Shae lifted her luggage out of the carriage and onto the platform at Hogsmeade village. She'd be meeting Helene in Paris for a Girl's weekend before Marius joined them in Flanders and from there she expected to return to England with them. It was a relief to be leaving Hogwarts after the past term. She hadn't met Helene before but any face that wasn't a familiar one certainly was welcome. She went over her repetoire:
--- Travel to King's Cross Station, London --- Switch to Muggle Transport (good grief... that meant changing her robes to the concealing stiff Muggle-wear) --- Remember to get off in Paris Station 2 (shouldn't be too difficult) --- If you forget to get off in Station 2, Helene will meet you in Bruxelles...
That would be a big mistake, if Shae had her European bearings correct!

Chris wandered away from his parents, who had slipped into a shop on a side street, and truthfully Chris didn't really care about staying with them. He wandered toward the strain station, a part of the town that he liked more than others. His family made yearly trips to Hogsmeade as a means for his mother to spend as much money as she could on completely useless artifacts. As for his stepfather - he drank his pains away. As summer had just begun, as it was a nice day, Chris wanted to stay outside and watch the Hogwarts students come and go by the station. As he approached, Chris spotted a very interesting looking girl. She looked foreign, but foreign in an exotic way. Yes, she must be from the colonies in India. He moved toward her, trying to look pleasant. He felt foul... his stepbrothers were in the pub... the return trip home would be unbearable.
Stepping onto the platform, Chris smiled. "G'day to ya miss. Care for a chat?"
