It was something Lucas had been contemplating for a long time. The last time he’d written to Rachel, his best friend, he had told her about his idea. She had freaked out about the idea at first, but then it had grown on her. Lucas knew there was no way he’d be able to do it at home, so Rachel had helped him get what he needed so he could do it at school. So there he stood, facing the mirror with the razor in his hand. Lucas sighed deeply, locking onto his own eyes. “You are insane,” Lucas mumbled to himself as he turned the razor on and slowly raised it to his head.
It only took about 7 minutes for him to shave his entire head. There was no way it would all grow back in time for him to go home and look like he did now. The Raven would have to deal with his mother when the time came, but right now he was actually rather impressed with it. Looking into the sink, Lucas picked up the towel he’d placed in their to catch his blond hair and shook it out into the trash bin. The bathroom was eerily quiet now that the constant, loud buzz of the razor had stopped. The seventh year cleaned up around him, all the while watching himself in the mirror. Already, his head was cold and he ran his hand over the buzzed top. When his eyes focused on the mirror again, Lucas noticed he wasn’t alone. There was another reflection looking back at him.

Ellie walked out of the girl's restroom towards the conjoined area with several rows of sinks and mirrors, giving a small yawn as she walked, reminding herself of just how tired she really was. She hesitated, though, as she spotted someone standing in front of one of the sinks. Ellie quirked her head to the side slightly, wondering what the boy was doing. Well, she knew what he was donig, but she supposed why would be a better question to ask. She paused as she looked into the mirror and noticed the older boy looking back at her. Instantly, her cheeks flushed a light pink color and she turned away slightly, slowly recognizing the fact that she was standing in a pair of pink and purple pajama pants with hearts all over them and a white camisole. She looked down to her feet slightly, wondering if she should leave or if it was too late for that.
She had intended to prepare for bed, wash her face, brush her teeth, and then be off, but she was still curious about this older boy. Why was he cutting his hair? Even as Ell thought the question she answered it to herself, knowing that people cut their hair because it was getting too long. Her momentary lacking of common sense amused her slightly, and a small smile grew onto the girl's face. She looked back up to the mirror, meeting the boy's eyes for a second or so. " Hi... " She paused in her speech as she took a few steps towards one of the sinks. " You're Lucas, right? I think I've seen you around here. "
If he was who she thought he was, then the boy was a seventh year, obviously in Ravenclaw. She didn't know much about him only that he was an older student.
