1) It’s as simple as this:
The more you post, the better class is. But your posts must add or move the class along, or they could hurt you, rather than help. Any posts that I deem are unwise, and not thought out will be taken into account as the lesson progresses. Basically, the solution to this is to think before you post. Quality is better than quantity. In my class, you must post a minimum of TWICE to receive any house points for attendance. You have been warned.
**NOTE**
Any class that pasts 5 pages in a class thread with be rewarded GENEROUSLY (+50 points per house [not per person] that makes it to that page and we're still on classroom discussion.). However, posts, as has been said prior, must be up to HR standards and guidelines and must not only help the class move along but must also be appropriate.
2) No OOC talk.
As I see it, OOC chat is like whispering in class while I am trying to enlighten you in some way. It’s rude and I dislike it. This is not just any RP thread this is an educational one. We will have fun, I guarantee this, but please keep the OOC chat out of the classroom. If you really need to speak with someone, we have PM’s and I’m almost sure most of us have one type of Instant Messenger or another. If you need to contact me, however, use PM.
3) Read the course guidelines!
I can’t stress this enough. The course outlines will have all of the IC rules you will need to know in order to stay on top of the game. (No pun intended) I take education seriously, and the guidelines will tell you everything you need to know in order to not only ‘pass’ this class, but also fell like you would have actually learned something in your characters shoes. These are mandatory threads, they will be enjoyable but in order to prosper in this school you must attend classes.
4) Periodically check the OOC rules and the Course Guidlines
Because I am a new professor, and will grow as the course does, I have the ability and right to adjust the rules accordingly. That means, as students, you will have to abide by any changes and make sure to check the rules periodically to make sure you are on top of everything. I may post warning, but at the same time I may forget. So, do yourself a favor and do check back once and a while.
Now, I’m thinking that’s all for OOC stuff. Go to the guidelines, read them, and I await to make all of your acquaintances in class. ;D
**Note: As with the guidlines, these are subject to change at any time depending on mood swings/class developments**
