Rollo appeared with a pop in the St. Mungo’s lobby. Most people wouldn’t be that distracted by this act. Apparatation was an everyday part of wizard life but the way that Rollo Winner did this at the moment turned more then a few heads. He landed heavily on his feet which buckled underneath the pressure that his body provided. Hitting the ground he landed first on his hands and knees giving his body just enough time to cough up blood from his mouth and all over the clean hospital floor. Well mostly clean of course with the exception of the blood that had already splattered from his shirt. Rollo wasn’t to sure whether it was the weight of his body, the fact that he had possibly broken his wrists or the fact that his hand slipped on the blood that surrounded his body now but the rest of his body fell forward. Laying there in the puddle of blood Rollo assumed he would die now. It was fitting that he be killed by an animal after all but then again one deft blow from a dragon tail would kill most people on impact. At least Rollo could say he was a fighter. The pool of blood grew and he just hoped that the blood resembled a halo around his head. It was the way he’d prefer to look before he died. Rollo had seen it before in pictures mostly of suicides when people jumped. They looked so peaceful and the halo the blood made gave the impression of a serene peaceful feeling. Rollo knew this wasn’t the case for him though and then his brain jogged. It was as if it were adrenaline. Tuesday. His brain was screaming at him to live if only for that day. Why though Rollo didn’t know at the moment and blamed this on the large amount of blood that had been drained from his body. With another jog of his memory though it all came back to Rollo in one large quick flash. Tuesday he was supposed to meet Luce the beautiful girl he had meet in the ministry just the other day for lunch. Rollo smiled oddly and decided he mine as well attempt to make it just to see that…that beautiful girl. Lifting himself Rollo wretched blood from his mouth once more, his hair a mixture of individual hairs hanging and sticking to his forehead as he attempted to stand so he could walk to the desk. Failing to stand the first attempt someone rushed to his side and tried to aid him in his second attempt but swatting there hand away Rollo managed to make it to his own two feet. Dragging himself over to the desk he leaned and coughed up more blood the desk woman looking repulsed by the display all the while. Didn’t they see things like this every day though? Shouldn’t they as hospital workers be used to this by now? Rollo brought his thoughts back quickly he didn’t have much time and he knew this. “I-I-I’m Rollo Winner. D-d-d-r-agon wounds b-b-b-roke-n-n r-ribs, s-s-s-s-tomach wounds, f-fractured w-w-w-w-w-w-rist possibly and also possible fractured skull.” Rollo stuttered through most of the documentation of his wounds but then finished in a hurry. The possible fractured skull hadn’t happened yet but he decided to throw that in there. This was for the pure and simple fact that in one swift movement Rollo collapsed after saying his last words. His head cracked off the desk as he slipped from it and then hit the ground hard. Rollo with his last glimpses now saw people rush around him to his aid. Was it possible that he’d live even with this much blood gone from his body? Looking up with his last moments of consciousness Rollo could have swore he saw her. Lifting his hand he reached out not caring how she saw him or even if she was real at the moment. Speaking with his last breath he cried, which translated into a normal person’s regular voice tone, her name dropping his hand. “Luce!” If it was her he didn’t know but if he lived through this Rollo decided that he would kiss this girl no matter how much of a fool he felt like. He felt himself being lifted onto some form of gurney and couldn’t help but think that at least he hadn’t broken his wand during the venture. He rather liked the thing. Blinking he realized that rational thought was the last thing he was capable of at that given moment. Staring at the ceiling Rollo realized the futility of attempting to stay awake and simply let himself black out. Closed/Luce

Having done a sixteen hour shift the day before, it was needless to say that Luce was getting tired, and ultimately, frustrated with her job. Sure, she had always wanted to be a healer, one might say that it was a respectable job, but she hadn't really expected the workload to be so large. The amount of accidents wizards got in, usually if she treated a person that worked a dangerous job, they'd be back within a fortnight. When she had first started off, she had been behind the other interns, but as the year progressed, she felt herself catch up; if it wasn't her skills, it was her commendable bed side manner.
As over-confident as this might sound, Luce felt that she was at the same level as the others, if not passed it. She was more polite, she was dedicated, and she was pretty good at her healing. Luce still had a long way to go, as did any second year healer-in-training, but when she thought about how well she was doing now, it made her want to keep going. Luce never abandoned things, though she might have put them on hold for a bit, but the young french girl knew that she would do anything to keep this dream alive.
She was currently looking for a second job, a job where she could actually earn some money that she could spend on herself. Luce had come from a rich family, hence the reason she did not have to pay a mortgage, or rent, on the house in which she resided in, but with travel and food expenses, Luce didn't have any money to treat herself with, and for a twenty year old female, that was pretty damn important.
"What did one eye say to the other eye?" Luce drew her eyes from the chart that she had been looking at for what seemed like forever, to the familiar face of Jonathon, an accident prone ministry worker. "I don't know, Mr. Smith. What did the eye say?" She smiled to the man, who was only three years older than the blonde. "There's something that smells between us." Holding her hand to her mouth, to muffle the laugh, Luce winked to the man. "That's funny. You should tell it to your son. I'm sure he'd like it." She commented, before pulling the curtain back and exiting the make-shift room.
During her talk with Mr. Smith, Luce could have sworn that she had heard her name been called out, but she was rather far away from the nurses station, she couldn't have been sure. Shrugging it off, Luce wandered away to another patient, who greeted her with a smile. "Back again? I'm gonna have to wrap you in cotton wo-..." She began, before she saw someone that she didn't want to see, not in that situation anyway. Her mind racing around the track, Luce looked back at her patient. "What day is it?" "Tuesday, love."
Almost running in the direction of Rollo, Luce stepped into the circle of healers, before being pushed back, with the slightly menacing comment, "We've got it, intern." Watching as wands were brandished, blood was seemingly evaporated, and wounds were cleaned, Luce held her hand to her mouth, attempting to not let the surrealism of the incident get to her.

Rollo Winner, even in his childhood, did not have dreams when he laid his head down to rest. Throughout his life Rollo had heard of other children talk of the dreams they had but he had none. In the metaphorical sense Rollo had dreams. He like everyone else wished to accomplish things and get to a certain point in life but any images or portrayals of what it may look like when he did never entered his mind. While most people slept and dreamed of things waking up with satisfaction the most Rollo thought about in his youth when he awoke in the morning was why he had a crick in his back every third week in the month. His mattress was after all quite comfortable. Now a days he worried about whether his face looked like a keyboard when he awoke. That and the awkwardness of sleeping while sitting all night were the only real downfalls of his piano bed. So as Rollo blacked out and slept in a bed for the first time in years nothing floated through his brain and had it not been for a pulse most people would have assumed him dead.
Rollo's eyes flickered and he sat up some what surprised he was alive. Gaining awareness though he assessed the damage that had been done this time. He felt the bandage that was around his stomach and then noticed one constricting his hair. At least he had guessed right and the breath and effort used had not been wasted. Sighing Rollo took in his surroundings trying to figure out what his situation was. Rollo took note of his belongs that rested next to his bed. It wasn't much just his clothes, cigarettes, lighter, and wand after all that was all he really needed on any given day. What day was it though after all he was supposed to meet Luce on Tuesday and then it hit Rollo. Luce. With that it all came to Rollo hitting him like a train. Had he really seen her? Had he lost that much blood that he had imagined seeing Luce? She worked here after all so it wasn't that far of a stretch. Was it Tuesday? He couldn't remember but if it was he needed to meet her and that could not be done while he was lying in a hospital bed.
"To hell with this."
Rollo sat up letting his cold feet hit the floor tiles. It sent a shock up his spine and brought about him his usual awareness. Grabbing the pack of cigarettes he slipped one out and lit it up. Mind racing Rollo pulled on his pants trying to come up with some sort of plan should he run into her. It was simple enough Rollo realized the more he thought about it. If he should run into her he'd simply say that he couldn't wait to see her so that's why he was there. That was of course if it wasn't Tuesday. If it was in fact Tuesday Rollo would say that he had decided to pick her up here rather then meet her there. That of course had never been defined in what they would do. Inhaling for more then a second Rollo managed to pull the shirt on over without putting anymore burn holes in it then the dragon had. Rollo released the smoke from his mouth pleased that he had managed to formulate some kind of plan on the spot. Slipping his shoes on he placed his remaining cigarettes in his back pocket along with his lighter and his wand in his side pocket. Looking around Rollo panicked as there was no ash tray. In a move of desperation that he only usually used when drunk Rollo swallowed the remnants of the cigarette and was pleased that it went much better then he had planned. Today just might end up being okay especially if it was really Tuesday and he made a clean break. Standing up Rollo tested his feet quickly and pulled the curtain back from around his bed to leave but stopped where he stood.
"Oh um Hey there Luce how's it uh going?
Rollo defeated removed the cigarettes from his back pocket and set them on the table where they had been. Silently he plopped back down on the bed not knowing what to expect but regardless hoped the girl had no seen him in his injured state. If so he doubted she would want to be with him after today was a regular day for him the injuries nothing new what so ever. Sighing he thought about lighting up another cigarette but decided against it seeing as it probably wasn't allowed. That hadn't stopped him before but Luce was here now and as she had just proven she could stop him in his tracks. Rollo waited nervously to see what the girl would say.

It had been a hard day, that was expected, but with the appearance of Rollo, someone that Luce was hoping to call her friend, the day had become even more exhausting. She didn't really know how to react, to be honest, but as usual, the girl decided that she'd just wing it. Heck, to be honest, Luce didn't really know what had happened to the man; she had watched them take care of him, but after that, she had to go back to treating Mr. Ives, who was just as curious to find out what had happened as the girl. Of course, it may have been an accidental thing, or the boy may have been a little more messed up than Luce's first presumptions, but truth be told, Luce didn't know what could have caused it.
But whatever it was, it looked painful. Luce checked on the man, who was still unconscious, but as she wasn't his Healer, she couldn't see his chart because, well, it wasn't there. "Ms. Beauvais? What are you doing in that patients room, instead of being where you should be?" Luce heard the voice of her supervisor, the intern directer, the pain in the bum at the hospital. "Nothing, sir. I was just getting back to Mr. Ives." She said, almost killing herself inside. She had promised that she would never become a sycophant, but when you were at the bottom of the pile, there wasn't much way to get up.
Directing her eyes away from her supervisor, in order not to have to make more conversation with the horrid man. As immature as it was, he scared Luce, big time. Hearing the curtains behind her being drawn, as she pretended to write on her patients chart, Luce looked back to see the familiar face of someone that she'd rather was not there. Not because she didn't like him, no, but because she wouldn't want to see anyone that she was friends with hurt or in pain.
" 'ey." Luce said, eying the cigarettes on the table. She could still smell the distinct smell of the smoke, and as much as the girl hated herself for saying it, she couldn't help it, as her supervisor was still floating around. "I'm sorry, but there is no smoking allowed in the 'osptial." Luce spoke, a slightly scared, nervous look on her face. "May I ask, what 'appened? Before, I mean."

Rollo had expected her scolding for his smoking so that came as no surprise. After all this was her workplace and why shouldn't she try to enforce it's rules to the best of her ability. Had it been the ministry Rollo would have most likely smoked anyway but he'd do this he supposed..for her anyway. As she asked the question though Rollo shifted now feeling as if the curtains were surrounding and capturing him in the bed that had granted him a few hours of comfort. Trying to make himself comfortable he slipped his shoes back off and now sat cross legged on the hospital bed turning over words in his head. With a sigh he looked up and couldn't help but shrug a little hopelessly. What could he say about this other then the truth. Rollo didn't want Luce to know for the simple fact that he thought it may scare her away from him. Rollo did not want any such thing to happen but knew that she had seen so he mine as well let her know what happened after all lying was not an option at all then of course he wouldn't lie to her.
"Well um you know I was at work and I got a restraint call for what I was told was Ukrainian Iron Belly but turned out to be more of two Iron Belly's one of which happened to be a nesting mother. How of course the person managed to keep the thing hidden for that long is beyond me but they did and well I guess you could say I um had a run in trying to disarm or rather knock them out so they could be transported and well you know there was only two of us and one thing lead to another. To be honest I don't remember much of it only that I'm positive we got the job done and then I got here and um well honestly I thought I was going to die. So that's um how I ended up here run of the mill really much more pleasant then my werewolf experiences though I must say."
Rollo really did not know what else to say at the moment and stared down at the floor hoping she wouldn't turn tail and run. After all who would want anything to do with a mess like him? He was a risk to have around for the sole reason that he seemed to be accident and injury prone. One day he was there and the next he could most likely not be due to his job and lifestyle and who wanted that in there life? Rollo shook his head knowing that Luce most likely did not want that in her life and why would such a beautiful and charming girl want anything to do with a train wreck like him. Rollo at this point was convincing himself that the only reason she had agreed to lunch with him because she most likely felt sorry for him. With a sigh he looked up using what courage and confidence he had to muster his next words.
"So um when do you think they'll let me out of here?"
It was something he wanted to know after all he couldn't wait to get out of this place. Granted she had seen him now but that didn't remove the fact that he now felt the curtains were acting as a prison. A cigarette would have helped in this situation but Luce was here and he would do as she told him to after all she surely wouldn't want anything to do with him should he get her in trouble.

Blushing from the complaint that the girl was forced to push in, Luce had wished that she had never opened her mouth. She really didn't want the boy to hate her; I mean, who actually wanted someone to dislike them? Luce couldn't help but want to please everyone, it was just the kind of person that she had grown to be, she hadn't yet learnt to cope with the pressure that someones hatred for her put her under. But the situation had passed, and the boy seemed to realise that it was hospital protocol, he wasn't too cut up about it all.
Walking over to the bed, before pulling herself up next to the boy, Luce smiled. Although no one could ever think this about themselves without being burned at the stake for vanity, Luce had noticed that when she smiled, other people around her started to grin as well. It truely was contagious, but in the good sense of the word; Luce had seen way to many weird diseases to be able to say that word comfortable without clarification. Looking down at her knees shyly, as her feet swung to and fro, Luce looked up to hear the ending of the boys story.
"Wow. You must be beat." She said simply, not knowing what else to say. Offering a small chuckle to the boy, hoping that he'd crack a smile, Luce's gaze returned down to her knees, as she counted how many times her feet swung into view. She hadn't yet taken her lunch break, but she wasn't sure when the boy was allowed to leave; Luce decided to stay at the hospital and delay her eating time, as it didn't seem that the boy was going to be let off on time. Looking up to listen to the boy's next question, Luce's features twisted into a somewhat confused state.
"You know, you'd really have to ask him." She said, leaning over towards the boy, pointing in the direction of a man with a rather thick beard. "Dr. Reid was you're healer. You were lucky to have him." She said, looking towards the boy that she sat with, though she knew that this was not the way she was picturing it. The situation, it was not that of a school yard crush, this boy was a man, and she wasn't a little girl anymore. Grinning shyly, as if she were about to say something, Luce couldn't help but want to get to know the boy. "I hope soon."

Rollo sat nervously waiting for Luce's response to what he had said. It was in fact nerve racking for the simple reason that Rollo did not want to put her off in any way shape or form. He was positive that the only thing that could steer her further away from him was his nights at the Cauldron. This though could be worse seeing as she would probably prefer drinking to seeing the man torn up in her lobby every other day of the week. While that was a bit of an exaggeration Rollo knew but he was in the hospital quite often. Who would want that as a boyfriend. Rollo realized he was getting ahead of himself once more and that more importantly someone as beautiful and kind as Luce was too far out of his league. Why he continued to entertain the idea that she would be interested in him was quite beyond Rollo and he needed to get it out of his head. So she agreed to go to lunch with him that didn't mean she was really interested in him at all.
Shaking his head when her answer finally came Rollo chuckled lightly and shook his head. She seemed okay with the fact that he was going out and pretty much throwing caution when he did his job. That didn't mean it improved his chances with her at all but it just seemed that the fact that Rollo's job required him to dodge fire, fangs, and on occasion spiked tails. He couldn't help but feel grateful at the notion just like he couldn't help but feel grateful that she didn't make a big deal out of his scars and still touched them as if they were normal and nothing out of the ordinary. It was he knew odd but the creeping sense that Luce was perfect began to grow on Rollo although he figured that most likely he was just that enamored with the french girl. Luce was in Rollo's opinion nothing short of an angel.
"Yeah that's one way of putting it I suppose."
Rollo listened to her next sentence and turned it over for a moment. He never adhered to check out times or anything of that nature and usually just bolted so what would stop him now? Granted Luce had managed to stop him in his tracks but she was well Luce and no Dr. Reid would be able to halt him in his footsteps. The man while Rollo was sure he was an amazing healer he would be no match for Rollo if he really wanted to get out of this place. Notably it was the one thing Rollo prided himself in and he had in fact mastered it during his time at Hogwarts. While he played Quidditch and was a very talented chaser while others celebrated victory Rollo slipped out the back. It was hard to escape such a mob unscathed but Rollo by his fourth year had managed to do so with extreme ease. This was the exact skill he had used in previous visits and would use now if of course Luce wanted to come with him. If she stayed Rollo would in fact stay but if she agreed to go then they would bolt. Moving his hand to her he grasped it lightly and cracked a small smile letting her know that he wanted her to come with him on his venture outside.
"Well regardless I've ducked out of here before and your beautiful face was the only thing that stopped when I was about to before. So how do you feel about ducking out with me now?"
Rollo had not expected to be so brash or forward for that matter but he had been. Rollo had not intended to let her know he thought she was beautiful but that had slipped out. Regardless he waited calmly for her answer hoping that it would be a yes.

Although she wasn't really sure what caused this feeling, Luce was fairly sure that she looked like an idiot. The things that Rollo said; he was funny, and at times, made Luce's cheeks rise in colour and temperature. He wasn't that different to the guys that Luce usually went for, much different to Sebastian. It wasn't a better or worse different, it was just, not the same as. She felt so innocent, so young, so childish, a feeling that Luce hadn't experienced, well, ever. She never was the quiet, innocent one, but there was something so... rogue about Rollo.
Shrugging her shoulders tentatively, Luce couldn't help but feel stupid for her remark. Couldn't she have come up with something witty, or even intelligent? Luce wasn't as smart as Einstein, but she wasn't just a ditzy blonde; this guy was probably beginning to think that that was all she was. Another thing that Luce experienced when she was around the boy was that she became shyer. She was scared that the boy was going to hate her, to cast her aside. She didn't want him to think badly of her, more so than everyone else.
As Luce felt the boys hand upon her own, she couldn't help but smile. Looking around to find a clock to tell her what the time was, Luce couldn't find any indication. She couldn't just sneak out, she'd get in too much trouble, though she was incredibly tempted to take the boy up on his offer. As thoughts ran through her mind, his question running through and through, Luce giggled and blushed as she realised what the boy had said. If she hadn't made enough of a fool of herself, she just took out the honors.
"I'll be right back." She said, wandering out of the makeshift room, closing the curtains behind her. "Doctor? Doctor? Hi." She said, her hands fidgeting behind her back, her nerves showing through. "Would it be alright if I had the rest of the afternoon off, or at least a few hours? I have... somewhere to be." Luce asked, her mouth twisting into a slight smile, as if to raise her hopes. "Sure. Lizzie's on call anyway, she won't mind the extra money. But be here at five tomorrow, you can do the double shift. No late nights, eh?" The second in charge doctor spoke to her, a lady that Luce was yet to familiarise herself with.
Almost running back to Rollo's sectioned off area (a lot of beds were sectioned off, he wasn't the only one), Luce popped her head into the split in the curtain. "Let's go." Luce smiled sweetly, hoping the boy could get himself out without making a fuss.

Had anything changed on Luce's face in the minutes after he touched her hand Rollo would have not been able to tell anyone what those expressions looked like. In this period of time Rollo was far too focused on the fact that she did not move her hand. That Rollo's hand was clasped gently around hers for more then a second managed to send him into a spiral of bliss. It was in fact the first hand he had ever held, other then his parents or some drunk who was helping him home of course, and the fact that it was of this beautiful girls seemed to make all the difference in Rollo's mind. Her smooth skin touching the rough dry palms of his hands was nothing short of heavenly and silently Rollo wished it would never end but knew that it would in fact do so. Rollo however was not ready for the feeling and experience to end as soon as it did and felt her hand slip out of his with in a few minutes possibly even seconds time. Rollo had not been timing it so how could he know how long it had been.
Rollo realized that before the feeling itself had hit him that he had said something but now for the life of him he couldn’t remember what it was. If he could it would explain to him why Luce was disappearing from the small area that was designated his in the hospital. As she left reassuring her return first though Rollo remembered and felt like making a clean leap through the window. He had of course not hit him when he held her hand but he had been blunt and honest. While he was usually honest Rollo did not tend to be so brutally blunt and he had never in fact told any girl that she was in fact flat out beautiful like he had just now to Luce. Rollo though as he turned the thoughts over in his head decided that since she had not smacked him, yelled at him for opening his mouth, or in fact was still talking to him meant that he should just let the comments he made sit though and not talk about them again. After all it was most likely best to let sleeping dogs lie in this situation.
Rollo saw Luce's head peak now into the curtains and he could not help but think once more how beautiful she managed to look no matter what she did. Rollo felt in some odd twisted way that if he was in fact going to be hurt he would not mind getting hurt and end up in this hospital just so he could hopefully fall into her care. It wasn't like Rollo was now going to make it his top priority to get hurt more often at work but it was something he wouldn't mind as much doing if in fact it meant getting to see Luce's shining face when he awoke after staggering into the hospital as he had done earlier today. Granted it would mean more scar, broken bones, and what would amount to a much shorter life span for Rollo but really he didn't mind the idea of any of those things that much. At the moment she was really the only thing that even made life seem worth anything but Rollo knew that he was most likely getting ahead of himself once more.
Then something hit Rollo and before he could dwell on it long enough he decided that now was the best time to make a break for it. Pulling the ridiculous bandage off his head he stood up making sure he once again had all his belongings in their respective pockets and walked up to the curtain. Pulling it back quickly Rollo offered his arm just as he had in the ministry, this time not dwelling on his scars, and smiled sheepishly once more.
"Well shall we go then?”
