It was almost funny. How the girl seemed to lose just about everything, but losing your wand is in no way funny. Being so careless often got Zetta in awful predicaments such as this one. How’d she lose it? After a failed attempt at a spell involving levitation, she threw her wand in frustration which wasn’t probably the best idea. After watching it fall and land somewhere on the fourth floor, the Hufflepuff made an immediate dash towards the fourth floor. She would have gotten down faster, if it wasn’t for the moving staircases.
She’d been searching for about thirty minutes. Looking for the thin wooden stick was much harder than Zee had expected. She was dead if she had lost it. Dead! Thankfully, the floor was surprisingly empty, making it easier for her to search for the wand, but so far she hadn’t had much luck. It began to make the Hufflepuff think about how every here was so dependent on magic. If a student lost anything, with a simple wave of the wand, and the item would magically come out of hiding. She hadn’t actually spent time to search for her missing things for she always just used a simple spell to find them all. That wouldn’t really work now, but she was determined to find her wand the old fashion way, with a lot of crawling on the floor and digging into old dusty areas.
Zee was on her hands and knees, looking closely around herself as she slowly inched her way around the floor. This was starting to get quite tiring, but she couldn’t stop looking. She needed to find her wand or else how was she suppose to explain herself in class? ‘I don’t have my wand. I threw it off the seventh floor and who knows where it is now.’ That didn’t sound like much of an excuse. Now starting to get desperate, she began to starting calling out for her wand. Since there wasn’t anyone around, it wouldn’t hurt.
“Here… wand!” She exclaimed, keeping her eyes on the floor. “Here, wandy wand!” Anyone who was listening or watching must have through the girl was crazy.

Fourth floor, Transfiguration, Prefects and the School Newspaper. There was absolutely no reason that Dante should be here at this point. But, walking the halls was better than doing studying at this point, and he had been going floor to floor finding a new stairway to lead him to the top at every level. Six years spent in the school and he was still finding stairways, it was rather interesting to the Ravenclaw that in his wandering he had yet to find them all.
He whistled as he walked today, no real reason other than he was not a fan of his voice echoing through the halls on it's own when he was singing. Just something about it sounded wrong to Dante, if you're going to sing, why sing to nothingness? Eh, just another aimless thought in his head. A rather dull one at that. But as he turned a corner of the floor a strange voice echoed. So he thought it best to investigate . The whistling stopped and he became more aware of the sound of his own footsteps, so he tried to step a little quieter. Not that hard when wearing only socks for the day. He'd not intended to walk outside, and socks were just more comfortable without shoes around them.
He turned yet another corner and he came across a girl crawling on the floor. The last time he saw something like this, a Ravenclaw he disliked and a Gryffindor girl he did enjoy were hopelessly looking for an object. So, she was looking for something more than likely, and the validation came when she made the call for it.
“Here, wandy wand!” Gold, pure gold, he thought to himself. This girl had lost her wand how does one go about losing their wand? This was to good a story to pass up. So with a grin Dante approached this clearly foolish girl. “Lost something important have we?” He didn't want to miss any of it, he practically felt as though he were begging her to verify she lost her wand. If only so he could laugh internally again.

"Here wandy! Where are you?" She continued, not quite realizing how loud she was being. Anyone on the level above or below could probably hear her pretty clearly. Aw well, Zee would deal with the crazy Hufflepuff comments later. For now, all she cared about was looking for her wand.
She'd realized that she could continue her search for the wand without calling for it. First of all, it wouldn't run up to her like a dog. Second of all, it wasn't even alive, therefore, it couldn't hear her. It was an inanimate object. It was a stick of wood. Yelling 'Here wand!' was not going to help her in any way, but it just gave her a bit more hope. Maybe she'd say the magic word and the wand would end up in her hands. Anything could happen at places like Hogwarts.
"Wand! Come out!" She cried out, letting out a small sigh. She'd probably be spending the rest of the day looking for it, knowing her luck. Zee had a feeling she wouldn't be stumbling upon it any time soon.
“Lost something important have we?”
Zee froze, knowing she'd been caught. "Great," She muttered under her breath. Slowly, she got off her hands and sat on the heels of her feet. She glanced up at the boy who'd spoke and just stared for a moment, giving him a bit of a sour look. "Oh no," She said to him with a sarcastic tone in her voice, "I'm not looking for anything. I just like to spend my time crawling on a dirty floor, crying out for my wand." The Hufflepuff had a feeling he wasn't here to help, but to laugh. If he had wanted to help, her comment would have probably changed his mind.

As she slowly rose he confirmed that he did not know who this girl was. Not that it mattered at this point, Dante's grin would have been wider maybe if he knew her sure. Or it might have ruined the moment entirely. It was a rather unpleasant thought, that he was basking in someone else's distress. Especially when he could so easily be concerned for the poor girl, after all he would hope someone would not come up and make fun of him for losing a wand. Though, maybe he wouldn't call out for wandy.
And the more he thought about it the more he tried to recall if a spell to call a wand to him, or any object for that matter. He was sure he had at least seen it before but what was it called. If only he could think of it, this girl's problem would be solved. But perhaps it would be more entertaining that he was unable to think of it, this way he could help her find it, and laugh more at the term wandy.
“I'm not looking for anything. I just like to spend my time crawling on a dirty floor, crying out for my wand. Great, his grin widened. Not only was she looking for her wand, she had an attitude about it. Or at the very least a rather healthy amount of sarcasm and humor about the situation. “Well, I suppose you wouldn't want any help in finding anything then would you? Especially not a wand.” Dante figured something like a wand could not be that hard to find. But then again he even could grasp how it could be lost, so maybe it was dependent on that little bit of information. At any rate they he still was not sure if he really wanted to introduce himself. He was still unsure if his presence in the hall was welcome or not so he stood with his head tilted to the side, the same grin across his face as when he first came across the situation.

As Zee gazed up at him, she took a moment to get a good look of him. Thank goodness she didn't know him. It would have been so much worse to have a familiar face see her like this. Not knowing who he was made things much less awkward for the girl.
She couldn't blame him for thinking all of this was funny, because it actually was. How does a wizard lose her wand? It seemed quite ridiculous, but honestly, hadn't every wizard misplaced their wand at least once? Probably not, for most wizards were actually more responsible and smarter than the Hufflepuff was, but the thought of those great wizards losing their wands made her feel a bit better about the whole ordeal.
“Well, I suppose you wouldn't want any help in finding anything then would you? Especially not a wand.” Zee could tell the boy was entertained. She could tell that all he was really looking for was a good laugh. But any help was better than no help, right? Letting the boy help her find her wand was a bitter thought, but after searching for so long, the girl was desperate for any help.
She stared at the boy for a moment, then sighed and rolled her eyes. Obviously, she had failed to her wand and wasn't the type of person who liked to admit it. To her, asking for help meant that she couldn't find a little stick herself which seemed quite pathetic. "Actually," She said coldly, "I could use a little help... finding my wand."

Accio! That was the spell he was thinking of, wasn't it? Why had this girl not used it to get her wand? She had to be close to his age, but probably not older. He really had no clue who she was though, and it didn’t bother him much. What had bothered him was how rude she had been on his first approach. Now he could only wonder what kind of person not only loses their wand, but also can’t think of a wandless spell to get it back.
He could tell she was uncomfortable about the entire situation, not that he cared. If he had lost his wand it would probably be just as embarrassing. But, he hadn’t lost his wand, so he felt entitled to be enjoying the moment for what it was.
"I could use a little help... finding my wand." It was exactly what Dante had been looking for. And his smirk widened a little bit, letting out just the hint of a laugh as he spoke. “I’d be happy to help,” he said finishing the statement with a genuine smile. He was very much willing to help this girl find her wand the fact that he found it funny was a nice bonus though. He would keep in mind the summoning spell though as he did not want to give that away just yet.
“My name is Dante by the way” he extended his hand for a handshake. Formal introductions would at least cut some of the uncomfortable feeling in the hall. Not to mention it would allow him to use this girl’s name if he wanted to tell any fellow Ravenclaw the story later. He figured it was a pretty good ice breaker as well, as it could lead to the question of how one loses their wand.

Did she really want his help? No, not at all. Did she need his help? Definitely. She'd been searching far to long for her wand and it was starting to get quite frustrating. Did he have to be the one who turned the corner, though? Zee probably would have done the same thing when seeing another student in this situation, but the feeling of being laughed at was not a good one. Anyone in her current position would probably feel the same way as she did, bitter and stubborn.
She glanced up, putting on a small fake grin when he said he was happy to help. Honestly trhough, it could be worse. She couldn't really think of anything at the current moment, but there she knew there were worst situations others had been in. Maybe not as embarrassing though. She'd think up something later, when she wasn't in a rush to find her wand.
Dante. Hopefully she'd never bump into Dante again and maybe she'd be able to convince the boy to just keep his mouth shut about this. She grabbed his hand and shook it lightly, then quickly pulled away. "Zee," She said flatly. The Hufflepuff got back on her hands and began to search around the corridor again, hoping Dante would just go and do the same and just ask no questions about it. Hopefully, they could find it without a word said to each other and just go their seperate ways. Of course, Zee didn't expect for him to just let her off without a little more humiliation.
