd mistaken what he said to her.
When her Raven friend told them she wanted them to meet someone, her first thoughts were on the girl's brother. Felicity actually wanted to meet him, to see what he was like. Celina said he'd been cranky as of late, but that didn't mean he wouldn't drop her off, right? Then she remembered Drew had already met him, when they'd gotten into the fight Celina had told her about. And, just thinking of that, she remembered she hadn't said anything to Drew about knowing about it. But, if it wasn't Alfonz, then who were they to meet? Celina grabbed her hand and began taking the lead, Felicity followed, not exactly sure where her dad actually was at that moment. On the other hand, she spotted a very happy-looking Jacob, who was so enthralled with the brunette in his arms that he couldn't even muster a glare at Drew.
Giggling, she turned her head to look at the blue-eyed boy to see if he'd noticed as well. "Jacob and his fiancee. He asked her to marry him the day before yesterday. Of course, she said yes. They've been together for a couple of years." The information wasn't solely for Drew, but she thought he might be a bit more interested as to the reason why Jacob wasn't throwing a menacing glare at him.
"You've never been camping?" Ib nearly shouted in surprise. "Never been to visit the great outdoors for a bit of time, to become one with nature for a few short days?" Really, even his experience in the woods was more pleasant than becoming one with nature, though he did threaten every year that he wanted to make camping an adventure. "We're going to have to arrange it then. Felicity absolutely loves it, I'm sure she'd be able to keep Celina's interests in it." He was already scheming about what they'd do this year, where they'd go, and such.
"And speaking of the angels themselves," Ib smiled at the approaching young ladies. Angels was reserved for them, definitely not for the boy that was in tow, that his daughter was holding the hand of, that he was being pleasant to in view of the circumstances. Those being they were now an official couple, in his daughter's eyes, and they were at a joyous party, not just a little gathering.

Celina said no more about her mistake, making a mental note that she would have to watch what exactly she said from now on. She didn't understand sometimes how dense muggles could be. It wasn't as if magic hid everything from them, did it? I mean, they had to notice strange things from their friend once and a while. And a school in Norway? Celina had no idea what in the world Felicity and her parents were thinking with that one. She rolled her eyes as she thought about this still dragging Felicity, who in tow was dragging Drew behind them.
Elizabeth nodded doing a little scheming of her own. It wouldn't be hard to get Celina out of the house for a few days at least, if anything she could be at Hogwarts studying up for NEWTs that were to come after she took her OWLs. She was sure she'd figure out some story to tell so that her daughter could be with her friends. Elizabeth just hoped it'd be enough whatever she did.
As Ib started to smile and speak of the children now entering the room they were in, Elizabeth turned to them and smiled genuinely. She tried not to be to over excited as she saw her daughter hand in hand with the girl that must have been Felicity Hjort. And then a tall boy behind the both of them straggling along. How charming he seemed, Elizabeth could hardly contain her smile.
Letting go of Felicity, Celina quickly walked to her mother's side and attatched herself to Elizabeth's dress again. She looked as if she were no more than a child, shy and hiding behind her mother. It would have been an awkward sight, but recently, Celina felt as if her friends were just one more stepping stone to her parent's approval. "Ma'ma, this is Felicity Hjort, and my other friend Drew Thornton." She gestured sheepishly toward each of them as she said their names, smiling slightly as she got to Drew hoping he wouldn't cast judgment on her mother because of Alfonz.
"Oh! Miss Hjort," Elizabeth said sticking out for the girl to shake it. "And, Mr. Thornton," she said doing the same to him. "Celina, you didn't tell me your friends were so dashing," she said mainly looking at Drew but then switching her gaze to Felicity. Celina's face went beat red as she hid behind her mother. Elizabeth put her arm around Celina as if to protect her, something it looked as if she had practice doing. Bending down to Celina's height, Elizabeth looked her right in her dark chocolate eyes. "It's alright, dear. I approve," she whispered to her daughter.
Celina was shocked. Not as shocked as she would have been, say if her father or Alfonz had said such words, but shocked nonetheless. Her mother seemed so different when not around either of the Jedynak men, and she hugged her mother almost letting a tear of joy fall from her eyes. In her ear she whispered a barely audible "Thank you," before running over to stand on the side of Felicity that Drew was not. She smiled brightly at the both of them. "Drew, Felicity....this is my mother, Elizabeth Rose Jedynak."

As Celina's mother appraised them, Drew felt a little bit like a prize poodle at show, but he had to smile when she greeted him. Mister Thornton... It was the first time he had been formally greeted with the title outside of school (which everyone knew didn't really count at all). Last time he had been home, he had still been considered Master Thornton.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Jedynak," he greeted back, taking her offered hand and shaking it. He couldn't say much else because, honestly, Celina never spoke about her family much.

Walking with Celina toward the door, it was a bit concerning to her that Drew didn't answer her question, about what a Hollah was exactly. Felicity had no idea, it wasn't as though she was up with the American slang Drew used now and then, perhaps it was merely a way of talking about postal, but still, he hadn't answered her question, and it wasn't as though it were a hard one to answer, it was only clarifying what a hollah was. However, he didn't respond to her information about Jacob either, though that wasn't needed, as it'd been a comment, a statement, not a question. Looking forward, she spotted something that might've answered her own concerns. Celina's mum.
The woman was beautiful, and her friend looked a lot like her. Perhaps Drew was awe struck by her beauty? The reason why he hadn't answered her. It was possible, being he was able to see over people, unlike she, maybe he saw Mrs Jedynak before she had? And because of her radiant beauty, had been swept away in his own thoughts about her.
Celina let go of her hand, and she was left holding onto Drew, which she abruptly let go when she saw the raised eyebrow of her father. He wasn't entirely pleased that she'd opted for Andrew's arm over his on the walk back to the Hjort home, and now was towing him along, almost as though dragging him there?
Felicity's face turned to a bright, smiling show of sun when Celina introduced them. True, she hadn't spoken of her family much, other than of the brother, but Felicity could tell she adored her mum, by the way she spoke of her and how she was now acting. Taking up the woman's hand, she smiled gently, feeling as Drew had answered. "Yes, it's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs Jedynak."
Looking over at her dad, she for any signs of approval or disapproval of her friend's mum. With the briefest of glances, he smirked, sign that he had enjoyed the woman's company so far. "Dad...has mum come out yet?" Letting her light brown eyes look back to Celina's mum, she smiled once more. "I know she's wanted to meet you, both," she added, with a prominent look to her friend. Seeing Winston, one of her nephews, not far away, she grabbed his attention and bid him to find her mum.
Moments later, Meadow arrived with a huge smile on her face. "Felicity? Is this your friend, and Mrs Jedynak?" Holding her hand out, she embraced the other woman's warmly. "It's such a pleasure to meet you. I'm so glad you could both make it."

Celina continued to smile as it seemed her friends liked her mother, as well. This was a great meeting, with Elizabeth approving and Drew and Felicity saying how much of a pleasure it was to meet her, Celina was impressed with the whole situation. She looked back towards her friends and couldn't wipe the grin from her face, and how happy she felt at that moment. For once, dreams really did come true.
As Felicity spoke with her father, Celina's gaze drifted to the people bopping in and out of the room, avoiding eye contact with the older Hjort. It wasn't him, just.....it was at the same time. Celina thought no more of it, however, as she watched as her friend sent for her mother, and Mrs Hjort came into the picture. Celina smiled shyly at the woman and nodded at the question even though it was Felicity who she had asked.
Elizabeth smiled adoringly at her daughter and her two friends. It was amazing how much Celina had grown already in the last few months, though she still needed to do some more in Elizabeth's opinion. Celina was fifteen and in need of finding other ways of growing and maturing. At her age, Elizabeth had tons of friends and was always being followed by some of the school boys. At the same time she knew why Celina was so shell-shocked, she almost wished she could help her more. She sighed as she noticed the other woman walk in, presumably Felicity's mother. Sticking our her hand, Elizabeth smiled brightly and nodded. "I'm so happy to meet you as well. What a lovely home you have here, and such a lovely young daughter." She dished out the compliments genuinely as if she had never met anyone in her life before. Though, in her profession she met plenty of people. Maybe it was because of how rushed she was feeling to get home, one would never know.

"Thank you," Meadow answered, a bright smile on her face. "It's a bit topsy-turvey in here, usually it looks a bit better, but with the amount of people, well...I had to do a bit of redecorating," she whispered to the younger woman with a laugh. No need for the entire party to think they had money stored somewhere and had to actually remodel their home to accomodate all of their guests. It was only a little bit of expanding magic here and there. "And you're daughter, she's absolutely beautiful."
Releasing Mrs Jedynak's hand, she stepped toward Celina, feeling a bit more comfortable being bold with the younger girl and pulled her into a warm hug. Hugs were good, and the older woman felt as though it wasn't necessary to greet the younger one in a formal way, she already felt as though she knew her from how her own daughter spoke of the dark haired girl. "And Celina, I really am glad you were able to make it. I don't think Felicity here would've been too pleased if I hadn't been able to get a hold of you. Of course, I really don't think she realized anything until this morning, wouldn't surprise me too much if that's how it was," she joked with Celina. Meadow adored her daughter, but sometimes she seemed a little oblivious to things around her.
"Meadow, Mrs Jedynak and I have been talking," Ib interrupted, taking focus off of the younger ones so they could talk for a few moments without being too observed. "And you wouldn't believe it. They've never been camping before! Don't ask me how not, but I was thinking...what would you say to expanding our camping trip this year?" Ib's piercing blue eyes were wide and full of excitement of the idea. It would be a lot of fun if there was another group along for the trip, it would make fishing and everything else even more fun. Of course, there was always a large group that went, but adding on a few more wouldn't be harmful. "I'd like for Celina and her family to join us. We could make it for a weekend in July, nothing too big, just a nice little addition to the trip we usually take. What do you say, Mrs Jedynak?"
Turning to Celina, Felicity couldn't hold back the small bout of laughter she had. Her mum had just treated her friend as though she'd known her all of her life, that was good. At least she hadn't brushed it all off, of course her mum wasn't the type to do so. A hug was a wonderful greeting, and now Celina could easily see where she got it from. "She likes hugs, thinks they're good for people."
Moving closer to Drew, she slid and arm around him, thinking that her dad would probably be all right with that, it was something she would do with just about anyone, so why not with Drew? Hearing a bit of her dad's conversation, she giggled, hoping Celina would be allowed to go.

“It looks wonderful,” Elizabeth reassured Meadow and nodded while looking around a bit more. As Mrs Hjort complimented Celina, Elizabeth beamed and Celina blushed a bit just barely catching the whisper. Were they talking about her? She shyly looked away as her face became a subtle shade of pink. Elizabeth smiled at the woman and nodded in thanks.
As Meadow moved away from Elizabeth, Celina hadn’t realized what she was doing until her arms were bound in a hug from Felicity’s mother. Her face turned even more red, almost the shade of a beat by this time, unaware of how the Hjorts did things. Sure, Felicity hugged her all the time, but she wasn’t expecting the older woman to do the same. The hug was warm and comforting like her own mother’s hugs, and when she finally realized that it was alright, Celina hugged her back and smiled, relaxing her body. As Meadow spoke with her, she giggled a bit as she joked about Felicity and squeezed the woman a bit tighter. “Thank you for inviting me…” she said softly trailing off.
Watching her daughter and the Meadow, Elizabeth felt a sense of security she normally didn’t feel, especially with Celina around. It was comforting to see that she’d be left in a place that would do her some good, instead of the usual harm that seemed to follow her naive dark haired child. Yes, even she admitted that her child was a bit sheltered, but it was truly for her own safety. For Celina, Elizabeth felt that the saying ‘ignorance is bliss’ fit to a tee, and wasn’t for the world about to let anyone ruin her of that. Whatever small bliss Celina was able to find from it, Elizabeth would make sure to protect that.
However, as Ib started talking about forming an actual camping trip, her nerves and alertness of the situation at hand came back to her. “Oh, I mean…if we can find the time to get away that is,” she calmly tried to explain. “There’s just so much….” Looking at Celina, she could see the slight disappointment appear on her daughter’s face. Her mother was basically turning down an outing with a family that even though Elizabeth approved of, both of the Jedynak women knew it was not completely safe to be seen with. They were not purebloods, and even though Celina nor Elizabeth had a problem with this, they knew parts of their family would.
Walking up to her mother slowly, Celina turned a bit to look at both Felicity and Drew giving them a reassuring smile that everything was ok. “Ma’ma…it’s a bit aways…” and with that Elizabeth nodded. “We can try our hardest to keep our schedules free,” she agreed not looking at the Hjorts, but at the young girl who had latched on to her dress once more. Celina smiled brightly, and hugged her mother around the waist, thanking her without voicing it.
Pulling back from her hug she ran over to Felicity’s side and nodded when she mentioned her mother liking hugs. “I can see where you get it now…” she said softly but warmly. Hugging Felicity a bit before she had gone to Drew Celina sighed. Her mother on the other hand looked at her with adoration, but anticipation in her eyes. She had to leave before it became too late. “Alright then, I must be off. I’m so glad I met all of you, Felicity, Drew….Ib, Meadow…” Elizabeth stuck her hand out for each again as she went to leave. Turning to Felicity’s parents, however, she had one last question. “So, when would be appropriate to retrieve my daughter from your company?” Elizabeth didn’t want Celina to over stay her welcome to quickly, just in case they felt her rude by it. She smiled warmly and awaited their response as Celina rushed back to her mother’s side and hugged her goodbye. Celina was excited, and hoped the night would be as amazing as she could possibly think of it.

Drew had kept quite through most of the conversation, having nothing to add. When Felicity put an arm around her he smiled at her and put his own arm around her waist. Of course, if Mr. Hjort decided to turn his glare on the Ravenclaw, Drew would drop his hold on her. Drew was quite certain that one of the best ways to keep dating Felicity was not to piss off her dad.
"I'm going back to the Wenderling afterwards," Drew told Mrs. Jedynak when she mentioned picking up Celina. "I could walk Celina back to her brother's if you'd like." He wasn't sure how Celina would like the offer, but he figured he should still put it out there.

As Drew spoke up, both Jedynaks were taken aback a bit. Elizabeth’s eyes filled with a bit of concern as well as a tad hint of fear as Celina’s filled fully with regret and defeat. Not with what Drew said, but with the idea of Alfonz and what was happening in their family at that time. “Thank you, so very much,” Elizabeth said warmly to Drew, “Unfortunately, Alfonz is away for a bit and was unable to house Celina for the rest of the break. She’s actually staying at home whe….” Elizabeth was about to continue with where she belongs but decided better against it seeing the look of now sadness that flushed through Celina’s eyes.
Celina looked up though, and with all of her might she managed a smile. “Some business trip or something…” she rolled her eyes at Drew signifying that she didn’t care, even though it was plain to see that she truly did care. She had no idea where Aflonz had run off to, and because of it she wouldn’t be under the stars like he promised her at midnight. Her father had told her when she returned home that that was how the real world worked and that she had to get her head out of the clouds if she was ever thinking of making it in life. Celina looked back toward her mother and shrugged.
“But thank you again. Celina told me you’ve been a very helpful soul. The both of you…” Elizabeth nodded at Drew and then Felicity. And with that she turned back to the Hjorts for their answer. But as she did, a hint of foreboding tension could be felt between the Jedynak women. Like something just wasn’t fitting together correctly.

"Oh... okay..." Drew answered casually, shrugging it off like it was nothing. He cold tell it wasn't though, just by their expressions. He had known that Celina had actually been looking forward to... practicing hard for... the broom ride she had planned with her brother for the weekend. It had been cancelled, but Drew still wasn't sure why this business trip of Alfonz's took so long. When Tad went on trips it was only for a couple of days and while Tad probably would have stayed back the extra day or two to party with his buddies, Drew was surprised Alfonz had broken the promise to Celina.
