[ Full Character Name: ]Haru Miho
[ Character Gender: ] Male
[ Country of Citizenship: ]U.K.
[ House: ] Slytherin
[ Birthday: ]December 7th
[ Physical Character Description: ] Haru is of course the average cheek-pinchable munchkin, well... at least in his parent's eyes. He likes to believe that he’s buff and big, sort of like Arnold Schwarzenegger, but I would have to be lying to you if I described him like that. Nope, he’s about 4”9 in height, which is of course really short for his age. His mother always assured him that he would grow as tall as his father one day, although lied about the fact that his father had been short at Haru’s age also. Many people actually mistook the poor kid for being a six or seven year old. His big eyes and adorable smile probably have some part in that, though. Haru acquired his large eyes from his mother and his endearing smile from his father. He had always thought that his family had the some of the best looks anyway- I mean, come on- they were the Mihos.
His usual attire includes fashionable grey shorts that reach just about three inches above his knee caps, a white tucked in collar shirt with box patterns and of course white and blue knee socks. I’ll just say that he isn’t too up to date with his clothes.
[ Personality Character Description: ] Some people describe him as loveable and caring to others, others describe him as annoying and irritating. Haru isn’t really any of these things (well he is loveable). He is mostly a selfish person and will do anything that will benefit himself. Being selfish doesn’t make Haru a mean, unpleasant person- it just makes him … Haru. He can be the sweetest soul there is but many people realize he is untrustworthy and he can be a bit of a backstabber, making him a horrible friend. But Haru can’t help it! He was born this way. It’s true, when he was a two year old, his father gave him a cookie and he ate the whole thing- without teeth. When he was a five year old- he would never share any of his wizarding toys with the other children and instead manipulated them to give him all of their toys. As an eight year old, Haru was just as sly as ever and tricked his Grandmother into giving him thirteen galleons! Selfish, greedy, manipulative, and cute- it was a bad mix.
He is a cheerful boy most of the time- as if that smile was pasted on his face. He can be very charming when he wants to be and the complete opposite at other times, but it does take a little bit for Haru to flame up. He doesn’t usually have tempers unless he is insulted or verbally attacked. Surprisingly, he doesn’t mind cheek pinching either! ... Actually, he secretly enjoys it…
The thing that Haru dreads more that anything is studying. 0.0 Just like any normal kid he hates studying! His parents used to always have to literally drag him inside the house to make him even touch a text book. The Miho family had always been very strict on magical education and almost all of them had been placed in Ravenclaw. Haru was a great disappointment to the family and was looked down upon because he was so reluctant to just sit down and open a book up. No matter what anyone says, Haru will never change his mind about this. Of course he does study- about five minutes every … month day? His style for tests and exams is to cram the night before the big day. Eh- it always worked for him.
Haru had always had a special liking for the ladies. Always scanning the halls for a pretty face to stare at, Haru doesn’t care if she’s old or young, as long as she’s pretty. Although he will never stay committed… ever, but then again most girls don’t usually give him the chance to even commit. He isn’t too popular with ladies but he likes to think that he is.
[ History: ] A long line of purebloods is where Haru originates. He was born to his mother, Nakai Miho and to his father, Danta Miho. Of course he is proud of this but he doesn’t constantly bring the fact up, to the point of annoyance. Not only are the Mihos purebloods, but like most pureblood families, they were wealthy and successful. Being a Miho, the pressure to do the same is pretty heavy. This may have been one of the reasons that Haru ended up so greedy and selfish- the constant need to follow up to the expectations of others to succeed.
He already came off as a shame to the family at the young age of five. His dislike to study appeared to be a sign that he would surely fail in life and ruin the Miho name. Of course the entire family was taking the whole situation to another level but these were just their predictions. Nakai and Danta were extremely upset for the span of three months. Finally they decided that they would try extra hard to prove that the others were wrong- that Haru would carry on the Miho name with pride, that he would be worth bragging about. He was their one and only child, they wouldn’t let him fall.
Danta and Nakai dedicated their lives to Haru, basically. He was their only son and they loved him more than words could explain. Seeing a smile upon the boy’s face brought one to theirs. He was a blessing to them. Nakai would stay up past midnight just to make Haru’s lunch nice and pretty with his favorite foods packed inside- lobster and prawns. Danta would spend hours just trying to work with Haru to find a way for him to enjoy his study… although he had yet to find one xP. They both loved him so much- always thinking of their son as the best. His mother would always squish him in her hugs and kisses as his father would always tell him how he has that famous Miho nose.
Haru loved his parents as well and really appreciated them although he wasn’t too fond of the rest of the family. He always got the feeling that his uncles, aunts, and cousins looked down on him. They were sort of cold to Haru although he was always such a joyful boy and pretended not to notice. Some of the things they said could really hit hard on him…
As you could have already guessed, their family had originated from Japan although many of them had immigrated to the U.K.- Danta and Nakai included. They were born in Hiroshima, Japan as most of the Miho family but moved to England in their late twenties.
Danta, Nakai, and Haru originally lived on the outskirts of York, Britain although when he was seven they moved to the city of Halifax. There, they found a nice manor on the top of a little hill. The family found the area quite pleasant and nice- making it their new home.
Haru received his letter to Hogwarts when he was eleven. His parents were more happy then he was… Haru was excited but Nakai and Danta were absolutely ecstatic xP. Of course, they had no doubt that their son was magical although could help but feel happy and proud.
[ Special talents/knacks : ] Haru’s specialties? Heh- he has many although I must say that his best trait is his ability to trick and manipulate. It’s a skill that very few have but somehow he manages quite well. Haru describes it as an art that you have to master slowly. Like he says occasionally, ever since he was a baby, he’s been working hard on perfecting that trait. But Haru was born like that- it was pasted down from his mother’s side- the Sanos.
