Alexander was shocked and a bit annoyed with Seanna’s offer for the younger Huffle to join in the conversation. Getting up from his kneeling position, he turned his back on the two girls so that they wouldn’t see his scowling face. Oh yes, he was angered just slightly but he wasn’t about to tell Seanna that right there in front of a younger student. It wasn’t professional, and it wasn’t even the time to be discussing such things.
As Seanna continued to Lianna about wanting to join them or not, it only made Alexander more upset. To him, it seemed Seanna was pressing the girl into discussing their issues in front of her right out in the open. Alexander didn’t want to do that, and frankly, he didn’t want Lianna knowing about his skin condition anymore than he wanted anyone knowing about it.
Turning back toward Seanna, he had missed her wide eyes, and the hand cupping to her face. He had missed the fact that she could have been the least bit puzzled as to why she even asked the younger girl to join them, and most of all, he missed the fact that she didn’t mean to. “It’s not something I want discussed in front of everyone, Seanna. It’s embarrassing and I won’t do it,” of course he was talking about telling her why he had an issue with her going through his clothing. Not actually discussing the topic of trust.
He looked at Lianna and his features softened from the scowl to a smile. “You’re not interrupting anything that can’t be discussed at a later time, Miss Maylorn. Why don’t we all go to breakfast or something together?” Alexander offered, looked at Seanna with an insistent sort of gaze and then back to Lianna with his warm smile. “What do you girls think of that?”
