Snuck. Thats right, snuck. Seeing as first years were not allowed out of the castle to Hogsmeade (some twisted logic there since they were let off the train there...) Lianna had successfully, cautiously, but successfully none the less, manage to sneak her way to Hogsmeade.
The first place on her stop agenda, the Three Broomsticks 'pub' or whatever it was. Supposedly they had good butterbeer and she was hell-bent on finding out. Sure, she was risking detention for weeks, but what did she have to lose, she was technically confined to school grounds already. And after all, her curiosity is what drives her, drives everyone. Without it where would they be?
Regardless however upon entering the pub she went to the counter and ordered a butterbeer. The man behind it giving her a small look of both knowing and disapproval but that never the less served his patron. Where upon receiving her order she paid for it and took a seat at a table by the window and gingerly, tentatively took a sip as a voice from behind her spoke.
"You shouldn't be here..."
Turning around she met eyes with the speaker and blinked.
(I see no reason why this can't happen, and hence forth believe at Hogwarts it would at least have been attempted.)

"Yeah, mate," Beni called out from the booth behind the girl, She had watched her come in after taking a sip of her own butterbeer with a 'kick'. "You."
The Gryffindor was proud of herself for calling on the illegal activity as she had actually read the handbook on a boring day after having to ask for one as all the Hogwarts info she received by owl was back at home. But knowing her parents, they would send it right back to her, and she would have the greatest joy of having two handbooks.

She shouldn't be here, fair enough, she'd been noticed. But her original mission had been accomplished. She had gotten to Hogsmeade without getting busted. The next question involved whether this older girl would turn her in or not.
However, she still decided to play it off, it was the whole reason she wasn't wearing her school robes, though, the Hufflepuff theme of yellow sweater and black pants gave it away quite quickly, along with the Hufflepuff crest on the sweater, currently hidden from view.
"An' your sure about that?" She questioned politely in return to the older girl, name currently unknown. turning fully around she took a full gulp of the butterbeer and winced lightly. Definitely not the thing to try and gulp down.

"Yeah," Beni said a little too defiantly to the little lass. She looked at her with razor sharp eyes, but it was in good fun. "What're you? Nine? I don't think nine-year olds should be chugging down butterbeers like there's no tomorrow."
Noticing the girl's choice of attire, she pondered on the range of years the school had. Nine years old? Yeah, she was sure the girl was that old. She looked it at least.

So the girl wasn't even sure she was a student. Nine, honestly, even she know the lowest was eleven at Hogwarts, but, better to follow the lie, or better yet, one up the lie.
"Ten." She claimed in return as she went back to merely sipping the drink, subconsciously chancing a glance at the barkeep, who, not surprisingly was doing the same thing, apparently trying to confirm his hunch.
"An' I wasn't chuggin' it, I just drank it too fast." She claimed a tad to late to be helped, but whatever, it would work right? It had to, she couldn't afford tog et caught.

"She-yore," Beni enunciated as she watched the girl liberally drinking it. In fact, she remembered having her first butterbeer at nine. Ten. Whatever.
"But why do you keep lookin' at the keep? Don't you have a mum or something? Are you a closested pre-teen alcoholic?" She asked with a hint of amused suspicion. She remembered back in her day when she would try to drink hers quickly before her mums would come to her school to pick her up.

How did she reply to that, if she said yes, it would surely come back to get her, but if she said no, it would arise too many questions, the times being what they were. Still, she decided to simply evade it.
And what in the name of Merlin did the girl mean by 'closeted'? As if it trying to keep a low profile wasn't hard enough she had to decipher big, stupid, hidden meanings. What a stupid and unforgiving world it was.
"You go to the school?" She questioned, curiosity clearly evident in her tone. If this girl went to Hogwarts there was a high chance they would see each other again, and there could only arise problems if that happened. She had to know, now. She wasn't a Ravenclaw, but she knew what to do when trying to keep a secret, or, most of it.

"Indeed I do," Beni replied cheerfully despite her momentary interrogation. She had to admire the girl, she was cautious with her words. "And you? They let elementary kiddos in Hogwarts, too. Right?" Looking at the bartender watch the conversation, she nodded her head sharply at him. "Bugger off!" She told him and moved her personal party to the little girl's table.

"*Y-aye dunno, don't got my letter yet..." She claimed quietly now that the girl had yelled at the clearly eavesdropping bartender. How much did he know, this was her first time here, so, obviously not much, rather, how much did he assume?
She had almost replied yes, but caught herself remembering the white fib she'd told prior. Oh yes, things do come back to bite hard. It was only now though that she recalled neither had given a name yet. A bonus she supposed.
Regardless however she had to be diligent, or, at least cautious. Bar to her that the two words meant the same thing in some aspects, but her long word vocabulary wasn't exactly the fullest book in her head.
(*y-aye = pronounced 'I')

"Aww, whadda shame," Beni the uninvited guest said as she sat comfortably in front of the girl. She noticed something that completely changed what her response would be. "Because I woulda wanted to ask where you got those posh clothes. Pufflehuff, yeah?"
She set down her butterbeer and leaned in to whisper, "I ain't dumb, y'know. I've been around long enough to know that one of the houses wear what you're wearin'."

So, all this had been a game of cat and mouse, or she had thought it to be. When in reality she'd been caught from the beginning, thats a real blow to the pride. To throw the towel in now, or keep going, the girl could only be assuming. But Lianna wasn't that quick to judge, and instead blew her own cover before covering her tracks.
"Its Hufflepuff..." She stated defiantly, and after a delay of five seconds caught her mistake and frowned. Least I made it this far... She thought dryly as she took another sip of the drink that had laid forgotten on the table, the barkeep she saw had a look that read 'I-knew-it'.
Ruddy old git.

"Good! And here I thought the name sounded awful," Beni said, but still thinking who in the world would call a house that. "I'm a Gryffindor, by the way," She said, but one couldn't tell with her casual attire of black pants with chains around it and a concert tee. "The red one, I'm told."

A lion on the hunt of course. But hunting for what, sneak-aways like her, or whatever suited the girl's fancy?
"Whats good?" She questioned in return, clearly confused by the statement. Was it good she had given up, or, good she had finally gotten a solid piece of information?
The sad thing was Lianna could have easily covered her tracks with another fib about family being at the school or something, but, the two were bound to cross paths in-between classes. The only difference is she's be wearing school robes then. Questions woulds surely be arisen.

"The name," Beni rolled her eyes at the sudden confusion of the younger one. "The name of your house, mate. Merlin, someone has a hard time following a conversation," she added but not in malice, but in a tease of a tone.
"So what's your name? Katie? Mary? Jenny? You look like a Jenny to me," the Gryffindor said in a quick paced tone. It was for her amusement, mostly, but not everyone liked to respond to it nicely. It wasn't everyday that someone met you by chance and started calling you different names for the heck of it.

She felt her cheeks turn a slight shade of pink from embarrassment. What the older girl had been talking about was so obvious she should have picked up on it. Nope, apparently it was just a tad to obscure.
Ironically, her name fell on the one letter the girl had skipped over. Amusing in a way. "Its Lianna, Lianna Maylorn." She replied with a soft smile. Lianna didn't ask for a name back, she wasn't really that worried if she knew who the girl was or not, she was a) nice, and b) went to the school. What was there to worry about?
