Kyle gave Sarsha another thumbs up before mounting the broom. He eyed it supiciously. Not that he didn't trust it, okay, he didn't trust it, but with reasons. Good reasons too.
"Let's just make sure we really won't go too far okay?" he wasn't sure if he was talking to the broom or to Sarsha, or both. But he too preferred to have his feet firmly on the ground too this time.

The worry had reformed on Sarsha's face. Hover? On a broom? It all seemed so... silly. Like a game you would play when you were really small. She ahd shot a worried glance at Kyle and he must have guessed she would be worried because he gave her a thumbs up. Sarsha watched him mount his broom and then heard his words. He didn't exactly sound all that confident. But either way. Sarsha followed suit swinging her leg over her broom and awaiting the professor's countdown. Almost like it was oncoming doom.
"I..it wont fall when I lift my legs.. will it?" She asked Kyle in reguards to what the professor had said. It was a worrying prospect.

Kyle really didn't know. On a normal functioning broom? Probably not. But these one? He supposed he should be more confident.
"If you fall at least we are really close to the grounds," he told her. "But don't worry, we only need to hover. We won't be going anywhere." At least that's what he hoped.

Sarsha was scared, Kyles words hadn't helped her fear, infect they had probably increased it. She didn't like the idea of falling, even if it was just from a very small height, she still reconed it was hurt. But either way she nodded, her eyes moving to the man, waiting for his commant to lift her legs, the uncoming doom as she saw it. But another question hovered in her mind "T..they wont just t...take off will they...?" she asked Kyle, stammering a little. She knew horses could just take off.. maybe brooms did it too..

Oh yeah, it is not unheard of for old brooms like these one was the answer he almost gave her. But that answer really wouldn't help. He didn't want to, but a little innocent white lies wouldn't hurt, or so he hoped.
"It will be lucky if we can manage to hover 10cm off the ground with brooms like these," he answered. He didn't blame her for being scared. For a muggle, flying on broomsticks was quite a nutty behaviour. And for a girl like her who probably had never fallen off a bike or a skateboard or anything, falling off a hovering broomstick was quite an experience. "But you can not show her fear. If it really does fly off, tell it to stay like a good puppy."

Chase looked desperately at the others, she hadn't even been able to lift her broom off the the ground. How was she able to do this? She glanced over at Kyle helping Sasha, then switched her gaze to Artemis. Aih!, she thought happily, a perfect chance for her to talk to him. She hadn't said a word to Artemis although had watched him from the corners of her eyes. He seemed so talented at everything, she admired him so much.
Chased waved at him, trying to catch his attention, "Artemis!" she said happily.
(( I'm pretending this is before she had her whole obsession thing with him))
