Ash found herself drooping in from the girl's common room not in any rush at all. Why should she care if there was a petty fire? It was just a fire after all and she didn't even understand why anyone would panic about something so simple. One whoosh of the wand and it was out- right? She hadn't been in the bests of moods lately, stressed about quite a few things and unwilling to have much social contact. The Ravenclaw yawned as she paced past Kellen and sank into a chair, hardly taking any notice of Allegra's panic.
With a bored expression she examined her fingernails in a silence.

Kyle's knowledge about the mark was very limited. He knew it's something bad, and it had something to do with dark wizards. But that's about it. So he really didn't quite understand why Allegra would go into such panic about Drew when she heard about it. Honestly, she wouldn't believe Drew had something to do with that right? Drew was not a dark wizard.
"Why don't you guys go check it out?" he stepped away from the window and asked. "You are the Head Boy and Head Girl after all."

"Because we need to watch over you guys," Allegra answered with a sigh and she wiped at her eyes. Of course Kellen was right. Her brother would probably wander in with Hiro or Ari soon. Why she worried over him like this, she didn't know. he was bigger and probably... no, definitely more apt at handeling himself during things like this.
Still, she'd feel a lot better if he'd show up.
"Raynor is down there, almost certainly," Allegra continued, still answering Kyle's query. "Especially with our... prefects missing, this is where we belong." If Professor Raynor needed either of them, Allegra knew the woman would send word.
She wiped her face again and went back to her seat. "We should probably stay clear of the windows," she suggested. Who knew if the caster of the Dark Mark was still out there.

Finn had been minding his own business, wandering the halls again when he heard a voice telling him to go back to his Common Room. He simply ignored it for a while until he reached a window and saw the black smoke billowing out from somewhere in the grounds and the green glow of something he'd only ever read about, but would know it in a heartbeat. The Dark Mark. A wave of fear crashed over Finn and he sprinted up the stairs to the Ravenclaw Common Room.
Coming in the door panting, Finn looked around to see some of his house assembled already. The first person his eye landed on was Allegra. He went over to her immediately. "What happened?" he panted.

Every body that mde it through the dorr that wasn't her brother only raised her anxiety level. The only thing that actully kept her from totally flipping out was the fact that neither Hiro nor Ari had made it back yet either. While she could easily imagine awful things happening to all three of them, she culd also kid herself into thinking they were just goofing off somewhere. She considered sending owls to Gryffindor and Slytherin to see if Alhana, Charlie, and Nic had made it back to their respective common rooms, but she decided to hold off on that.
"Fire... Dark mark... Stay away from the windows," she told Finn in response to his question and she rubbed her eyes again, knowing she needed to be in control.

Where there was smoke there was fire, and where there was fire there was a sinking feeling inside Hiro's stomach that told him he was going to throw up soon. That's not to say that every candle in the castle made him feel ill (lot of good they did him anyway) but anything as big as a camp fire tended to turn his insides. He had been making it up the tower at about half his normal pace trying his hardest not to lose his lunch. His expression, if possible, got worse as he entered the commonroom, the smell was here as well. To Allegra's dismay he entered and went to the comfy chair alone.

Pat had been in the library when he heard the headmistress' call to everyone. This being his first actual year at Hogwarts, he was mildly concerned but not panicky. He made his way up to the common room and gave the password. When he entered, he could sense tension and fear in the air. He had seen the smoke through windows on the way up, but didn't think that it would cause so much panic.
Pat walked up to Kellen and asked "What's up? Why's everyone so...?" He looked around the room to find a word to describe everyone's mood. "Scared?" He finally said.

Finn just sort of looked at Allegra. He'd never seen her like this before and something told him that it definitely wasn't normal Allegra behaviour. It worried Finn, as he knew she was usually in control. She just seemed so...out of it. "Allegra, are you OK?' he asked her, the concern in his voice now rising to the surface and the panic started to set in even more than it had before. This definitely wasn't good.

More people came into the room, and the question of "what happened" was asked again and again. The Head Girl was definitely worried, so Kyle didn't want to bombard her with questions. The Head Boy was still very Head Boy like. But he didn't know Kellen enough to tell anything from his body language. The Perfect, he hadn't really talked to him before, and he looked like he's about to be sick.
So what could a Littledude do in situaion like this? Nothing really. His dad always made tea for his mom when she's stressed out. But he wasn't sure if that would work here. His brothers would joke to lighten everyone's mood, but his mind came up blank. So what could Kyle do?

Kellen was distracted for a moment by Hiro's entrance. First, Hiro didn't look so good. Second, Drew wasn't with him, which was sure to make Allegra worry more. He made a mental note to check on the boy when he got a chance.
"Patrick...okay, hang on a minute," Kellen said to the boy, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Everybody who's just come in, listen up for a minute?" He waited to gather the attention of those around.
"Okay, here's what's going on. There's a fire in the greenhouses--and a pretty big one, by the looks of it. The professors will have it under control soon, I'm sure. There is also--and this is more serious--a Dark Mark hanging over them. Now, we don't know what's happened yet, and I don't want everyone to get all worried before we know anything. When we need to know, they'll tell us. Until then we're just going to stay put here, okay? You can all...play chess or trade chocolate frog cards or something until then, all right?"

Allegra just nodded, dropping her head in her hands as Hiro came in alone. It was official. Most of the house was back and no sign of her brother. Had he been with Hiro, he would have surely seen his best friend in before running off to check on something else. Ari still hadn't checked in. He had to be with Ari.
"Stay away from the windows," she added to Kellen, feeling the center of the room was probably the safest, even if they were up in the towers. The dark mark. That was bad. She would not relax until she knew for sure who it was cast for.

Finn wasn't really assured that Allegra was OK. He took a quick look around the room, seeing everyone that was there. That's when he understood. Drew wasn't there yet, so that must be what Allegra was so worried about. Sighing slightly, Finn placed a comforting hand on Allegra's shoulder and spoke to her quietly. "It's gonna be OK, you know," he said in a soft voice, "I'm sure everything is fine."
Finn tried to sound assuring and confident, but he really had no clue. He just wanted Allegra to be optimistic, even if he couldn't do it himself. He couldn't bare to see any of his friends worried like this, and he did consider her a friend to him. Finn just wanted her to be OK.

Allegra nodded and sniffed as she swiped a hand across her face, trying her best not to get too upset. She was Head Girl darn it. She needed to keep her head.
But it was the fire. She hated fire and that by itself was enough to start a panic. And with her brother missing and now the Dark Mark thrown, literally on top of it all, it was no wonder she was having problems staying calm.
"Stay away from the windows..." she said again in a weak voice.

"We are away from the windows," Kyle answered without looking at the window. He had no idea if people were still looking out, but that answer came out before his mind actually processed it. He felt uncomfortable seeing Allegra like that. And if answering her would make her happier, he would do it.
"Perhaps we can all study a little bit?" He couldn't believe he actually suggested people go studying. But he's in the Ravenclaw common room. People here gotta LOVE studying. "You know, I really need help on potions."

Lily had been in the common room when the pandemonium broke out. Her first day back and this happens. Germany had been good for her, to get away from the castle and all, but she found herself missing this place and the friends she had made. So, after a while, she decided she was coming back and she had arrived today around noon without so much as telling any of her friends back at the castle. Which is why she had mostly been sitting in a chair in the back corner of the common room for a good part of the day. One thing she knew for certain though, was that this trouble wasn't connected to her for once. She felt so out of touch with this place sometimes, but what could she do really?
Rising now from her chair, she was going to see if Allegra needed any help. She looked like she was falling to pieces. She had seen Drew earlier in the day, but not lately; the time zone difference was throwing her off. Not to mention, he should have been here by now. But she wasn't going to tell Allegra her fears. She walked up to Allegra. "Allegra?" She asked. "I know it's weird me being back and all; I arrived earlier today. I was just wondering if you needed any help. That and I thought it might be a good idea if we covered the windows or something. We don't need to be looking at that; it won't help. We can use bedsheets or something." She spoke in a hushed tone, but loud enough that Allegra would hear her, but not anyone else, unless they were standing right there. She hoped it wouldn't throw Allegra off seeing her there; she thought Allegra might know but she wasn't entirely sure.
