Hiro was on break from Hogwarts, after O.W.L.s most students looked forward to the break. Hiro wasn't one of them, it was going to be a long and hard summer of work. Drew had been on the brink of a meltdown after what happened towards the end of the year. He was now in a relationship with Charlie which he really had no clue what he was doing. And to top it all off he was working in Honeydukes during the summer. He and the owner, Finn, had known each other for a long while now and when Hiro wanted to become an apprentice he was glad. Hiro finally got to a hold of some of the candy-maker's recipes. But if he shared them he would get fired. So he stayed and helped clean the shop, bake in the morning and close the shop along side the elder man. It was the ideal job for the blind prefect and he could see himself back here again during the next break...that is if all went well.
At the moment Hiro was in the main shop area, checking inventory by scent. His face wasn't in the sweets or anything but without sight his other sences increased. He knew well enough if something was low or had enough when he was in the area of the sweet.

It was one of the few times she had been to Hogsmeade, but her mum had a few errands to run and allowed Felicity to go about a few of the shoppes she remembered from her years of Hogwarts. Again, not without fail, Meadow Rose relayed the word of caution to her youngest daughter about whom she spoke to and where she could go. While there were interesting shoppes about, she'd decided to stick to the places her mum had told her about, especially the sweets shoppe as she had a few spare coins in her pocket that day.
When Felicity opened the door, she couldn't help but inhale the scent of sugar and chocolate, it was overpowering, and very pleasant. Taking her time at each display of coated goodness, she wasn't aware of the people around, but was simply engrossed with the different candies available, some things she'd never even heard of, nor dreamed. Turning down an aisle, she noticed a boy but wasn't interested as she continued to stare in amazement at the items offered.
As Felicity turned to look at the other side of the aisle, she promptly fell on her keister in the middle of the floor, for she'd stepped on her tattered shoelace and wasn't able to catch her balance. The only thing she was thankful for was she hadn't knocked over any of the displays. Felicity sighed a bit discouraged as she looked to her shoe. The darn lace had torn in two, nothing that wasn't expected, but that would mean having to find something at home to replace it.
"Well, I'm sure I'll find something," she said to herself aloud, ignoring someone stepping over her to get to the other end of the aisle.

Hiro had been greeting people as they came in to the store. Most of them were going about their business without doing so much as saying hello back. However when there was a thud Hiro had to come investigate.
"Is everything all right?" Hiro asked when he arrived to the commotion.

"What?" Felicity started, not entirely sure someone was talking to her, as she was still sitting on the floor looking down at her shoelace. When she looked up and saw the boy she'd noticed earlier nearer her, she realized it was him who'd said something. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine."
Although she didn't pick herself up off the ground, she took a better look at the boy, and her eyes were immediately drawn to the blindfold, though she didn't ask for fear of being rude. Though she wondered why it was him of all the people there that asked about her well-being.
"Sorry if I disturbed you. I just tripped over myself," she said with a hint of laughter.

From where her voice was coming and the thud from before Hiro deduced that the customer was still on the floor. He made sure to be careful that his cane didn't hit her, didn't want to get into trouble with the employer this early on in the job.
"Happens to the best of us ma'am." Hiro said with a smile and offered his free hand to help her up. "Here let me help."

Gratefully, Felicity accepted the boy's hand and pulled herself from the position she'd found herself in, nearly stumbling over herself once more. There was a grin on her face when she was finally standing without danger of being down once more. "Thanks, but please don't call me ma'am. It makes me feel old, and last I knew fifteen wasn't that far up there, sir."
Again, she looked over the boy, pushing her hair away from her face while berating herself for not having tied it back that morning before she'd left. Felicity decided he wasn't more than five years older than herself, but she wasn't too sure.

"It's part of the job." Hiro said with a small laugh, he disliked being called sir. His father was a sir he was just Hiro. "Though you don't have to be so formal, Hiro McVeil" He bowed. "at your service. So do you live here in town?"

"Pleased to make your acquaintance Hiro," Felicity replied, as she tried her best not to giggle at at him bowing to her, though she knew it was an alternative mode to shaking hands. She opened her mouth to introduce herself and make a comment about him being at her service when he'd already served her, but found it to be a most inopportune time as he asked her a question. "No, I'm from the heart of London; just here with my mum while she does a bit of business."
Felicity's brown eyes continued to observe where she knew his would be if they weren't hidden, still curious. "I'm Felicity Hjort by the way, and your service has already been noted and recorded for future use." Though she doubted she'd ever really call upon the boy in the future, as she doubted she'd ever meet up with him again not believing him to be a Hogwarts student. "And are you here from here?"

Hiro had just been trying to make small talk as he helped the customer back to her feet. He had expected her to just thank him and be on her way, most customers avoid conversation with employees. He was kind of surprised when she continued the conversation with a question.
"London huh, came a long way for some sweets didn't you?" Hiro joked before answering her question. "On a techniqality no I'm 'live' in Limmerick with my father though I'm in the area most of the year. I actually only work here during the breaks so I can afford a room until Hogwarts opens back up again."

"I've heard tell these aren't just 'some sweets,' but instead the best," Felicity replied with a grin. While Hiro explained his situation of where he lived she listened intently, and her eyes lit up when he mentioned Hogwarts. Wow, what a small world it really is, she thought to herself. This would be the second person she'd come in contact with who attended Hogwarts, just from that summer before entering the famous school herself. Ignoring her excitement from meeting another student, she focused on what was at hand.
"And do you work here because the sweets industry is your calling? Or is it because you can get closer to the recipes?" she asked jokingly.

"Well we don't like to brag or anything but...it's true." Hiro said with a smile. "Sharing the recipes would cause me to be fired, though I have picked up a trick or two. No I work here cause I enjoy it, I've known the owner for some time and I'm not a bad chef myself. So can I help you find anything?"

"Hmmm, and I'm to trust your word that you're a good chef, am I?" she inquired playfully, though she did trust it. Why else would the owner have Hiro working for him, even if they'd known each other for a long time?
"Well I'm not really looking for anything in particular," Felicity replied thoughtfully. She'd merely been bedazzled by the amount of candy under one rooftop, and had the idea to not pass by anything without seeing it. "I guess you could say I'm doing a more of a window shopping at the moment. Of course that'll only last until I find something that's a must have," she grinned.
The shelf she could see in front of her held many types of chocolate: Chocolate Frogs, Fudge Flies, and Cockroach Clusters among them. Felicity spun around to view the shelf behind her, finding a variety of goodies including: Ice Mice, Peppermint Toads, and Toothflossing Stringmints. Though she could see a bit further over something she'd be able to share with younger cousins, without causing mayhem. "And, I think the Licorice Wands would be a good choice."

"I'm the Best in town." Hiro replied proudly to Felicity.
"I heard that!" Mr. MacCool called jokingly from the back room.
"Right sorry." Hiro called back. "I'm the second best in town. If you're looking for something with a kick try some exploding bon-bons. They're nice and sweet and will randomly explode. These ones are extra sweet cause I added some extra sugar."
The last part he whispered loud enough for her and a little kid to hear whom then wanted his mum to get him some.

Felicity exploded in a small fit of giggles at Hiro's proclaimation and at his re-statement. He seemed to be quite a character, and she was already looking forward to possibly meeting up with him again at Hogwarts.
"Exploding bon-bons?" she asked in a state of disbelief. She hadn't heard of them before, but in all reality nothing should really have surprised her at this point; and she looked over the slyness in the way he'd said there was extra sugar, at least he knew how to make sales. "I suppose I should buy a bit, just to try them and to decide if you really are the second best chef in town." Of course, she was joking with boy, but she did mean she'd buy some.

"I'll take on anyone you can find that thinks otherwise." Hiro said confidently. "I started cooking while most kids were still learning their alphabet!"
This last statement might have been a boast but it sure did get his point across. In honesty Hiro was better at meals than sweets but this was the only place in town that would trust a student in the kitchens. And that was because they had known each other for a long time.
