[Seanna / Open]
With a new school year, came allot of new change. A couple of new Professors. New curriculum. New lessons. New theories. New friends. New flings. New interests. New students. New house mates. New roles. All of these effected Matty Wentworth. She had been selected as Quidditch Captain, and with that, came new Responsibilities. It was only the second day back, but already Matty had to discover who from last year was still at school, and put up a time for the Try outs. It was going to be hard work, especially if all the new Hufflepuff Firsties wanted to try out. Although, she actually wanted and needed them to try out, for out of the older students, there wasn't enough for a full Quiddicth team. It was all allot to take on, as well as homework, and trying to meet up with her mates.
Matty was coping. So far.
Though, along with all these new changes, the Hufflepuff fifth year wanted a change in herself. Come her new role, and decided to refresh her look. So, thats where she was this evening. Matty was dying her hair. She was getting a bit over her 'golden blond' look, and was aiming for something darker. The Hufflepuff stood in front of the mirror, with a tube of Muggle Hair Dye in her hand. She took a breath in, looking down at the hair on the ground. She had cut her own hair from a younger age, and decided with a new colour, a new style would be required. Instead of long locks, she had wavy layers coming down a bit past her shoulders. The girl bent over the sink, and squeezed the hair dye into her layers, making sure to cover every hair. Once she had succeeded in doing this, the girl pulled it up into a bun. She stripped off the gloves that came with the kit, and placed them on the sink.
Matty had thought ahead, and sat back in the blow up, two seat lounge she had brought from home. Originally, it was for playing around in the lake, but Matty had decided she wasn't willing to sit out in the common room, or standing around in the bathroom, while she waited for the Muggle Dye to do it's work. The fifth year always found Muggle products easier to work with, in this case. The girl sat forward, and grabbed one of the many magazines she had brought along, while waiting. The teenager flipped open to a page, finding that she had selected a Quidditch mag. There was a mix of muggle and magical issues on the floor in a stack, so there was a bit of variety for the girl. Matty turned the page, and saw an article on Quidditch positions and strategies for teams. This would come in handy.

Sitting in front of the fire in the common room, was one of Seanna's favorite activities to do. The fire was warm, made her feel cozy and at home. Therefore, it was one of the foremost places where Seanna went to relax or think and it was the thinking activity that she had chosen for tonight.
Paying no mind to Percy, who was happily fluttering around her, the Hufflepuff's mind was still on that darn potion upstairs in her room. Seanna had no idea what she was going to make with it or in the end, if it would be deemed a potion. Though, she knew she wanted to make something different out if it and had spent the best part of the night, flipping through potion books.
The girl thought that maybe the potion could be turned into a protection potion of sorts, or even something that could turn into a perfume of sorts, something that had a hazy effect to it. Yes, Seanna was worrying again and until she got the darn potion sorted, she would continue to worry about it.
Getting up from the lounge chair in front of the fire, Seanna wandered over to the bathroom, thinking that all though it was a bit early to go to bed, a good, long sleep might make her think a bit more clearly in the morning. Opening the bathroom door, the seventh year was going to head to the sinks but that was until she saw the hair all over the floor.
Brown eyes trailing the hair, the girl finally found the edge of what looked like a lounge chair and sitting on top of that lounge chair was one of her favorite younger years, her hair all covered in something that resembled mud. "Hey Matty!" Seanna exclaimed, giving the girl a smile and thinking that she had heard somewhere that mud was supposed to be good for the body. "How've you been?" Seanna asked, deciding to walk over and take a seat on the lounge and that it wouldn't hurt her... or, she hoped it wouldn't hurt her.

Matty's green eyes scanned busily over the article, trying to relate and take in the information. So she was a little surprised when a very familiar voice rang through her ears. The fifth year looks up, and a smile immediately appeared on her young face. "Seanna! Hey!" she greeted the older student, lifting a hand and waving to her. "I've been good thanks. A bit hectic since term started back up, how about you?" she asked. It had been a while since the younger girl of the two had seen the older. She considered Seanna to be a genuine, great friend. She also knew that Seanna was close to Krissy, as Matty had also been. The girl guessed that they both shared a bit of disappointment when Krissy had graduated last year.
The teenager then realised she probably looked a bit odd with some goop brown stuff on her head. "I'm dying my hair, by the way." she grinned, looking up to her forehead. Matty folded the corner of her magazine, and placed it on the arm of the plastic blow up lounge. "The muggle way, as you can see." the Hufflepuff let out a small laugh, looking at the watch placed among her things, showing her that she needed a while more until the dye could come out.

"Oh" So that's what Matty was doing with all the mud or what Seanna knew now to be was hair dye on her hair. Seanna only knew how to change hair color the magical way, with a wave of a wand. Now that she thought of it, Seanna decided that it probably would be easier dyeing one's hair the muggle way, the girl figured there would be less accidents that way, then using a wand.
Seanna grinned at Matty after hearing that the younger girl was good. "Same as you and yeah, it has been kind of hectic since classes had started up. So much homework and things to do" Seanna agreed, making a face at Matty. Being a seventh year meant that she actually had to some sort of study so she could have an impressive resume when she graduated from the castle.
"What color are you going to dye your hair?" Seanna inquired, her eyes again going up to the dye on Matty's hair. The color looked somewhat brown, but the Huffle girl couldn't be too sure if the color was the one the other Huffle was changing her hair too. Eyes now spotting the magazine that Matty had put on the chair, Seanna saw that it was a quidditch magazine.
"Figuring out new tactics?" The older Huffle was glad that Matty got quidditch captain, she had the same enthusiasm for the game as Krissy had and Seanna knew that she would do a great job of being Quidditch captain for Huffle. "We need some new ones to take down the other teams this year" All of the other teams had strong players on them, Ravenclaw being one of their toughest opponents. Slytherin coming in a close second and Gryffindor had a few good players as well.

"Yeah," Matty said with a light laugh. It was probably a little odd looking for those who had never seen this being done the muggle way. 'Same as you and yeah, it has been kind of hectic since classes had started up. So much homework and things to do.' The fifth year nodded in assurance. "I can relate to that," she said while rolling her eyes. The younger Hufflepuff couldn't imagine herself as a Seventh year in three years. There so so much to accomplish by that time, and Matty knew she was one of many that wanted to leave her mark at the brilliant school. At Seanna's question, the teenager pondered for a moment, wondering what colour it would turn out, rather than the one described on the box. "Well, the box says dark brown, but it will probably turn a chocolate colour, because of my natural hair." the teenager stated.
Matty glanced back over at her magazine when the Seventh year mentioned about new tactis. 'We need some new ones to take down the other teams this year.' She smiled before looking back over to her friend. "Defiantly, even more so because I don't know if enough will sign up for the team with year." she said, her happy spirits faltering a bit. "But I'm trying to stay positive, I'm sure with hard training and new strategies we will pull through." Matty said confidently, nodded, as to reassure herself.

"Yeah, there really doesn't seem to be many Huffle's around" Seanna frowned at this and tried to count in her head how many possibilities of quidditch players there were in Huffle. There was Matty, obviously, herself, Alexander she thought, and Maddy. The Huffle couldn't really see Lianna joining the team, though stranger things have been known to happen and Seanna knew that there were a couple of new people in Huffle. The Huffle hoped that they would sign up for the quidditch game, it seemed like they were going to need all the help they could get.
"Hopefully, we'll get enough people to make a team this year. Maybe we could persuade them with cookies or something?" Seanna suggested, thinking the idea might not be such a bad one. "We still have plenty of time to get a team together though, quidditch doesn't start until October" Seanna told Matty, feeling a bit more happy that they had least a good amount of time to figure out some sort of a Huffle team.
"I wish I knew about hair dye last term, it would've came in rather handy" It really would've too. Giggling a bit, Seanna remembered the time that she accidentally changed her hair magically to blond. Even though she got used to it in the end, she still preferred her dark brown curls. "That's going to be a big change though, changing your hair from blond to brown" Seanna stated, probably stating the most obvious fact of all. "You'll almost look like a different person, especially with your hair cut as well" Okay, so maybe it was just Seanna and her having perfected those skills that told you that something was wrong with someone, for Seanna was thinking something was up with Matty for her to be completely changing her hair colour... then again, it could be that Seanna was just worrying again.

Matty grinned in reply to Seanna's comments about Quidditch. She had a point. There was still allot of time before the season was to start, and hopefully by then she could muster up a few other players. They'd pull though, the girl was sure of it. "Yeah, you're right about that. I think cookies would do just the trick," she added with a light chuckled. The girl wouldn't give up on the cup that easily, especially with a good year lined up ahead of them.
The teenager took in what her older mate said about the hair dye and changing colours. It was probably right, she would look different with the new style, colour and etc. Matty hadn't really thought it through much, and had just done it. She liked it that way, therefore there was no chickening out, or having long regrets after wards. Besides, hopefully it would be a nice change, opposed to a nasty one. "You went to blond, huh? It suited you, almost as much as brown does." she said with a smile to wards the Badger. With some people, it seemed that almost any hair coloured matched them. Matty nodded when Seanna further mentioned about the change. "Mmm, I guess thats what I'm aiming for, though. I need a new skin, a fresh start to this year, you know?" she commented, before looking back down at her watch.
"Looks like this stuff is just about ready to come off, but I'd better give it a couple more minutes," she said, before grinning again, and resting her back on the blow-up lounge. "So how is it being a Seventh year?" she questioned, her green eyes looking back to the older girl.

It was true, Seanna had gone to blond, but she dreaded being blond the whole entire time. The Huffle girl had been brown for so long, that when she had turned to blond, it took her awhile to actually get used to the idea and even at the end, when the blond magically turned to brown again, she still wasn't used to the blond and was thankful for turning back to brown.
"Yeah, but turning blond wasn't my doing, it was more due to a... magical mishap" Seanna grinned at Matty. The Huffle still wasn't sure what happened that night of the Halloween dance to change her hair to blond, so she had pinned it down as a magical mishap. A magical mishap, that no matter what magic she tried, the darn blond hair wouldn't be swayed to turn back to her natural color.
"A fresh start to this year" Seanna nodded, as she listened to Matty describe why she was turning her hair to dark brown. "Uh huh. I guess we all need a change now and again. Even more so considering what happened last year" So maybe the fact that Matty was dyeing her hair was nothing for the Huffle to be concerned about. Maybe it was just that fact that people did need to change now and again to make way for the new. "How long does it take to work?" Seanna asked, curious to know more about the hair dye. It seemed a bit more complicated than using the coloring charm, but it could be useful, especially if another magical mishap was to occur and Seanna couldn't get her brown hair back straight away. The hair dye would work like a treat.
"Busy" The Huffle answered, screwing up her nose a bit towards Matty. "There's extra study to do, extra things to do and I'm also trying to fit in doing things around Hogwarts one last time before I graduate at the end of year" It was another of her small goals that she had set out to do. Seanna wanted to do those one last things she had done over the years before she couldn't do them anymore because basically, some things were meant only to do be done at Hogwarts.
