"I should hope so," Keagan replied, poking her tongue out at him. When Dean asked about her keeping the ball, Keag struck a pose with her foot atop the ball, her arms crossed, and a finger tapping against her chin, giving the appearance that she was in deep thought. "Ya know, I think I just might. It's a very pretty ball, and it would make a nice addition to my collection of things I've taken from unsuspecting boys like yourself," she answered, grinning broadly. "Don't you think, Dean?"

" Hm, " Dean hummed at her as she struck this thoughtful looking pose. He grinned slightly as she went on. Pretty? Ack, what a word for a soccer ball, he thought with a shake of his head. " So you take things from unsuspecting guys like me, huh? " He asked her, and then going on, " I think it would make a very good addition to your collection. It would keep company to... Whatever else it is you have in this collection. " He replied with a slight grin.

"All the time," Keagan replied with a nonchalant flip of her wrist. A part inside of her worried that Dean might actually believe she did, and that she had such a collection, but that was probably the part of her that didn't like to lie. For the most part, she knew that he knew she was joking. "It might look a little bulky beside the wands, pendants, dresses, and pink fluffy stuff I've taken from boys in the past. It's amazing what you find when you give these Hogwarts guys a really good inspection. I never would have thunk some of it possible if I hadn't seen it for myself." Keag ended with probably the broadest grin she'd warn since losing Dan.

" Ah, I see. " Dean said with a laugh. When she went on to describe the soccer ball's new companions he grinned slightly. " So, who did you nick the dresses from, then, huh? " He asked her jokingly. He was quite confident she was joking, but the part about finding pink fluff on one of the Hogwarts guys was rather funny. " And the pink fluff, steal that from someone elses collection then? " Dean joked with a slight grin on his face now.

"If I recall correctly, I think I took them from some seventh year's trunk back in my third or fourth year. I spent a lot of time up in the house those years," she said in a serious manner with a nod. "And the pink fluff was probably in someone's jeans pocket. Interesting bit to find it a guys pocket, don't you think?" With that she lightly tapped the ball back to Dean, not taking him by too much surprise as the ball was moving rather slowly and curving right toward him. "It's a marvelous collection, I'm tellin' ya."

" Hm, tricky little devil, are you? " He asked her with a laugh. It took him a second to realize the wasn't serious, joking right back with him. " I'd like to know where the guy found the pink fluff, and why it actually was in his pocket. " Dean told her with a slight shrug of his shoulders. He watched the ball as it rolled over right in front of him, " Rather nice, I must say. " He told her with a smile. " Although it would be better with a trophy, don't you think? " He asked.

Keagan nodded solemnly. "I'm a devilish little minx. Haven't you figured that out yet?" she asked with a wink, becoming more and more comfortable with the boy the more they talked. The fact that their serious conversation was behind them probably aided in that quite a bit. And what he had said...it was interesting. "A trophy?" she inquired. "That's what the soccer ball's for, if I decide to keep it once I get it back again." Her current grin matched her last one.

Dean laughed at when she said ' devilish little minx '. Those were not an arengement of words that he heard too often, he had to admit he found it funny. When she mentioned the soccer ball Dean leaned down and picked it up, holding it in his left hand. " So what would this soccer ball represent to you? " He asked with a small grin, not quite match for hers but all the same. He held the ball up to the sunlight and it reflected off of it.

As Dean picked the ball up off the ground, Keagan gave him a look that she hoped conveyed the playful message "What do you think you're doing with my ball?" but then she listened to his question. "The ball would represent a conquest, I suppose. Perhaps a promise...." Her responses were becoming more serious now. She'd have to watch what she was saying before she said something unintentionally.

A conquest? Of what exactly? Dean thought to himself as he nodded once. He then thought about her remark of a promise... what kind of a promise? He wondered, then asked, " A promise of what, exactly? " He asked this curiously, the ball now resting in the crook of his arm. His free hand went down to his pocket, subconciously pulling at the frayed edges. He let the ball slide down onto the ground once again and rested his foot atop it.

"I suppose a promise of a tomorrow," Keagan replied with a shrug, feeling her hand start to tug on her t-shirt again, silly nervous habits. She then looked up with her previous grin softened into a smile and her hand stopped fidgetting for a moment. "You'd want your ball back eventually, wouldn't ya? Unless you're gonna keep it, 'cause then it wouldn't be an issue." She laughed softly with that, shifting her weight between her feet.

" Tomorrow. " Dean said with a slight nod and a smile to accompany it. He noticed her hand wander down to her shirt and tugging lightly on it. Some how this simple movement comforted him. He wasn't quite sure why, but it did. When she talked next Dean caught her gaze. " Nah. " He told her, then with a grin said, " To tomorrow. " He kicked the ball up about a foot, then kicked it to her. He aimed it correctly so it landed on the ground a few feet away from her and made the rest of the journey rolling slowly along.

Keagan looked back into Dean's eyes after he caught her gaze. She hoped that her troubled emotions weren't apparent through her emerald green orbs (;D). She then lowered her gaze to watch the soccer ball arc toward her, only to land and roll to her very, very slowly. It just barely made it to her foot before it stopped dead. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do with the ball now. Was he actually giving it to her? She looked at Dean again with the question in her eyes.

Dean smiled slightly as the ball came to a very slow stop at her feet. As Keag caught his gaze once again, he glanced down to the ball and then back to her. Some how he guessed she was asking if he was giving her the soccer ball... Well, sort of. Dean nodded once and said, " So you can start a collection. " With a chuckle and a half joking grin at her. His hand was still messing around with the frayed edge of his pocket as he waited.

"It doesn't so much fit the bill if you're giving it to me," Keagan said with a small smile, trying to get the joking banter back but finding it difficult to get the tone quite right. It was only then that she caught the movement of his hand along the edge of his pocket. She wondered for the moment if this fidgetting was anything like her own. She supposed it was likely that it was, but she wasn't sure why he would be fidgetting. Then again, she had been fidgetting only moments before...At this rate, she'd work herself into a tizzy.
