November 22, 2008
The snow fell lightly from the open sky as the day lit that morning. Everything looked promising, the weather was fair enough for late November and students spirits rang through the corridors excitedly as all gathered round making sure they were set to make the trip into Hogsmeade. Students in Third Year or above were given the chance to make their way on a most wonderful trip into the only purely wizarding town in Great Britain. If slips were signed, they were allowed to attend, the caretaker was set to check slips to be sure no student without permission was taking the trip.
Carriages were set up for students to use, though they were also allowed to walk into the town, taking a bit more time, but just as exciting as being pulled by invisible forces for most.
The town was ready, knowing it'd been a long time since the last visit from the magical school of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Everyone was busy making preparations, businesses were stocked to the ceilings, vendors were in alley ways ready to convince students of their needs that were not necessary, and the Three Broomsticks had plenty of butterbeer on hand for the cold bodies that would flood into the warmth of the pub.
Everything was ready. As the morning progressed, time winding down for students to be ready to go, the snow continued its soft fluttering into the whirlwind of excitement.
((Students and staff may begin posting in Hogsmeade. Extreme apologies for the lateness of the thread. Have fun!))

Today was the day. The Hogsmeade Trip. Though, today, he was going to be more prepared, just incase something bad happens like last time there was a Hogsmeade Trip. Actually, he wasn't even planning to go, but for his role, he must. Even though, this is where Tristan sleeps during the Christmas holidays. At the hotel. It was a nifty hotel room, made the perfect time for Christmas. But, usually, he would just stay at the hotel for a week, then by the time, he'll return to Hogwarts for the rest of the time, until everyone was back and ready for learning.
Making his way to the carriages, he couldn't find Anna. But knowing her, she was probably already there at the carriages. But as he got there, the place was crowded. A lot of students were going to attend this trip. Having his wand ready in his pocket. It was snowing, and that made the day even happier. He wore a Gryffindor sweater, with black pants, and a brown beanie. but still had that wand in his pocket. It wasn't visible at all, so people wouldn't know he had one. But, probably everyone else had their wands as well. So it wouldn't matter.
Sitting in a carriage full of third-sixth years. It wasn't bad. But, they arrived. Once he was dropped off, he went to search for Anna.

Shari was excited to be going to Hogsmeade again! It was among her favourite of villages in the United Kingdom... in the West for that matter... but it brought back fond and sad memories of dear Shane Brimswold, whose death had still been unsolved. Nonetheless, the Raven climbed into the carriage and sat, hoping that the light snow wouldn't increase to anything... unbearable. Snow was foreign to her still. India never had a lot... if any.
There was an older Gryffindor, Shari thought she knew him, sitting in the carriage she'd climbed into. He seemed distracted. Maybe most boys his age were. Besides, as always, Shari had another Gryffindor in mind - one she was leaving behind at the castle. Oh well. Shari thought perhaps she would bring something sweet back for Chris. He'd been awfully sour of late, and she wanted to extend an offer of friendship, especially after their trip to the forest.
So the trip to the village went on smoothly, almost seemlessly passing by while such thoughts tumbled around in the Indian's head, and before she knew it - Hogsmeade was staring right at her.

Another great, glorious, much needed trip to Hogsmeade, and it got to be really easy to let the autumn atmosphere get the best of Charlie and let impulses take over her. She was more hyper than a firstie trying the samplers at Honeyduke's, and she wasn't about to let the feeling go away.
Quickly she had waited around to herd the student masses in the carriages they needed and organized and reminded the forgetful ones to hand in their permission slips. It was easy to tell how anxious she was to get out of her duties for a while as she rushed the underclassmen into where they needed to go. When it was all said and done, though, she made sure to hunt down Layla when she would find her.
Charlie stood at the edge of Hogwarts property, right before the grounds became dense with the woods ahead of the Hogwarts gates. She was excited to hang out with her best friend, the one she hadn't seen around in a while because of other things, but it was high time they did some things together, and Charlie had at least one thing in mind...

As Anna woke up that morning and saw the snow falling gracefully to the ground, she ran to her trunk and dressed in a warm scarlet sweater, jeans and a gryffindor scarf tied around her neck ready for the cold. After everything that's been going on this trip is definatly what Anna needed to take her mind off things. Making sure her wand had been tucked safely, the lioness stepped out hopeful that she would run into Tristan by the carriages. With no boyfriend in sight, the girl proceeded inside with a bunch of second years who just stared at her the whole time. It was kind of disturbing but at least the ride with them didn't last for a very long time.
It had been such a long time since students were allowed to come back to the village. Well, with everything that has been happening it was no surprise but the people must have felt the absence of the children since they were a big part of their income when it came to shopping and such. Standing in the huge crowd, Anna's dark eyes scaned through trying to see Tristan. "Tristan!" she called out thinking that the boy in a gryffindor sweater might be him. It was a little hard to tell.

The castle had kicked into high gear when everyone found out that there was to be a Hogsmeade Trip. Layla had gotten buzzed on the excitement alone. She had woken up early and made sure that she'd gotten her stuff together, and then had attempted to cheer up a few Birdbrains that were too young to come along, promising that their turn would come.
Quickly rushing the tower steps, followed by another seven flights, Layla quickly made her way to the edge of the grounds where she and Charlie had arranged to meet. The odd pair had barely been able hang out since the term started and they had made an effort to make something out of the Hogsmeade trip. The back of Layla's mind slurred with a bit of worry. So many strangers and everyone being separated. The protective, Prefect part of her was alert, but she kept her mind on trying to enjoy herself as well.

Within the throng of students, Charlie could spot Layla as she got closer. She began to smirk at the Ravenclaw and waved at her. "Yo-- right over here!" She looked around to see anyone else recognizable, especially looking out for Hiro. There wasn't much of an agenda to be at Hogsmeade other than being there for the sake of it. However, there was an errand that she had to attend to, and she wasn't worried about being covert about it. She knew that Drew had to be whisked away by his girlfriend, so that was enough for her to get him a little gift, but she had no idea what would work for him. Hopefully when they got there, Layla could help her out in picking a gift.

Layla had just caught sight of Charlie when she called out to her. Seeing her friend, Layla picked up the pace again and jogged to her. "Hey!" She looked up and saw the light snow make its way to them and smiled. "Finally, eh?" She started walking towards the village and away from the castle. She hadn't really thought of what they would do, as long as they got to hung out, but she knew they'd figure it out. "Where to first?"
