[ Full Character Name: ] Milo Alexander Bach
[ Character Gender: ] Male
[Character Age:] 49, born in 1959
[ Position Requesting: ] Head of Department of Magical Law Enforcement
[ Country of Citizenship: ] United Kingdom and Germany ( Dual Citizenship )
[ Blood Status: ] Pure Blood
[Years of Employment at Ministry:] 28, started working at the Ministry at the age of 21 as an Auror
[ Physical Character Description: ]
Milo Alexander is known for several things physically, his height of six foot three, his stunning eyes, and the way he dresses. He can hardly ever be found in what people call ‘ casual wear, ‘ and finds the idea of such below him. He is a powerful man, and should dress the part. His everyday attire usually consists of dress pants and ironed shirts. It is his belief that in order to be important, you must look important. In his younger days his hair would be a dark shade of brown, but as he grows older he finds it growing slightly lighter with gray.
His facial features are average, wrinkled with age, frown and laugh lines alike. He is an ordinary man concerning his face, although he does have a thin scar running along his jaw line and down on the left side of his neck. This was an injury received from when he was in his years of auror training. Some find him intimidating, from his appearance to his stature, or even to his overall attitude towards people. His eyes are thought to be his best feature, a remarkable shade of light gray with tiny black flecks in them. While they are simply stunning, it can be noted that despite the fact that a smile or grin might cross his face, his eyes remain in the same state. However, he hardly lets people linger on him long enough to notice such trivial things as that. He keeps his distance, and would recommend that you do the same.
Milo possesses a traditional body type for males in his family, built well, strong and muscular. Even as he ages he still maintains a fit body for the sake of his occupation.
[ Personality Character Description: ]
There are many sides to Milo’s personality. He can be tough, angry, and absurdly conceited, but at times he can also be a kind hearted man as well. It all depends on several factors such as who he happens to be around, where he is, and what the purpose of him being there is at all. He is a rather aggressive person both in his personal life and in business, which is why he has been able to work his way up in the Ministry from Auror to the head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. Milo is also rather ambitious, which is, again, another characteristic that helps him in his job. He can be cocky and full of himself, knowing full well that he is good at the job he does, but he can also be modest when modesty is called for.
Milo is a man made up of many things, and one thing he values more than anything is honesty. He also uses this in his profession, he is more likely to go easier on someone if they are completely honest with him than if they are not. It is in his nature to keep to himself at most times, preferring not to get too close to people if at all possible. He keeps them at a distance, which is the main reason why most of his relationships, and even friendships at times, came to an end.
He tends to be a dark character at times, lacking in any remorse for things he’s done. He has become hardened through his line of work, often not showing compassion or sympathy towards the criminals he helps put in Azkaban. Milo is very loyal to his kin, especially his twin sisters Abigail and Emilia who are three years his junior. He has a rare closeness with them, bonding over their less than perfect childhood. He is not close to his parents at all who are seventy two years of age.
[ History: ]
Milo Alexander Bach was born in Berlin, Germany on July second in the year 1959. His parents, Alexander and Kristen Bach, were very happy about the arrival of their first child. He was everything they could have hoped for, a strong willful young lad. When Milo was two years of age it was decided that the family should moved to London, England. There would be more job opportunities for Alexander there to support his growing family. Germany was still on it’s way up, recovering from the muggle World War Two, which had very much affected the wizarding and muggle communities alike.
After the relocation, Alexander made his living doing small odd jobs for money, a galleon here, and a galleon there; anything to keep his family off of the streets. Once Alexander had a stable job as a barkeep in a local wizarding pub in London and Kristen managed to obtain the job of maid for a world renowned wizarding family on the outskirts of England, the two once again started to expand their family. Milo was soon joined by twin girls, Abigail and Emilia. They were three years younger than him, and Milo took his job as elder brother very seriously. The family never had much money to spare, but Milo always managed to keep things lively around their small two bedroom home. He would make up games for the three children to play while his parents were working at their jobs or merely working about the house.
The Bach family never had much to be proud of, their clothes were always a little too worn, their faces a little too dirty, but there was always something Milo’s father told him to be proud of; his blood, just as the blood of his father and mother, was pure. His heritage was made up entirely of wizards and witches, it was who he was. This was what kept the family going through hard times.
Milo Alexander grew up a very normal child, given the circumstances. His family was poor, and he resented them for it. He always wanted more than he could have, growing jealous very quickly of people who had more things than him. Despite his kind start, as he grew he seemed to become more ornery towards his parents. Milo was a trouble child, he threw tantrums when he could not get what he wanted, which was quite often. He was a handful for his parents, who already had an incredible amount of stress on them due to money, family and work issues.
When Milo was ten years old, eight years after his family had made the move to London, his father lost his job as a barkeep at the local Wizard’s pub. Hard times fell on the family, so much that the twins went to live with the their grandparents back in Germany. Milo was kept in London with his parents. It was said that even though he was the hardest child of all to be around, that he would be starting his schooling at Hogwart’s School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Nothing pleased Milo more than to know that he would be attending the greatest wizarding school in all of the land. He, like so many other before him, would attend the school.
Right after his eleventh birthday, Milo received his letter from the school. He could barely contain himself. His grandparents even sent some money over to him so he could buy himself new robes to begin his schooling career with. Although he didn’t have the best of anything, Milo made his time at the school worthwhile. He was a very attentive student, achieving good marks in almost all of his classes. Milo would have been classified as a typical Ravenclaw if it wasn’t for his contempt for people with more things than him. He loathed them to a point of hatred. It was that, and the fact that Milo was rather proud of his pure-blood heritage, that made him a perfect fit for the great and honorable house of Slytherin.
Milo experienced a great seven years at the school, making many friends, and enemies alike. It had been decided for him that he would train to be an Auror. Nothing pleased him more than to think of the certain power he could obtain with such a job. He had control over people’s lives, and mostly, he had control over his life. Following his graduation from Hogwart’s Milo worked his way up in his Auror’s training classes to become the top of his class. He was an excellent spell caster, it was one of his strong suits in school and also helped him in his field of work.
Working in an at risk job, Milo never settled down to create a family of his own. While he had girlfriends on and off, none of them seemed to understand his ambition to climb his way to the top at the Ministry of Magic. The women in his life came and went, but his job remained a constant influence in his life as he worked his way up.
[ Pros and Cons : ]
Milo Alexander Bach’s loyalty to his family cannot be questioned, he knows that without them he would be nothing. Although there were plenty of problems in the family when Milo was growing up, he would not replace his family for another. He is proud of his heritage as a pure blood wizard, but does not always let it show. He is usually hesitant when showing such things to people. He is cautious at most times, a trait he finds to be both good and bad. For his job he finds it essential to be quick on his feet as well as quick minded. While being cautious can be good for some things, he takes his cautious nature for granted at times.
He is very ambitious in his career and very determined to make it to the top. He is a very intelligent man, skilled in the arts of deceit, fraud, and hypocrisy and uses them to his full advantage, whether it be in work or in play.
Milo is also a very conceited man, he knows what he can do well and excels very well at his job. He has an intense determination to do his job correctly and get it done as quickly as possible. In the years following the Second War there were many things to do in the Auror branch of the Ministry. They were in charge of catching what was left of the remaining Death Eaters and those associated with them. Milo did very well at this, organizing several of the many investigations that occurred at that time. Most of the known Death Eaters had vanished when their leader had fallen at the young Harry Potter, so the investigations required a lot of digging on the Ministry’s part to find any information on the people. Milo made himself known through these events, showing that he was at the top of his game as an Auror.

[Writing/Role Playing Example:]
August 24, 1979
Milo shook his head slightly as he walked towards the door of his small apartment, withdrawing the key from his pocket and inserting it into the key hole, turning it and hearing the satisfactory clicking noise. He opened the door slowly, turning as he walked inside and lighting several candles with his wand along the way. The small living room was flooded with light, showing his dismal living place. It was quite dreary, the walls a sickly gray color, the furniture looking extremely beat up and old.
He was quite relieved to be home, the day had been full of reviewing defensive spells in Auror Training. Milo was quite close to graduation, but with the War still going on, the training process was slow, Aurors and instructors needed elsewhere, not just at the Academy. They were needed all over, to protect higher ups in the Ministry, to watch over Hogwart's, some even stationed in Hogsmeade. It was becoming harder and harder for the trainee Aurors to come across well qualified teachers, but they always managed.
And just as much as he was relieved to be home, he was also a little frustrated. His home was less than lovely to look at, he had recently moved in to the small place. It was quite ugly, and very much below him as far as he was concerned, but it was good enough. Milo stepped more into the dinky apartment now, lighting more candles and lamps with his wand as he walked about, finally stopping to put his cloak on a hanger in the entrance closet. It was very much empty, small and dark just as the apartment itself. One would think that such a depressing place would make the occupant a bit depressed himself, but that was not such the case for Milo. His spirits were high despite all that was going on in the Wizarding World. He had done very well in his training class today, the spells coming quite easily to him to the point where he barely had to try to defend himself. It was a miracle that some of the other students had even come this far in the program. Milo was an exception, he did very well in almost all aspects of the Auror Training program.
