The phrase "dance like no one is watching" was a good one to live by. However, in Abby's case, it wasn't something she should be doing. Unfortunately though, she was. Abby was dancing. It was completely horrendous, but it wasn't exactly the most attractive thing either. She didn't really care though because she believed no one was actually watching. And it was a miracle that she had found a place in the castle where her Muggle music device (also known as an i-pod) actually worked and decided to take full advantage of it. So with her headphones in her ears and "Shake It" by Metro Station blasting exceptionally loud, Abby danced her way through cleaning up her area in the girl's dorm.
Now if she does it like this, will you do it like that? Now if she touches like this, will you touch it right back? Now is she moves like this, will you move it like that? Come on!
Abby sang the rather off words to her song very loud and very off-key and she danced and made her bed. As she was bent over, there was a lot of bum-wiggling involved in her freestyle dance and the girl laughed to herself as she worked. But the second she turned around to walk to the other side of her bed, Abby stopped dead in her tracks. Someone was watching her.

Eaden was fast asleep in the common room, her body sprawled out on the couch in front of the fire. She made no sound as she quietly snoozed away. No one seemed to notice the sixth year as she lay there. She started to hear something that sounded to her sleeping self like rain. Groaning quietly she turned over and covered her ears. "No, not now. I'm sleeping." As if the rain could listen to her. She cracked open one eye to glance at the window. Funny, she saw no rain and a perfectly clear sky. Yet she still heard the sound that reminded her of rain.
She pushed herself off the couch and onto her feet. She wobbled for a second, the blood rushing to her head and making her feel a bit disoriented. After she got her balance she started to walk around the common room, looking for whatever was making that sound. Maybe someone was in the bathroom and left the shower on? Trudging over to the showers she peeked in seeing no one and hearing nothing. Pouting again she walked back to her couch and sat down.
The noise came back but now she figured out where it was coming from. Above her. Groaning as she got up again she walked toward the stairwell to her dorm and walked up. She had to pull herself up the stairs as she went. As she rounded the top stair she pushed open the door to find a girl whom she never met dancing around like a loon. It brought a smile to Eaden's face as she watched. Knowing it was rude she was about to close the door and let her be, but she turned around and saw her. Smiling sheepishly to the girl she waved at her. "Nice moves. Having a dance party and not telling anyone else?"

"WHAT?" Abby yelled at the girl, and then realized she didn't need to shout and the girl could hear her perfectly well. Slowly, she took the headphones out of her ears and felt her face flush a violent shade of scarlet. The song still blasted out of the headphones, only much quieter now that they weren't sitting in her ears. It took Abby a second before the ringing stopped and she could actually hear again.
"Sorry," Abby apologize very quietly, looking down slightly as she spoke, "Sorry, I didn't hear you. And I didn't mean to shout at you. Or disturb you with my horrible voice. I didn't, did I?" Oh just...shut up! Abby told herself, her cheeks turning even more pink, if that was at all possible. She tended to babble when she was nervous or embarrassed, both of which she was right now. The young Gryffindor looked up slightly at her housemate and flashed a weak smile. Something told her she wasn't ever going to live this down.
