Vanessa had been upstairs sleeping. She'd had no energy since that whole thing with Mike happened, and she just felt awful. She hadn't eaten much since then either, and she was just generally in a bad mood lately. So the yelling from downstairs didn't really improve anything. Muttering angrily to herself, Vanessa threw on a sweater over her pjs and stormed downstairs angrily. She knew the voice that yelled at been Krissy, and she didn't care if she got benched from Quidditch or whatever, she was going to yell at her.
"What the hell is going on? Why do we need to be yelling?" Vanessa snapped angrily, coming into the Common Room. She looked and saw a man there and she gulped slightly, knowing it was her Head of House. "Sorry, professor," she mumbled quietly before leaning against the wall and folding her arms angrily.

"MAybe Nessa" Krissy said her gaze pointing straight at the girl whom had just stormed down the girls dorm stair case and almost trampeled Lianna and Abi as she went. "Had you come down when required you would know that part of the school is on fire and the dark mark has been cast above the green houses" Krissy's eyes focuessed on Nessa. She was very unimpressed with her for coming down and screaming, things were bad enough without her coming down and screaming things.
"Now that you know whats going on maybe you can calm down and try not to make things worse" Krissy said looking at Nessa, the scowl no longer on her face. "Do you know where Mike is? And is there anyone else up in the dorms?" Krissy said to Nessa. She kenw Nessa and Mike weren't getting along but perhaps he ahd told her where he was going as he was one of the current ones missing.
Krissy turned back to Lianna and Abi "It'll be okay, the dark mark is scary but that is probably the point of it, to make everyone afraid, throw us off, make us uneasy, which we can't let them do" Krissy gave the two girls a gentle smile. "And the fire is nothing to worry about, back when I was in one of my younger years the school caught fire, big magical one, we were on lockdown for ages, but this one doesn't seem very serous at all, just a regular fire. It wont be a problem at all"

Abby almost let out a cry as Vanessa stormed into the common room; yelling definitely didn't calm her nerves. Surpressing some frightened tears, the second year turned her gaze from Krissy to Lianna. "Do you know where Mark is?" she whispered so that only her fellow second year could hear. She had talked to him only days before and was now worried about him. The cute little Hufflepuffs had to stick together, and Abigail was prepared to go out looking for him (if Lianna came) just like during the previous lockdown and the two went on a little excursion.

Why had this had to happen Alexis didn't know. The dark mark? A fire? It all seemed to much to take in. Since Alexis was born and raised in Germany, she didn't know too many things about the mark itself but you-know-who's story spread very quickly to her ears. At that time, she was greatful that she didn't have to go through everything in England at Harry Potter's time. But that was all in the past know. Alexis was just going to have to deal with living here with her sister. Speaking of which, where was Flora? If she didn't come down soon, Alexis was going to have to get her.
Taking another glance around the room, Vanessa came down the stairs pretty angry. But Krissy seemed to have taken control of that issue. After all, Alexis barely knew anything herself. But the mark still worried her. How long were they going to stay in the huffle common room was another mystery that had yet to be solved. What fun this was going to be.

Kian had remarkably been in the library for a while now he hadn't been paying much attention to his studies which he should have been considering N.E.W.T.s so at the time of the occurence he'd been there. He'd been awaken from his slight daydream as a voice boamed throughout the castle. Coming quickly to his senses he'd made his way through the crowds of people trying to get to their houses to the closest window. His eyes clowded with doom as he looked out into the sky to find the dark mark and what looked like what had formerly been the greenhouses on fire.
He'd tried his best to calm the younger students on his way to his own dorm in hopes to at least help them gain some sembleance of calm. On the way he'd caught snatches of conversation from others around his own age and had drawn a few of his own conclusions.
"Sorry it took me so long to get here. I was trying to calm some of the younger students at least enough to get to their dorms," Kian said upon entering the common room worry apparant in his eyes. "I caught some things here and there and saw but... What's happened? that we know for sure?"

Krissy looked to Abi and Lianna having just spotted Kian make his way inside the common room. "Will you's two be okay for a second, I'm going to go explain all I know to Kian" she said gently to the two youngsters. She also wanted to work out who was missing. Mike still hadn't shown and if Krissy found he was just stuffing around somewhere she was soo gonna kick his ass because she was beginning to worry about those who hadn't shown up. Giving Lianna and Abi a soft smile she said "I'll just be over there if you need me"
Krissy moved away from the two of them and over to Kian. "Hey, its okay, no worry's" Krissy said to him in a voice trying to be calm. "Have you seen the green houses?" she asked him quietly. If he had then he would know about the same amount as her. Which in truth, wasn't very much. Krissy showed slight signs of worry on her face, but at least her back was facing to most of the students in the room so they wouldn't see.

Sarsha had gotten lost, plain and simple. Which was why it had been extremely lucky that she had run into Mike in the corridor's. He had led her part of the way back to the corridor's in her extremely worried state but they had gotten seperated amidst the rush of people and Sarsha had been left to make her own way back to the hufflepuff common room, but whenever she got worried or scared she tended to get lost. Hence why she was so late getting into the common room.
The young girl stepped through the portrait hole her eyes welled up with tears and a couple running slowly down her face. Scared was a bit of an understatement, terrified was a bit more like it. She had heard rumours all the way back about someone dying and a skull in the sky, a fire. She was absolutely terrified. A slight wave of relief swept over her as she entered but it didn't help her in her very upset state.
"W...whats going on...?" Sarsha asked her small voice trembeling.

Rebecca stormed into the room. She didn't know why she had been called there and she didn't care. She had spent the last few hours walking around an endless hallway. She was very frustrated and ready to blow.
"Alright I'm here!"she shouted while flailing her arms about wildly."I got lost in a storage closet!".
Rebecca stomped over to a chair and dropped down on it. Her arms were crossed and she had the worst scowl etched on her face.

Noting her lowered tone of voice he lowered his as well, "Yeah i noticed them on my way here. I knew something was wrong and heard some talk of the Greenhouses so looked for myself." For a moment he allowed Krissy to see his own expression of worry through the line of his jaw and eyes. "This can't mean anything good. I suppose all we can do is try to keep the young ones calm and everyone for that matter," Kian said with an expression of resolves since they were two of the oldest so the responsibilty fell on them. It woulnd't help any if they all started panicing if anything might make things worse.

Vanessa went utterly silent from her position at the wall and her eyes were focused on Krissy. Now that she knew what was going on, she felt bad for making such a ruckus. She was half-way through an apology when Krissy asked her where Mike was. Nessa froze, glaring angrily at Krissy as if she had just insulted her.
"Why would I even care where he is?" Nessa snarled, feeling betrayed that Krissy of all people would even ask her that. Especially right now. She didn't care that he was still a house mate. She hated the very thought of him.

Krissy had seen the young girl entre the common room and then her sister in a huff after her. She remained to listen to Kian and what he had to say, picking up on his expression of worry and nodding in response to his suggestions. They had to stay strong for the younger ones and they should probably calm both of those who just entered down otherwise there could be more than one problem on their hands. Krissy looked back to Kian for a moment. She had been about to reply to him when Nessa snapped back at her. Krissy grimaced. She turned to Nessa "I'm sorry.." she said to Nessa she knew she probably shouldn't have asked her but they needed to find him. "I just need to find all the huffles..." Krissy shook her head "..forget I asked you.." the last thing she wanted was to be in an arguement right now.
Krissy turned back to Kian and ran her hands down her face, a sure sign that she was beginning to get a little stressed, though not many would pick up on it. "Were missing a few people.." she said looking around the room again "Some of the younger ones and a couple older ones.." This worried Krissy. Where was Mike? The younger ones like Flora and Mark could just be running late or haven gotten lost, be the stragelers and Ben could be helping out in the coridor's as he was a 7th year. But Mike... Mike wasn't really one for helping anyone and Krissy doubted he would be a strageler. Was he okay? Were the younger ones okay? Krissy was definately worried. "I wonder where Mike is.." she said softly, not exactely to Kian but loud enough so he could hear, but not loud enough to anyone else could hear. A sign of worry had flashed accross her face as she said it too.
"We should settle those two down" she said to Kian nodding to her sister and Sarsha. Krissy looked at her sister, yeah she caused so much trouble sometimes. "I'll go help the little one" Krissy said looking to the crying first year. Krissy was sure Kian would be able to handle her sister, and even if he didn't bother, she'd still be fine. She was just being silly.
Krissy moved over to the young girl who was sobbing. She knew the girl was slightly scared of Krissy because Krissy had 'tried' to get her to join the quidditch team early on and she hadn't exactely taken to the offer very well. But either way Krisys had to try to help. Krissy knealt down beside Sarsha "Hey, its okay, theres no need to worry" Krissy said softly to the girl. "The green houses are on fire but the professor's will put them out"

And at that exact moment Mike walked into the common room, not looking at anyone, his eye's towards the ground not really wanting to make any eye contact with anyone. That was until he heard crying, he looked up slightly and saw Sarsha trying her best to hold back the rest of the tears that welled in her eyes.
It brought alot of warmth to Mike's heart that even though they had got seperated when he offered, no forced her to follow him back to the Common Room that she had found the bravery in her heart and sucked it up and made her way back, alone. Mike however, after they had been seperated had decided to help other students find their way back to their common rooms, it was mostly First and Second years, but some of the older students seemed to have lost their heads in the heat of the moment and forgotten where they were heading.
So uncharacteristical of Mike to help others, rather than only helping himself. He looked at Krissy and smiled as he crouched down beside Sarsha.
"Hey Sarsha, it's ok nothing bad is going to happen anymore ok, and I'm glad you made it back alright"
He said to her before offering her a hug

Sarsha sniffeled trying to calm down a little as the scary red headed girl spoke to her. She had always been kind of afraid of Krissy as that girl seemed to explode things quite alot. but right now she seemed to just be explaining what was going on which was good. She saw Mike enter and kneel near her too. He had made her come back and tried to lead the way. Though they had gotten seperated he had led her most of the way so she was no longer lost. For this she owed him big time. His words seemed gentle as he told her nothing bad was going to happen. Sarsha was almost inclined to believe him too.
Although Sarsha didn't get a chance to say anything as Mike then gave her a hug. A shocked look formed accross Sarsha's face. She didn't really ever hug anyone. She had hugged Kyle that once.. but that was an accident. The small girl just let the boy hug her, not hugging him back. But the fact that he hugged her scared her a little. She was still sniffeling and still looked very much like she was crying, but the tears, for the moment, had stopped rolling down her cheeks.
She waited until he let her go to say anything. "T..thank you for leading me back" she said softly. Her parents had always told her to thank anyone that helps you.

Krissy's eyes had been so focuessed upon the young girl and her words that she hadn't seen Mike entre, but an extremely large (and obvious) wave of relief swept over her as Mike bent down next to her. He was safe. She smiled slightly as she say him talk gently to Sarsha and give her a hug. The small girl didn't exactely seem very impressed about this but it was really the kind of warm caring side that Mike didn't exactely show very often. It was kind of strange to see Mike caring for someone other than himself.
"Mike.. where have you been? Are you okay?" she questioned him, rather alot faster than she had meant to, after he had released Sarsha. Krissy was worried that he may have been hurt or something. At least he had returned that was the main thing. Now where were the others. Krissy could see the Sarsha was a tiny bit calmer than she had been and now wanted to know where Mike had been.

Mike smiled and let out a small laugh as Sarsha thanked him. All these feelings he had been feeling over the last week seemed to have been swept away, as the events of this particular day had unfolded and Mike was showing a very different side of his personality than he had ever showed before.
One of compassion, of family and most of all one of loyalty.
"That's ok Sarsha, I'm just glad I could help you out"
He said with a large smile, before turning to Krissy, seeing that she seemed alot more relieved than when he had looked at her before. Although she spoke quickley, he made up from down of her words and answered then in turn.
"I was just helping out, you know, like all the first years that got lost do need help, especially in a situation like this where they might not know what is going on.....and I'm fine"
