Okay, who else is watching? Phelps makes me want to get into a pool and work on my breast stroke right now. ... Like I could ever be that good. The men's gymnastics team from China... WOAH! Okay, I'm no expert, but even I could tell they were awesome.

I've been watching as much as I could, (the weather wasn't nice, and luckily, I have no life)I had a soccer game to play, and right now they've stopped airing the olympics for stupid AFL, but I have to say; go Stephanie Rice! The Australian Golden girl, my whole family was cheering And what happened to Grant Hackett? Sixth in the olympics is an incredible result, I know that, but the way that our broadcaster was talking about him, it sounded like he was a sure-fire win. And yes, Phelps is amazing, but I'm obligated to go for Australia Though I do hope he gets his eight gold medals. I was watching the women's gymnastics before, and its crazy what they could do. Again, it was China-dominated (good on 'em ) but there were a few Romanians that I saw too. I like watching the gymnastics, I know that I could never even dream about doing some of the stuff that they do Oh and, go the Olyroos![/end rant]

Hell yeah go the Olyroos the famous 'netball playing' soccer players. Hey did you see the other girl in Stephanie Rice's race, the one who came second, the commentators were saying no she isn't going to get any where she has no hope of getting a medal, don't bother paying attention to her, and this was when they were actually racing and she was coming second. And if Steph 'the pro' Rice wasn't there, that girl would have broke the record as well, cause she was over the line as well. So the commentators were so off the mark. ha. Though I'm going to have to say, the weight lifting is one of my favs. I love the look on their faces. Cracks me up. hehe. Oh and the Gymnasts wow me. I love the bar, and the rings the most. The amount of strength they must have. Woah.... Have any of the track events been done yet? Or ping pong?

Canada absolutely SUCKS AT EVERYTHING!
The only thing we've done decently at the Olympics was the freakin' WINTER Olympics when we kicked ass in hockey...which is a given...'cause that's our game. But other than that, we suck and I'm sick of our crappy athletes. Except our women gymnasts....because I actually know Elyse Hopfner-Hibbs.
...okay, I'm done.

I was sad the Hamm twins had to drop out of the men's gymnastic team ... but that's especially because my six degrees of seperation puts me only one step from them Still, I love watching gymnastics, especially men's gynmastics. It's just incredible. How do they do that?!

I'm watching basketball right now. USA v China I saw that race Lachlan, but our commentators weren't so mean. They were commenting more on the girl who had set the record was so far behind. And yeah, I'm hearing a lot about the Aussie swimmers. ;D Caleb, you guys kick butt in the winter. Give us the summer Yeah, those gymnasts. every time they do those flips over the parallel bars and then land on their biceps, I swear they're going to break something. I was noticing that after the rings, the whole team had huge ice packs on their shoulders. They looked like they were wearing football pads

Okay, I'm not gonna lie, I used to do gymnastics when I was younger until I decided that I didn't want to be a girly man anymore and picked a more manly sport, but even at low level, they make you do that crap on the rings and bars and it is BRUTAL on your arms and shoulders. Sometimes ice and painkillers just aren't enough, so I really have respect for those guys.
Even if they are a little fruity xD

... I don't think I'd have the guts to call any of those guys girly men to their faces.

yeah the opening ceremony was pretty awesome. did anybody else see the little green man, when they all had lights on, and he went out. there was one little dark spot in the shapes. how embrassed would you be? the gymnasts are amazing. imagine falling on the bar, or something. i think that would kill. i admire their guts to do all that. round of applause for Phelps. amazing swim. At the moment I am now becoming addicted to vollyball. How is that the guys wear shorts and singlets and the girls are only allowed to wear bikini type things. pretty random.

Ooh! I just finished watching the Men's 10m platform synchronised, or something, There was two of them, that's all that I can describe, and it was like, Oh... My...[/i] Gosh!!!. The Chinese were once again outstanding, and Australia just missed out on a medal, being pushed out by Russia and another country, I've forgotten. It was crazy good though. I didn't really get to see Phelps swim, but I saw the replay. **claps**

I've always wondered that about the Volleyball uniforms too I'm starting to think that i'ts actually something like the guys would find it easier to play in the bikini shorts but can't because it would be socially unacceptable. I'll have to ask my brother in law. he's a coach

I've been following Rowing when I can. Women's Double Sculls, to be specific. The US Pair, Kalmoe/Tomek? Yeah. Kalmoe is my boyfriend's sister! Woohoo! She's going to the finals!
