February 7, 2009 6:59 P.M. Gryffindor Common Room
For some odd reason, Tristan decided to throw this Gryffindor party. Mainly the reason, was so everyone could get to know each other better. But it was settled. Everything was in order. Balloons, food, drinks, music, possibly everything you would want in a party was right here in this common room. He felt proud of himself, but this took a lot of effort, because he had to get every single Gryffindor out the common room for the day. Then he told them to come at 7 PM for a suprise.
He then sat down taking a first drink. He then clapped and everything came on. Music, disco balls, etc. He nodded and thought this was going to be a killer party. Bad thing was. Who was gonna clean it? Did it matter right now? Not really.
Time for the Gryffies to come.

Carys had decided to give this party a try. She hadn't really gotten to know any of her house mates this year. It would be a perfect chance to mingle with the other Gryffs! The blond had opted to wear her uniform, not feeling a special need for dressing up. Her long hair was down, and she had added some lipgloss and eyeshadow as an extra touch. Carys entered the common room and glanced around. It wasn't too much of a surprise when she saw that only herself and one other Gryffindor were present. It was almost seven o'clock, and Carys had a habit of being anywhere early.
The twelve year old noticed the decoration, and thought that the common room looked pretty cool! "Awesome decorations!" she commented, more to herself than the boy. Carys had momentarily forgotten that someone besides her was present. "Hello." she greeted, not quite able to remember who this certain Gryffindor was. Carys hadn't been to keen on learning the names of her fellow Gryffindor's.

"Ooh, sparkly!" Sophia walked into the Common Room and was blown away. Could this be the same room she'd lived in day in and day out? There were balloons and disco balls and...and food! This was definitely a plus. Sophia was not exactly a glutton, but she ate more than her fair share, something that no one ever anticipated. She was so excited to go to a party, a time for her to spread her social butterfly wings. This meeting of the other Gryffies was long overdue, and she was thrilled to meet new people. She too was wearing her school uniform, not really knowing what else to wear, and had her long wavy hair pulled into a high ponytail with red and gold ribbons tied at the top. She looked around and spotted two other Gryffindors, a Second Year and a Seventh. Interesting, she thought to herself. She couldn't wait to see who showed up.

It was like Guy had been sleeping for the past three months. He hadn't been socializing nearly as much as he was used to, he'd only been spending his time with either his studies or in the Room of Requirement. The Gryffindor had really gotten out of touch with the school, he didn't know any of the new kids, and he was loosing touch with some of his old friends as well. It was a big shock to him, then, that he was actually interested in the Gryffindor party Tristan was throwing. There wasn't a really good reason to be having a party, but that didn't stop his fellow year. Guy was thankful for it, too, because he couldn't think of anything to get himself back in the groove of things.
He pocketed his drum sticks into his back pocket as he walked to the common room from the guy's dorms. He saw Tristan, and two girls he didn't know. Another reason for him to get out and about more, he didn't know who anyone was. Guy was still dressed in his school uniform, pressed black pants, dress shoes and plain white long sleeved shirt. His tie was loose on his neck, his sleeves rolled up. He looked a little messy over all with his untucked shirt and his bright red beanie cap stuffed on his head. " Hey, Tristan man. Nice party. " He said, talking to the only person he knew at first.
He turned to the girls, introducing himself as he went. " I'm Guy Styles, by the way. " His grin was quick to appear as he looked at the younger girls, one looking about a third or second year, the other one his age.

Sophia looked questioningly at the Gryffindor she didn't really know, but upon spying the drumsticks smiled. "Hi, I'm Sophia Crawford." She always loved to talk music to anyone who could tolerate it...or her. She didn't recall ever meeting Guy, but he seemed like a really cool, well, guy. She realized that there were still only a handful of Gryffindors in the room, but it was a handful that she had never really met, so it was alright. She flipped her bangs out of her face and continued conversation. "This party should be a blast, huh?"

When Eaden heard about the party in the common room she couldn't be any happier. She had really met anyone in her house yet, save Sophia so this was the perfect opportunity to meet some fellow lions. She got ready early, wanting to make sure she didn't look like a fool tonight. Plain black straight leg pants, a yellow shirt, and a red hoodie. Gryffindor colors. Lame? Maybe, but she thought the idea was cute. As for shoes she threw on her pair of ratty Chuck Talyor's. Always a classic. Her hair was let down tonight, the newly added black streaks really did something to her eyes. No makeup, save for a little eyeliner and mascara.
She walked out of her dorm and made her way down the stairs. The room looked great, really well done up. A small smile found it's way to her lips as she saw Sophia with a boy she didn't know. She walked over and waved to Sophia, grinning. "Hey Sophia. You look nice." She turned her head to the boy and grinned at him. "Hi. I'm Eaden. Eaden Valo." This night looked like it would turn out to be fun.

Sophia glanced to see the one Gryffindor she actually did know. "Hey Eaden! Awww, thanks!" She blushed a little at the compliment. She looked at Eaden's outfit, a relaxed look, a comfy yellow and red number. Nice Gryff colors! This is Guy." She motioned to the boy she was standing near. Hmmm, she thought to herself. Eaden's here. The party should pick up relatively quick.

' Hi, I'm Sophia Crawford. ' He smiled politely, although didn't bother with the whole shaking hands thing. It was too formal to be bothered with most of the time for Guy. " Nice to meet you, Sophia. Pretty exciting party, right? " He said, noticing how small the girl looked, about a foot shorter than he was. She looked mini, a thought Guy found both funny and cute. Eaden Valo... Guy's grin increased slightly as he asked the question that had popped into his mind the second she said her last name.
" Any relation to Ville? " He questioned the girl, doubting it thoroughly but getting amusement from asking anyway. It appeared that both of the girls knew one another, and Guy was a little thankful that at least someone knew someone else at this little get together, excluding him and Tristan. He nodded his head with a short chuckle as Sophia introduced him. " Yeah, Guy Styles, at your service. " He said, once again not bothering to shake hands. His hands slid into his pockets as he gave the place a quick once over. The food and drinks, besides the company, were what interested him most, as any other hungry teenage boy.

A light blush appeared on Eaden's face as Sophia complimented her back. She shoved her hands in her pockets, eyes darting away for a second. Once the blush went away she looked back at Sophia and the boy she now knew as Guy. "Thanks Sophia and very nice to meet you Guy."
" Any relation to Ville? "
"Oh man, I wish." She said, laughing at his question. She didn't get that one often. This sparked a whole new apperciation for meeting new people. Giving Guy a smile she ruffled her bangs, glancing between him and Sophia. "You know the band HIM? They're one of my favorites." She pulled on her hoodie slightly, feeling the fabric stretch.
She looked around again at who was there at the party. More people were coming and milling about. She was happy to have found Sophia. She didn't know Sophia very well but from the time they spent together in their dorm she really did like this girl a lot. Turning back to them she smiled, sighing a little. "This party was really needed. It's nice to meet everyone."

When Izzy had first heard that all Gryffindors were to stay out of the common room for the day, she was not a happy camper. It was the common room of her house, so she had every right to be in there whenever she wanted to be. However, once she had heard the word "surprise", any and all problems she had with staying out of the common room disappeared. Planned surprises were always tons of fun, and after the last couple of months, the first year could sure use one. There had been no special celebration for the winter holidays, no special celebration for new years, and she was just about over the most miserable illness she had ever had - Dragon Pox. If she needed to stay out of the common room for most of the day in order to get a surprise, she'd do it.
So after waking up this morning and having breakfast in the Great Hall, Izzy had returned to her dormitory to grab her bag filled with a few school books, some parchment, a quill, and a bottle of ink. She had a lot of work to catch up on from when she was sick, so what better time to do it than when she had to stay out of Gryffindor Tower? The library was nice and quiet, although Izzy still preferred the comforts of the Gryffindor Common Room to do her work. However, the library was accommodating enough and she was able to complete every assignment she needed to.
It was now just about seven o'clock as Izzy approached the portrait of the Fat Lady and muttered the password. The picture swung open and the red head climbed through the portrait hole in a hurry, only to stop in her tracks the second she stepped in the common room. It was... awesome. There were Gryffindor-colored decorations, music, food... even disco balls! "Whoa," Izzy muttered, her green eyes wide with excitement as she took in the scene.

A party, huh? Why not? Abby wasn't one to turn down a social function and this was also a good opportunity for her to get to know her house. So far, she'd been a bit of a hermit when it came to her house; she didn't really know anybody and she hadn't made the effort to do so. Around new people, Abby always got shy but once she was more comfortable with them, she could have a lot of fun.
Coming down the stairs, Abby ran her hand through her hair once more, making sure it wasn't too flat, but not too out of control either. Clad in Muggle clothes, she wore a pair of faded blue jeans and a white tank top with a pink, long-sleeved shirt over it. The four buttons at the top of her shirt were undone so the tank top was visible, but not much else. Abby reached the bottom step and crossed her arms over her chest, looking around. She knew nobody. With a slight sigh, Abby made her way across the room, spotting a rather cute boy as she passed, but went to the food table. The Gryffindor girl piled up her plate with all the good junk she always promised herself she wouldn't eat and poured a drink. As she turned again, Abby sauntered over to a chair in front of the fire and plunked herself down.

Tristan had been very persistant in telling Anna to leave the Gryffindor common room when she was trying to study or try to come up with Quidditch strategies. Really it depended on wether the girl needed a break for the long essays or the tedious reading assignments. Course, she wasn't the only gryffie who had been told to leave, but why would he want everyone to leave the house and come back at 7? Anna would have asked but her boyfriend was the prefect and technically that outranks quidditch captain unless they were on the pitch. Well, hopefully it would be a good surprise because Tristan seemed rather excited.
Taking refuge either in the grounds or the library, Anna thankfully got a good chunk of her work finished since being the procrastinator she is, the pile was really starting to grow fast. Checking her watch, it was finally getting closes to seven which ment it was time to start heading back to the tower. Trudging up the stairs and giving the password to the Fat Lady, the portrait swung open and behold, the common room had been completley transformed. A party? Finally! It had been ages since Gryffindor House has had a party, this was totally wicked. The music, the scarlet and gold colors hung everywhere and even a disco ball to tie everything together.
Taking a look about the room, the sixth year saw her fellow lions as it seems they had only just returned themselves. However she seemed to only know a few of them like Guy, Abby and Isabella but the others Anna did not really recognize. Sitting down in a chair a bit farther off sat Tristan. Going up and putting her arms around his neck she smilied and said, "Did you put everything together yourself? That's amazing!"

He looked over to the person who said hey to him. It was Guy Styles. For some odd reason, Tristan still had no facial expression. He then threw his can somewhere, but it made it into a trash can. Then his facial expression went alittle evil for a second, then back to normal. He looked at the people coming in. He smiled, but little evily, but really, he smiled because the Gryffies actually listened. It was 7:01 P.M. still good, still good. More Gryffindors should be coming soon.
Then a few minutes later, Anna came and wrapped her arms around Tristan. He looked at her weird, like he did when he talked to her at the Owlry. He smiled evily, "Yeah, babe. I did it all," he said laughing sort of evily.

Tristan looked like he didn't even recognized his fellow seventh year, so Guy shrugged his shoulders and looked back to the couple of girls around him that he was talking to, Sophia, and Eaden. " Oh, damn. " He said with a small grin as he looked back to Eaden just as she mentioned that she wasn't really related to Ville Valo, but wished she was. Guy wished she was, too, because that would be pretty awesome if she was. Then he could have a friend who was related to Ville Valo, which would just be cool in general. " Decent band, though. " He commented, talking about HIM. He sent a small smile at Sophia, wondering if she knew of the band.
They weren't really among his favorites, but they were decent enough for him to listen to them when he had the time. " So what do you guys think of this littler gathering? " He asked, motioning to the groups of Gryffindors that were still gathering. It was kind of nice to see most of the house out and about together instead of everyone doing their own thing by themselves.

I guess that old saying applies, Sophia mused. You can lead a horse to water, but you can't force it to drink. It seemed like all the Gryffindors were in happily contained in the Common Room, but no one was really making an effort to socialize. Well, that wasn't true. There were a couple of people, like Guy, who were meeting people.
Sophia knew of HIM, but wasn't really into it. It wasn't that she hated them, but she had just never listened to them.
" So what do you guys think of this littler gathering? "
"I think that it was a really cool idea. I know that I have no clue who most of these people are, so at least I can figure out who is a Gryffindor and who isn't." She wondered if Tristan had planned any of those mixer games they played at parties and such, the cheesy little get-to-know-you games that everyone pretended not to like, but secretly did.
