After the Slytherin upset, Corey had decided it be better for him to get some decent practice in before their next match. Sure, half of Slytherin's three-hundred points were from the snitch grab, which he still wanted to kill Howard over, the other half were from his poor performance and a bit of blind luck.
And so after getting permission from Haily to borrow a few extra (old) quaffles from the shack, and a bit of charms work, he'd successfully bewitched the balls to make some rather intricate and semi-difficult shots on the hoops. Most would call him crazy for holding this much frustration against one quidditch match, but then again Corey was the loner who stayed off to himself. None of them really knew him anyways.
He was a standard person, he hated losing. Badly. And so when the fifth shot got by him, he grumbled. "Bloody stupid..." He set up the shot again, and missed again. He simply wasn't fast enough to get from the right hoop all the way to the left. That was a problem that needed remedying before their next match.
(Takes place prior to the Huffle game)

"You're going to let Ravenclaw beat you easy if you don't get your practice up," Lily said, as she came up behind him on her broom. He missed another shot on the right and Lily caught it. "Hufflepuff will walk all over you too. Not that you know, Ravenclaw wouldn't anyways." She tossed the quaffle she had caught back to him. So maybe she was acting a little cocky; could you fault her though? Quidditch was her game.

If there was a God, or for that matter, if Merlin actual did watch moments like this, he had one really shoddy sense of humor. The last thing Corey wanted, was critiqueing on how crappy his performance looked. Though he had to admit, the company was a welcome sight. The sixth year lion halted his attempts at blocking. Perhaps he'd made the shots too intricate?
"So, you here to mock me or d'you want a few shots?" Corey wuestioned the Ravenclaw. After all, what better way to learn a chaser's tactics than a seemingly meager and reasonable one-one-one practice match?

"I don't know," Lily said, thinking for a moment, a teasing grin on her face. If she had a quaffle at this moment she probably would have tossed it up and down thinking. "You might learn my tatics and use them against me. I'm in Ravenclaw for a reason. Besides, you honestly think you could handle taking me on?" She put her hands on her hips. Ooo she had a cocky little temper tonight. You'd think she'd know how to hold her tongue better.

"Only one way to find out." Corey claimed, a grin on his face perhaps able to match hers. Friendly competition, that was all it was, well, that and a downright low trick to learn tactics. Low, but not underhanded, oh no far from underhanded. That would require full teams to do.
Bored and stressed at failure after failure, the boy figured he actually could use a human challange. After all, artificial intelligence never really did work right. Nothing could beat the unpredictability of human counterparts. "So, was that a challange, or a mockery?"

"A little bit of both," Lily said grinning and taking the quaffle. She took a ponytail off her wrist and pulled her strawberry blonde curls into a pony tail, while holding the quaffle under her arm. "Warm up lap," Lily said, before taking off around the pitch. She took her quidditch very seriously. She needed to get used to the elements today. She finished her warm-up lap by coming straight at him from the right side, but throwing into the left hoop.
