"He's RAYNOR'S cousin," Drew answered, not even sure if Christina understood the ramifications of this. They could get in trouble for messing with him, letting him get into trouble, all sorts of things.
And then there was the added possibility that he could rat them all out. They'd have to watch every move around this kid, not only keeping him in one piece, but keeeping themselves out of trouble.
Fun... GONE.

Christina nodded lightly. "I'm clearly aware of that. However....." she began, then let out a sigh. "Fine, never mind about it then. No sense in arguing about it. Now, would you please move so I could atleast go back up there?" she asked him.

Drew gladly stepped aside for Christina, making sure to step into Jase's way, still blocking him from reaching the stairs. With a grand sweep of his arm, he let her pass.

"Thank you," Christina said as she stepped past Drew. She started up the stairs and then turned back around. "So you know, Drew over here could be very protective at times," she said with a nod.

"Yeah, I know that," Arianna mumured, peering curiously at Christina from beneath her blue, dragon-embroidered blanket, which she had wrapped tightly about her, covering all but her little Opaleye Dragon slippers. It wasn't until she had made her way past Drew, and straight to the emptied comfy chair, that she noticed someone unfamiliar.
"Hey! New kid!" she exclaimed, giving the kid a smile. The blanket jiggled as lifted a hand to wave before sitting down. "Those two havent' been giving you a hard time, have they?"

"I've noticed," Jase replied in a huff to Christina as she headed back up the staircase he was no so keen on trying out for himself.
When Drew continued to block his path, he gave up with a deflated puff of air, crossing his arms and pouting in a fashion that only an eleven year old could master, something that his apparel only intensified; he looked like Underdog meets Zorro while surfing.
This all tied into his cousin, but it wasn't fair! He didn't even really know her!
"She's not really my cousin." He insisted to Drew. "Honest. It was only through a marriage some thirty something years ago. I wasn't even born. All I really know about her is from what pap told me." He nudged at the floor with a toe and a scowl claimed his chipmunk features.
However, his baby-featured head whipped back up as another girl entered. "You have no idea!" He complained, but a grin still tried to fit it's way through his features. Hey, attention was still attention.

Christina looked into the Girl's Dorm as she heard another voice come from it. She looked at Arianna, and nodded lightly. "Yeah," she said. She grinned lightly, and pointed her wand into the dorm room, and said, "Accio notepad." The note pad flew into her hand, and she closed the door. She went back down the stairs, and went past Drew again.
As Christina was walking to a chair, she nodded to Jase's reasponse. As she did, she looked over at Drew. "Drew, you do realize that if you're going to keep up your current attitude about this, you would have to be incredibly nicer to him than everyone else," She said with a nod, after hearing Jase's comment. She sat down in an armchair, placing the notebook in her lap.

"And what's that supposed to mean?" Drew asked, a little hurt by the accusation. As Jase tried again, Drew blocked the boy's path, going so far as to palm the tyke's forehead to keep him away. "I'm a nice guy! When have I ever not been nice to you?"

"All that it means, is just that you would have to watch what you do infront of him, because you seem so scared that he might tell Raynor what you did," she told him. "Also, I didn't say it as an offendment. If you've been offended by it, I'm sorry," she said to him, and opened up the sketch book.

Arianna watched Christina carefully. The girl sure seemed to know a lot about Drew. It had take herself quite a while to get to know that much about him. More than a few weeks anyway. And what was this about the new kid being Raynor's cousin? Well, she certainly wasn't going to give him any favours just for being the HoH's family.
"Drew's a nice kid," she assured Jace, her covered head bobbing up and down. "Christina's the one you have to look out for. I'm not so sure about her."

Christina continued to flip through the pad, and looked up at Arianna, and gave a small shrug. "I haven't been here that long as it is. I'm not about to expect everyone here to know who I am, and what I'm like," she said with a short nod. "Also, If you want to know what I'm like, all you have to do is hang out with me sometime," she said. She flipped one more page, and stopped. She looked down at the painting, and placed her arm on the arm rest, and rested her head against her hand. She continued to look down at the painting, and sighed. A small tear escaped from her eye, and she quickly wiped it off, hoping no one saw it.

The ole' palming the head trick. His brothers had done that to him enough times to know he was hopeless against it. He would just try the stairs out later then. Drew couldn't watch him forever after all! Though he still did not understand the why of this matter very much.
Having given up, he watched the conversation ensue between the three, head swerving from face to face. Well, as well as it could in such a predicament.
She took Arianna's word on Drew, he seemed... cool. But the one with the book had been confusing him since she arrived; Christina she called her.
"I'm sure you're both okay..." He said peevishly, uncertain about the sudden situation, and then asked as a whole, "Is Hogwarts always like this? With so many people all the time?"
The only real surroundings he had known were his manor. He rarely got to be around so many people as once. Even though Christina and Drew looked like they were about to fight or something was still interesting.

"Christina, she was kidding," Drew told the newest girl, seeing she got upset by Ari's words and he shot a look at Ari as if to say she should know better than to mess with the new kids right away like that.
Of course, firsties were different but when Jase stopped struggling against his hand, Drew dropped his hold on the boy. "So many people? Naw... just around here. The Gryffs and the Slytherins will try and tell you otherwise, but we are the best house. They know it, but they're in denial. Huffles would be in denial too, but it's pretty hopeless for them and they know it."

As Christina still looked down at the painting, she closed her eyes lightly and drew a small and quite breath. She looked up at Jase, and nodded lightly. "Yeah, I'm sure I'm ok," she told him with a short nod. She never liked talking about her family problems, and the painting of her father from her dreams clearly spurred up some emotions in her. She didn't answer Jase's last question, and decided to let the others answer it. After all, she really had no idea how many people would be there.
Christina looked over at Drew, and nodded lightly. "Yeah, I know," she said to Drew. Drew clearly thought that what Arianna said made her sad. It truely wasn't that. It was the painting that she was looking at. She looked back down to her painting, and immediently flipped the page. She didn't like to appear so weak infront of public. Atleast she didn't break down into tears. That was atleast a plus.

"I know that!" He pipped up enthusiastically, nearly jumping up and down on the balls of his feet and tripping on the sheet tied around his neck in the process. "Before it closed, all my family came from Ravenclaw. It has to be the best!"
His face suddenly lit with excitement, apparently oblivious to the fact that anything further might be ailing Christina. The excited little chap all but did burst with glee.
"Rand says that Hogwarts has secret passageways, is that true!? I've never been in a castle before..."
